They never answer their phone despite numerous attempts. I’ve been trying to get Toll payment receipts with zero assistance from any of the numbers provided.

****I SUGGEST YOU RENT AT BUDGET RENTALS! ****
Here were some issues with My rental:
-My car was not fully charged and I had to wait there?
-There was garbage in the main compartment from last rental, they forgot to clean the car before giving it to me?
-They threw water on the car and didn't wipe it down - it was mucky, dirty with dirty water spots all over and this electric car had large scratches on the side which I pointed out and shouldn't be acceptable - Get it Fixed! (especially when renting a luxury vehicle)
-If you are NOT a Gold member, you will be treated like Shiat!
-If you don't have Gold membership, you have to pay for your spouse to use the vehicle - *This is NOT the case with Budget - your spouse is included in the policy to drive and no additional charges.
-****The Chinese lady (desk attendant at Hertz) advised that car needs to brought back with 90% charge (I asked a few times) whereas the website and outside staff said 70% which is true - she did this so I would take the low tank option and pay extra $35 dollars, which I agree Under False Pretenses. I would like this Refunded!
-I was advised that Muhammed the Manager would call me back on above concerns and NO call yet?
-I paid extra $100 dollars, since I am NOT as special as Gold members - and when I agreed to sign up with my credit card, they said that technically this wouldn't get me the discount as it should have been done before - this make NO sense as I am at the desk and in process of renting and you should stop gouging me.
-Let's now forgot - I was told by the desk attendant (second time I was at the desk within the day), that renting the first time under GOLD will NOT get me waiver on Spouse, only second time onwards! (This feels like a Game of Snakes & Snakes)
-I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service and product at Hertz.
-Budget Rentals treats everyone equally and your spouse is included in using the vehicle.
- This is my personal experience and opinion.

Use another company if possible, if something goes wrong with your rental they wont help you, they leave you waiting, made us wait more than 3 hours and didn't solved anything. I will never use Hertz again, worst experience ever.

Their phone lines are off. I have some questions regarding my booking and I can’t get a hold of anybody every time I call there is an error of call not being completed.
How can i call somebody?

There’s a very rude lady who works at the counter, was inquiring about car’s availability as the website shows whether or not it is available or sold out. Online showed there were some available. She rudely said no. She was unprofessional and had a poor attitude. Had a friend go in right after to inquire and she miraculously had other alternatives depending on the person she encountered. Needs a refresh in customer service.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

I had a Tesla Model 3 pre-booked and paid for. When I reached this location I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled. I didn’t cancel it, and nobody seems to know who did or why they did. They allowed me to rebook but charged me almost double the price I had originally paid, and outright refused to honour the original price, despite this being their screw up. I believe that’s called scamming people, which is illegal.

Then we get onto the security deposit, it is advertised clearly on their website and in their terms and conditions, a LEGAL document, that the maximum security deposit is $200. However this location were insistent on a $350 deposit. I couldn’t afford that, so the rental ended up not happening.

Hertz still have not refunded me for the cancelled reservation. I tried to reach them, and they are now ghosting me, refusing to even acknowledge me.

Do not go here, they will scam you, steal money from you, and they breach their own legal documents. This company should be shut down.

If you make a booking online you clearly choose what kind of services you want. I made a booking and specifically I chose not to take insurance. After at the counter, the guy charged me extra basic insurance. These guys wanted to take advantage due to you don't know pretty much about the service.

When I noticed that the payment was CAD 639 instead of CAD319 (the online booking) I make a claim. They did not want to solve my situation by phone and made me return to the airport.

On that premises, two employees tried to refuse to cancel the insurance for no reason. They did not offer any solution -just pay they said- until a guy called Fauci showed up and solved the issue in a very easy way.

Fauci, in a very professional manner, told to the other guys how to do his job and how to solve the issue. He knew and I knew that there was a simple solution.

Hertz, cheer your employees to work with ethics as Fauci worked.

Friendly staff, fair rates and a seamless process from start to finish for renting a car at this location. They offered several drop off locations which also made this a convenient experience. If I need a rental in the future here, I'll definitely return.

