First visit went VERY well! However not leaving 4 stars as I did call prior to my appt and requested an estimate. When doing so I was told $0 (after informing them of my insurance company name). Upon providing proof of benefits at end of appt, I was promplty presented with a bill (turned out my benefits only covered a portion and not 100% which is partially on me as I do recognize now I could have tried to figure that out prior!)

My issue isn't with the total or the fact there was one. My issue is that I budgeted accordingly.being told 0$ & then being met with a bill was surprising. Not as expensive as I thought though and I will be absolutely returning! If I could only take. 5 star for miscommunication I would!

Appreciate the new smile and confidence that it gives. Time to closes some deals! Thank you Dr. Ben Fong

Given the appearance of my teeth before starting my Invisalign treatment which I have delayed for over a decade because of the cost (thankfully affordable at Herongate Dental clinic) and pain (in the end it wasn't much) that would result, I can honestly say I am very satisfied with the final look of my teeth, though it is not perfect I have now a good smile on my face. I would recommend anyone to try it and I am grateful to Dr. Fong and his team, thumbs up!

Tried to use up my benefits before end of year. Booked an appointment online over a month in advance, got a confirmation email for the correct date and time, only to show up and be told I had no appointment booked and they had no idea why despite showing them the confirmation email. They were booked solid all week (to no one's fault) but seriously should consider getting a better booking system that actually works.

With reasonable price, I got very professional and excellent services. Thank you Dr. Fong and your staffs, I am very satisfied and highly recommend.

The whole team is very kind, caring and understanding. For many years since my 20s, I was apprehensive and very nervous going to a dental appointment. This has not been the case for over 10 years now under the care of Herongate Dental. My smile is a happy one, all thanks to Dr. Fong and his team's amazing work with Invisalign.

I got invisalign with Dr. Ben Fong. My teeth turned out perfect and it was one of the best decisions I’ve taken in my life. Dr. Fong and the whole team are professional and know what they’re doing. Visits were efficient and to the point. I recommended both my sister and my mom to take Dr. Fong as their dentist. Excellent work and would recommend to everyone.

I had the most pleasant experience during my orthodontic treatment at Herongate Dental! Dr. Fong was very attentive and considerate of all my concerns; he addressed all of my issues and ensured that I was pleased with my smile. Christine and Shiva (the hygienists) were absolute gems! I got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed by this place and they have actively given me a fear or the dentist. I’ve never had cavities or bad relationship with any past dentist’s ever before. I simply asked for more freezing which I would pay for and the doctor only properly froze one of my cheeks then cheaped on my left cheek saying I had enough freezing telling me I couldn’t feel it, then proceeded to yank my tooth out. My right cheek with the 1 extra freezing needle was completely fine and my left cheek ended up being very swollen. I was so anxious unlike any other dentist experience, I was shaking during the experience the dentist himself seemed to be in a rush which made me feel very uneasy. It’s been since January, and I’m still now scared to get my last two wisdom teeth out thanks to my experience at Heron Gate Dental.

(The intake staff was very good and did the job well as well as the hygienist, the dentist himself was rough.)

I got Invisalign done and was very happy with my experience at Herongate Dental! The dentist Dr. Ben Fong and orthohygienists/hygienists (Christine, Cassie, and more) were all very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful!

Herongate Dental provides the very best dental service. Even when I lived temporarily 100kms away for 20 years, I continued to have all my dental services provided by Dr. Ben Fong because I always knew I was in good hands with Herongate Dental.

I'm so glad I went to Dr. Fong in Herongate Dental to get my Invisalign. Him and his staff have been very attentive and considered how I wanted my smile to look. My questions and concerns were always addressed and they were flexible with my schedule when I was living out of town at the time. I am very happy with my smile now!

Avoid this practice! Rosa (at the front desk) was incredibly rude when I asked her about being billed incorrectly. They told me I had to pay over 400 from 2 months ago, but my insurance paid it. When I questioned them, Rosa and Dr. Fong disrespectfully told me to deal with it. When I finally called my insurance company to confirm it was paid, Rosa refused to apologize for her remarks to me and hung up on me. AVOID. Everyone at the front desk is rude and Dr. Fong doesn’t care. Zero customer service!

Been going to this dentist for 4 years now. I always ask for Dr. Hatem, he’s a great dentist who is very considerate towards his patients. He is aware of my insurance coverage and advises me so that I don’t pay much out of my own pocket. Very friendly and professional.

