Rent a car in Fort Meyers, FL, and drove to Miami, soon after take off noticed a pressure was dropping in a tire, I found a garage in Miami to fix the leak, but Hertz refused to reimburse the cost of repair (just 36 dollars), because I didn't call their emergency line first, what a greedy scams, never again renting from Hertz

I rented a car on 10/21 to pick it up on 10/25 and return it on 10/27. When I went to pick it up, they wouldn't provide me with the car because my license was international, and I had given an address in London. I was late for a job interview that day, I had to find an alternative means of transportation, and it was very difficult due to the urgency. I sent an email complaining about everything that happened and have yet to receive a response from Hertz. The person at the counter simply responded that there was nothing they could do. Terrible service.

Easy to rent a car, you have to reserve, you may not get it if you come without a reservation

Rented a car back in Dec 2022 to take to Boston. People at the office were friendly and professional. I found halfway through the drive the windshield washer fluid light came on only after using it a few times. So that was something they missed to do upon their checks before the next renter.

Obviously going through the States, you're going to go through some tolls. The way I went they charge the license plate. So I was expecting later charges to come to my account after I returned the car. The extra payments did post on my credit card a month after the rental, cool. But then in June 2023 I get charged another fee from THRIFTY of a toll charge, and then again Sept 2023 to my credit card. Why am I still being charged 9 months after the rental? Total scam at this point. Tired of calling Hertz corporate to figure this out.

Renter beware if you plan to drive in the States or rent from a different company that's not in the Hertz family.

Had a car booked 1 week back. Now when I come in today there is no vehicle. Service was not at all satisfactory

Have rented from this location numerous times. The staff working here are very kind and professional. Prompt service and communicative. The vehicles are clean. They have a good selection of vehicles which allows for my continued business in addition to the excellent service they provide.

They were very accommodating and understanding when I needed the rental longer than expected!

As a Hertz Gold Plus member I reserved a midsize car for 11 days. Hertz called me the day before to confirm I still required it as they indicated they were low on vehicles, I said yes its still required. The following day (the day of my reservation) they called me 30 minutes prior to my reserved pick up time to say they had no vehicles available. I expressed by dissatisfaction and said a vehicle is required as I am travelling out of town, they said that have a Ram 1500 truck I can have. I said as I am travelling out of town and driving approx. 3000kms I need a vehicle to be able to lock up my luggage and other items and a truck is not acceptable plus the price of gas driving a truck would be excessive. They said that was all they had at that time and would let me know when something else comes in. Approx 1.5 hrs later I got a call saying they have a Nissan Rouge there for me so I immediately wend to pick it up as I was already behind schedule. The pick-up went quick and I was off and on my way. Day 2 into my travels the temps were getting up over 20 degrees se I turned on the air conditioning to find out that the air was not working. Day after day the temps were rising to 30 most days and the reminder of our travels were spent suffering in the heat trying to keep cook driving with the windows down, I ended up returning from my trip 3 days early as I couldn’t take the discomfort of driving in the heat. When I returned the car and told them about the issue he said it was totally their fault as they are suppose to check the vehicles over thoroughly prior to renting and in this case did not as I was already late getting a vehicle. He assured he would bring this up to the manager who would contact me regarding fair compensation with either a discount/refund or deeply free rental days on my next rental. I stopped in a few days later as I never heard anything and they assured me they would let the manager know. Its now been 12 days as still nothing. I now understand why “provide an unforgettable car rental experience for whatever journey you may be on” is part of the company mission statement.

Booked a KIA Rio last summer and when I arrived they gave me a Mitsubishi RVR at the same price. Amazing upgrade, I didn’t want to return the car.

Honestly I'm always a good customer when it comes to renting a car, I always return cars back in a clean and great condition, the gentleman who whom I dealt with was super nice and he also appreciated the fact that I returned the car clean and in great shape even though I took it to the States, drove it through NY, PA, OH, MI, and then back to Ontario, car was great and had great features for the trip, a very reasonable price, only issue is that they don't offer after hours drop off, I had to pay for an extra day when I didn't need it, hence the 4 stars, but over all I had a great experience with them and will definitely rent cars from them again

Try a tesla you'll love it.easy process to get you on the road, any questions will be answered.a quick note don't bother with the brake pedal they auto brake. I had the model 3 and y and they are both a unique experience I have been renting from these guys for quite some time and no issues just great service and great rides

Horrendous customer service, I was a regular customer and though one person's money be insignificant but a customer's voice travels far. I will never come back to this place after the experience I have had.

Will rent you a car for the time they close yet will not allow you to pick it up because they are closed because they will not be paid for that yet they are still moving the car you rented to another lot.

We had a rental from Hertz through Carstar when our van needed to be repaired. We had the van for a week - we ended up getting two charges onto our credit card after we dropped off the van without authorization.one for $200 and one for $150, the explanation we got was that there was dog hair in the van. Our dog never went into the van - the person we spoke to at Hertz said that it must have been from our clothes. I disagree and never gave them authorization for the "extra" charges. We will never rent from Hertz again.