I am a Presidents Circle member and had a horrible experience recently for my business trip with Hertz at this location. I arrived at the time that my rental was booked (7PM) and right from the get go the customer rep at the counter was very rude, no greetings and my vehicle was not ready and i had to wait 30 minutes for them to bring the vehicle (i had reserved a electric car category). I reached out to the manager (left vmail and email) and heard back 1 day later via email from the General Manager (Jaron Pais) and basically got no apology about the rude customer service and the delay reason was blamed on some generic thing about extreme weather (even though the day of pickup the weather was really nice). My return experience was equally horrible (very rude customer service overall and no basic greeting).

Customer service was not as it was expected. None of the premium cars or similar as advertised which we booked and paid for a couple of months ago was available and we've been forced to upgrade to what they called a "luxury" vehicle at our own expense! The clerk doesn't want to consider even a small amount of discount and instead is offering to take a regular vehicle at the same price!

Don’t trust this company.
We had a very bad experience with Dollar Trifty (Hertz Group).

We booked a car for 4 days but they made a mistake. They charged us 2 000 $ more than the original amount because they countING us 11 days of rent. (They also try to charge me 800 $ and 100 $ but the bank has managed to block these transfers).

After not having answer on our calsl and mails that we sended every day, we decided to go back to the airport. (Fortunately for us, we were still on site on Canada).

The employees couldn’t answe our request so we were forced to talk to a superior.
He said « we will reimburse you in 2 weeks, because our head office have to process your request. »

We waited 2 weeks … 3 weeks … 1 months …
Every time we went back to see them, they had a new excuse to make us wait.

So we decided to contact the Consumer Protection of Ontario. They were very kind and explained to us the steps to do. (They said also that they have a lot of complains for this company).
We followed their advice and wrote a « letter of complain » to the company.
When the manager saw the email, he directly answer to my emails.
I threatened to take the company to court and 2 days after I received the reimbursement.

In conclusion, I advice you to avoid this company. It scams you and they do every things FOR you TO give up.
Now, I get my refund (after several months) but you have to be persistent and to contact the gouverment for making things happen.

Terrible experience at the YYZ airport branch. The manager Mr Sourav is very rude. Would never rent again with hertz. Also after reading so many reviews all I can see most of the people complaining about your manager and same experience even I had with him But even after so many bad reviews about him Hertz as a co.has still hired him really Lol.
Look for other rent companies don’t waste your time dealing with hertz they are running terrible business with a Terrible Manager who has no respects for his clients.

Quick, professional, and efficient staff. Went above and beyond to accommodate during what could have easily become a very stressful morning. Not only for traveler and/or visitors. Locals can also rent.

Customer service was great! The only comment would be as I was not informed how the gas refill program works, so I paid more than $60 to 'fill' up a gas tank that was only half full. Next time i'll do as I have done at previouls car rentals, bring it back as I rented the car.

That said the car, the service was great!

I travel for work constantly and rent vehicle each and every week. The experience I had today at the Hertz rental at Pearson Airport has got to be one of the worst car rental experiences of my life. The woman behind the counter was nasty and rude. It felt like I was an inconvenience to her by renting a vehicle, even though I had already reserved online. I ended up canceling my rental and going over to the next counter to rent a vehicle. No one should ever act the way she acted today towards me, never mind someone in a customer service position.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with a rental company. This car rental company is an absolute joke with zero logic. Their manager Saurabh did nothing but complicate things and couldn’t answer a simple question. Instead of doing his best as a manager to answer a very simple question he continued rambling about illogical non sense then refused to rent a car. Go to budget save your money and energy. What a useless pathetic excuse of a manager. Beyond frustrated with this very poor service and being accused of being tired. I was not tired at the time but tired after dealing with this guy. Corporate will be notified.

Terrible experience. They didn’t have the vehicle I booked so they tried to sell me on an upgrade. When that didn’t work they tried to give me a smaller vehicle. Finally I then had to wait even longer for a vehicle to be brought to the airport. Not impressed.

Worst company Ive ever experienced
I booked suv but they said i can only take Tesla if not i have to wait 2hours
The staff was very unkind
I wont rent the car from hertz ever again