Dr. Hatem Al-Rubaiy is honestly the best dentist I have ever had. I had a visit with him yesterday and was so nervous because it was dental work being done on my front teeth. He made the whole visit so easy and painless. His assistant was great as well! I actually teared up when I seen the results. Just awesome. Thank you so much! I'm no longer scared of dentists because of you ahaha: D

1 star is too many.
Fillings that didn't stay in, and, was re-billed for them, stating it was "a new surface" (no.)
Extractions, (As by CDA) were described as "simple" were billed as "complex".
Trying to get the proper codes and info on the appointments after were like.pardon the pun.pulling teeth (and, was never send the proper info after multiple tries).
Dr. Hatem Al-Rubaiy was the doctor whom I dealt with.
Tis was back about 2008, with the Big Bus Strike.

I don't know who this Dr. Fong is people are commenting on but my first visit i got a young man who was very good the next visit i got some old guy who did nothing but complain about having to do his job.the third visit i got him again who wasted my time then i got a girl who just kept hitting my teeth with her tools, while not doing the job i was there to get done

I came here just for Invisalign, but after meeting the staff and Dr. Ben Fong I’m going to continue all my appointments at Herongate Dental. I have never been so happy and comfortable going into a dentist clinic!

I’ve had a generally great experience with Dr. Fong and his staff, though, there is one dentist that I would say is less than satisfactory. He recommended I get braces at 16, but Dr. Fong said I should’ve had them at around 13/14 (I currently don’t have them because I finished them a few years ago). That same doctor has also gave my sister a longer procedure to remove her wisdom tooth that has also given her a longer recovery time compared to when Dr. Fong performed the procedure. My mom had an appointment for a tooth removal but instead, he put a temporary layer on her tooth while charging us the price for a removal. My dad also had a negative experience with the same doctor. All in all, I hope we don’t have another encounter with that same doctor in the future.

Best dentist I've ever been to! Ive been a client here for over a year. I've had a few cleanings, fillings and a root canal at this dentist. I most recently had cosmetic bonding. Dr. Fong carefully listened to all my concerns and beat my own expectations. All the staff are here are super amazing!

Dr Fong and his team are amazing! My family and I have been coming to this office for years. We have always experienced the most professional and friendly service by Dr Fong and his team. Highly recommend this place!

Dr. Fong was the only orthodontist who told us what our son actually needed. We went to 2 others, both of who charged $50 for an assessment. We were told our son needed unnecessary procedures. I even mentioned them to Dr. Fong and asked if we needed the other pricey procedures & how much they cost. He was shocked! He laughed and said " maybe I should look again". In the end we got the strait answer, literally! My son loves the wonderful staff. Jena and Cassie are always amazing with him. It is not exactly a fun time for kids, there is lots of pain involved BUT he is always positive when he leaves. He knows how to take care of his teeth. Been there for 5 years, didn’t give me an estimate time frame, 3 of his hygienist doing my mouth between those years, visually would be lost where the other left off from what I saw, have a picture from August nothing has changed in my mouth and it’s April. Dr. Fong cut my time short because his personal emotions couldn’t handle the reoccurring question I had about my personal preference with my midlines. Very unprofessional. I remember once my sister and I had the same experience with him snacking over us while he merely checked out teeth for 5 min which is how much time he put in every appointment. If I have known the actual time of when I would have my braces off I would have left a while back, I’d at least think after 5 years at that office I would have a closed bite but my bite is shifting and improper with gaps in the front and he refuses to book me a further appointment because he didn’t let me know that he was trying to take my braces off the last appointment. Disappointed and shocked because my bite really hasn’t changed for about 8 months. He couldn’t even tell me what my concerns were in the past because he doesn’t write all of them down he claimed. If those were written and appointed From when I proclaimed them, the multiple times I did, I’m sure I would have been way more content with my result of today. Been a calm patient for the last 4 years but this year was surprising and sad with them. Tries to make you realize where you came from, just so you obviously see that there’s results, but it’s obvious in 5 years you would see them. Now my self esteem and depression has doubled due to the backlash I received from Dr. Fong and how he tried to make me feel as if I was wasting his time and money. No one should ever feel that way and I tried to explain to him how I felt in his office and I could only have one if he could record he said. Should of left when I got personal bad reviews from his office from many other people. Staff is super nice, but sadly everything has to go through him so they couldn’t help, even if they felt another way. Honestly done and taking his arrogance as a blessing. That’s that. Extremely disappointed. Going to a new dentist.

I was told the additional retainers were $50 at the end of my treatment and now when i needed them they say its $150, this is bad on them.
