Easy to access rental car pickup, no queues, clean vehicle, right in downtown, simple returns process and no added fees.
Offered 1 alternative vehicle but not an upgraded vehicle as Hertz President's circle.
Pretty bad windscreen wipers, heated seats non functional.

After reading numerous reviews about this rental point, I was afraid I would face the same fate as most people. Fortunately, that was not the case. I booked the car three weeks in advance. In the morning, I called to clarify if I could pick up the car a few hours earlier and received a positive answer. I got a free upgrade from compact to medium class at the rental point. No one pressured me, and the rental process went smoothly and pleasantly. The money was released to my card almost instantly.

Do not book here. Terrible management. The staffs works at the front counter are doing their best. It’s the management office sending no cars to the location.

We made an online reservation two weeks before our trip for a car for 7am, showed up on the day of and were informed that there was no car left. More people showed up after us and were left stranded. Trying to talk to customer service on the phone is like navigating a maze, endless transfers only for them to tell you nothing can be done. We had booked a cruise ($100) on the assumption that we will be able to drive there and arrive on time. No word from customer service whether this will be compensated. Bottom line is, if you actually have somewhere to be don’t rent here.

We made a reservation online in advance, but we were told there was no car available when we got there. This is ridiculous. They asked us go to the store on Yonge or in Pearson airport instead and I asked if they could check the car availability there from their internal system. They said they were able to check car availability in their store only but not other stores. Later, they told me the store on Yonge was sold out but there would be plenty of cars in Pearson airport (say 500 cars in Pearson vs 10 cars in their store), so we should get a car at Pearson. Well, if they were unable to check car availability in other stores, how did they come up with the idea that we should get a car in Pearson?

Hertz is so bad it really hurts. No cars available despite a reservation, and abysmal customer service when asked to cancel booking coz well there are no cars available. Enterprise is better

Is it possible to give this company 0 stars? We had a reservation with them, however upon reaching there they had no car available. Their customer service was the worst, they will keep you online for an hour and you will still have no solution at the end. Save your time and money by skipping Hertz. "Walking will get you where you want to be faster than Hertz will" (that should be their new tag line)

Really a worst location I have ever encountered, I had a car pickup at 11pm. I had confirmed the time with Google. It clearly showed 11pm and in that case I reached early by 15 to 20 mins.
There was no one at the counter and when I tried contacting Hertz. There was no satisfactory response. I am still struggling to get my refund. Just a head's up the guy working over there leaves very early and he will not respond to your questions nor will he answer any calls done to that location.

Quality of cars is bad - some rubbing noise in the Toyota Camry I got. Cannot change it as no other same segment car is available and all others have winter tires. All cars in that location have Winter tires in June, can't understand why. Even winter tire is ok but rubbing noise is scary in my camry and you realize it only after taking it to the highway/Expressway. Avoid this location.

Probably the worst customer service I have experienced in my 6 months in Canada the people at the counter on 25/6/23 lacked courtesy and understanding.

Not the best experience, they promised a price and quote, and when you get into the island no car available and prices are 4 times More.
Management needs to be trained how to speak with clients.

I share in Noor’s view of the Hertz experience promised online vs reality. Abysmal alignment between the Hertz Brand promise and policies and the real Hertz experience, that is a patchwork of ‘independent, unpublished, ad-hoc’ decisions made at by an outlet or employee.

Absolute worst location of hertz to rent from. The staff is so unhelpful, and not accommodating. They have different policies online and in person, they don’t take debit cards. This location also charges a ferry fee in case you want to compare with other locations. I didn’t mind paying it, but I was throughly disappointed with the staff. Also anyone who doesn’t have a Canadian credit card can’t rent either. Please do your research before going here. I gave them a full tank of gas back and they still charged me $15! Never going back here again. Giving 1 star because the car was nice at least!

If you can't bother to answer the phone or put up a sign or put directions on the reservation, at least be at your desk when I manage to find it. Lazy.

Can give high marks for the service at this location, staff were on the ball and professional. Note that you'll need to walk over to the island if you start from the city side so give yourself a bit more time. Likewise you'll need to take the ferry back to the mainland and the ferry when you return the vehicle. Budget time. That said, I drove right onto the ferry both times and it is very fast to cross. Zero issue.

Really enjoyed the service here. Options were all laid out in the process picking up the car, especially during the winter time. They also had available at the time options having a car with snow tires.

Rental car is on the island and need to take the ferry over. Plan adding on about 15-20 minutes.

Overall very satisfied with the service and the folks behind the counter.
