Hibachi Teppanyaki & Bar Fairview

Went here to celebrate my Sister's and my Brother in law's Birthday and Rico made our first experience very memorable, the food was amazing. Would definitely be coming back here again soon.

I really recommend this Japanese restaurant.

We got switched seats 3 times before looking at the menu - this shows how poor management and communication is here.
Food is less than average - everything’s really bland. They serve the blandest miso soup I’ve ever had in my life.
Takoyaki doesn’t have flakes.
The teppanyaki experience was enjoyable, but the grilled stuff was mediocre.

Even though we got the wagjag deal, we’d prefer to spend money elsewhere.

Overpriced teppanyaki, there is no experience there.
The employees were walking around with faces like they wanted to be at home rather than working.
I even mentioned to my partner that the sushi from the delivery place inside the mall was better than the one I had there (and cheaper).

Very generic teppanyaki that comes off as a cheapened experience. Checked out this place since I was curious to see what had been done with the space after it had been a couple different things and there was a deal on.

The entertainment portion from the chef was just OK. He fumbled the first egg that was part of the act but didn't replace it and ended up fishing out a bit of shell. It felt very robotic and didn't have the same engaging flare I've seen at other places. The volcano trick was more just a giant fireball than a nicely controlled flame. Thankfully the cook on the actual food was passable although one of my dinner party did feel a bit too much salt was used.

The way art was done on the walls was nice as well as the grill stations however any gains to try and make the place look upscale were immediately lost when drinks were served in plastic cups with worn Pepsi symbols on them that looked straight out of a 90s pizza hut. Use of other cheap plastic serving dishes further detracted from the experience.

I do not feel like the prix fixe meal was worth the cost and I question the validity of some of the more exuberant reviews I've seen. I did leave feeling full but I didn't leave feeling the desire to return anytime soon.

Was a good experience overall, service was very friendly but the food was 50/50. The takoyaki came out cold and the steak did not come out medium rare as requested. Very empty as well on a Sunday afternoon.

Service, food, experience was incredible. I am coming back with the kids to enjoy the experience soon!

The food was not fresh, and the waiter messed up my order, after you eat there; your whole body smells like BBQ.
Only 1 table sat with the 6 of us during a busy dinner time… so you can tell they’ve got no returners. I still tipped the waiter $12 dollars although he messed up my order… I regret it for sure!
Overall, the food is not fresh, (meat was a bit smelly and the seafood was defrosted for a long time obviously… and the service is terrible! The chef dropped my food on the table and he just picked it up and put into my plate! Amazing! Our bill? Around $130 in total for two people.
Avoid this place!

Teppanyaki is always fun. The food was good - though don't expect the true japanese authentic experience. Great for the kids and to get a bit of entertainment before the meal. Price was reasonable for what you get. I would recommend lowering the sodium content of the food just a touch. Thanks!

A fun first Hibachi experience! Our chef, Asim, was entertaining and paid attention to detail. The food was pretty mediocre but the overall experience was made up for in a fantastic show and some yummy sauces to dip our meats into.

Our party arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait another 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant smelled a bit smokey and poorly ventilated. Although that was kind of expected given the cooking is done in front of you, I thought it was a bit worse than any KBBQ I've been to.

Got the WagJag deal which they said original price was $80. Saw the same set on their menu for $55. Good quality was acceptable but the chef overcooked the food and everything was overly salty.

It was pretty bare and empty when we arrived early Saturday so we thought we'd be getting our lunch soon. But we ended up waiting a good bit of time before we were finally served food to eat.
As a franchise, the place loses any authenticity it has when all the staff are not from the area of the cuisine. But that's not a problem, just a whine. Although our chef tried to entertain us, it was. Just a little awkward. He seemed to be running off a script, performing each act with an announcement in sequence.
The food was satisfying and tasty. All in all. Would recommend but only on a busy day and only a one time experience.

The food was okay, not bad but not exceptional, there’s better options out there. Service was not great, a bit slow. We were a party of 4 and there was a built in 18% tip, which I only expect for larger groups. Ice cream is not included on all the teppanyaki meals, if you want vegetable fried rice instead of white rice it’s an extra charge, if you want chicken fried rice it’s another extra charge. Not really worth it in my opinion for the experience/meal.

First time at this location. Ample parking and readily visible from the lot. The server was excellent. But the chef, despite his age seemed totally inexperienced. My medium rare steak was beyond well done and my colleagues salmon was terribly overcooked. He provided pathetic showmanship. Could not do the smoking onion and gave up half way. Chicken fried rice was not fried enough and was just soggy rice with extra oil. Like in all industries, good help is hard to find.

The steak was all right but the lobster tail a disappointment for being rubbery (overcooked?). The Korean chef is an amazing showman. I'm planning on bringing my grandchildren on a day he's "performing"...

I have been to many tepanyaki hibachi around the world. This place has the worse service. The wait staff and the chef was okay, but the rest of the servers are like they don't want your business, collecting your dishes before you are done eating. Seriously need to retrain all the staffs for food services.

Our family was excited for the experience when we booked our dinner but was dissapointed. The person who brought us at our table was nice and very welcoming but the actual teppanyaki cooking experience is a huge disappointment. Let me start by saying that the chef didn’t even bother washing his hand before start cooking after picking up his pen from the floor. He tried to communicate with us but we can’t even understand what he was trying to say…. Maybe the fan is too loud or he speaks so fast. Some of the family member ordered the deluxe menu supposedly with lobster but they forgot the lobster and was only serve towards the end of the meal when everyone was almost finished…the same with the white rice that comes “supposedly” with the meal.

Overall, we don’t think we’ll dine in there again…it’s overpriced for mediocre meal and service.

Just ate here everyone and everything AMAZING! The sservice is outstanding food EVEN BETTER, chef IMRAN was the best,
my kids enjoyed with him.

Went here for Mother's Day and our experience was very underwhelming. We got cold soup with no spoons. We asked the waiter if we can get hot soup and they brought back another round of COLD SOUP! The food was ok but the portions were soo small. We had to ask the chef for more. Plus the tables and grill were dirty and the cook wasn't too entertaining. Definitely won't go back. The one located Downtown is better! Also, not to be rude but we went in thinking there would be East Asian waiters and chefs but all the workers were Indian which was a bit strange.

We went mother day dinner, it’s disappointed, one chef served 13 different groups guests, we order steaks chef cook all guests steaks together, hard to get even, also beef over cooked, won’t go again.

One of the best place to have Japanese food. The people who work here are so friendly and welcoming. Especially the manager Apon, he is so humble and polite. Would love to come back and have a good time again.

Long wait for food to start being cooked.
0 showman ship, the chef literally cooked the food and did no tricks.
After our chef was done at our table, he started at another table and started doing tricks. Then I couldn't stop thinking "WHERE WAS MY ONION VOLCANO? "

Food was okay, fried rice was pretty tasty but all the meat was overcooked.

Overall disappointed.

Food was amazing. Staff was very nice our chef was Asim he did really good.
I spoke to the manager for my grilfriend’s birthday party.
He arranged everything. Loved it will definitely go back
