Hibachi Teppanyaki Restaurant

I have been to this exact location numerous times but there biggest flaw is organization!
I made a reservation a week in advance for 6: 30. I show up for my set discussed reservation and I was told that they could not honor my time slot and my pregnant fiance and I had to wait stand and wait for a table to clear which may have taken a long while. What was the point of my reservation if I wasn't able to come and eat on the time agreed?

Sebastian was our cook and he was amazing! He was funny and polite. Put on a wonderful show. The food was delicious.

Food was plenty and delicious.
Chef was friendly and entertaining.
Server (Estelle) was friendly, helpful and great to deal with.

The place is always a little pricier but you do get a great meal and fun times.

First time visit, good experience and little pricy but it was worth visiting.hope they should do something special for birthday, wedding anniversary for couples.as it is special day for them.never the less we enjoyed ourselves.keep it up

Our servers were friendly and prompt and our chef entertaining but super quick. Food was just okay and super salty. The restaurant itself needs renos. It had a very rundown and dirty feel to it. Then we had an unfortunate ending when we found that they refused to allow us to include a tip when redeeming gift cards. It would have been around 18% of the pre tax amount and we have had no problem with this at other establishments.

Love the show and food here. The only issue I have is the looks they give me when I order. I get the rock n roll sushi and a side of chicken fried rice as I’ve previously gotten the shrimp combo and got so full off the rice I didn’t even take a bite of the shrimp. They treat me as if I’m trying to be cheap but I’m not, I’m just eating what I can ‍️ Regardless the food is delicious.

The food quality was good. Very flavourful. The service is really lacking here. Our reservation was for 7 pm, we weren't seated until 725, and we didn't see a chef until at least 8 pm. On the arrival of the chef he was very rushed. And as soon as he was done cooking he was running off to the other table to cook for them. I was expecting much more interaction with the chef for the cost and expected experience. Having said that the very little interaction we had with him was good. The restaurant floor is so greasy and slippery in the customer walking areas.

We purchased the Wagjag 7 pc dinner & was impressed with the amount of food. The preparation & taste were amazing! The one thing that really bothered us was that the tip was pre-determined and could not be changed. We will not return to this restaurant because of that, as we had already pre-paid for the dinner (although did not have the dessert), but they automatically put 15/20% tip - of which we both resented. It's up to the consumer to determine how much the "restaurant/wait staff" should or should not be tipped, NOT the restaurant!

The concept of sitting in the company of the chef around his grill is terrific and should be adopted by many others in the food industry.

Be sure to make a reservation as it is jam packed every time. Watching the amazing chefs cook your food-to-order right in front of you while performing tricks is amazing to watch! The portions are big and delicious and I’m always leaving full! Definitely a great night out experience and worth the money!

Worst experience by far. Reservation was made for 8, got seated at 8: 40. Ordered drinks, didn’t receive it and decided to walk out around 9: 30.

Booked a reservation for 6: 30 and waited about 30 min to be seated. Hostesses seemed overwhelmed and the place was packed - entire lobby of people waiting. Service in general was mediocre. The food quality saved it honestly - I had scallops and my fiancé had the steak. Both were excellent, and the chef was super entertaining. However, the coconut shrimp appetizer is $10 and you get 4 small pieces - total rip-off. I booked the “birthday package” online, and this was never even noticed or mentioned by our server.

1st time there or that sort of restaurant. Suggested by my friend for my birthday. My friend, my 7yr old daughter, my 26yr old son & his friend from grade 1 joined in celebrating my birthday.

We had an early reservation bc my son has a shellfish allergy & we figured a reso at opening would be best to ensure his allergy was met.

It's very cold in the restaurant & slippery floors. Once the grill was lit with the fire & the cooking started- you definitely were not cold anymore.
I enjoyed the salad, the dressing was delicious & I got 2 salads bc my son doesn't like lettuce.
I didn't try the miso soup, I gave it to my friend.
I ordered spring rolls, upgraded to chicken fried rice & got the chicken meal w veggies.
It was so fun watching the cooking, starting w the BIG flame!
Cook put an egg in his hat, did some utensil tricks, and made a fire volcano out of onions. Cooked veggies & (chicken fried) rice 1st.
Then cooked the chicken & steak. After that, he cooked the seafood, keeping it away from my son.
Made dinner for 10-12ppl in 15min or so. Real fun. We all had a blast.
Next thing I hear is drumming & a tierra getting placed on my head, with a green slice of cake & a candle. And everyone around the grill sang happy birthday to me, even the ppl on the other grill that weren't at my grill. Then the server asked my group to gather together & she took a photo of us & I was given the photo in a Hibachi paper frame.
Very delicious I can't wait to go back!

The food was tasty and portion size was big. The chef show could have been better. He cooked and left quickly.

Terrible experience. Made a reservation for 8 pm, and wasn’t seated until 8: 45 pm. Ordered drinks at 8: 50, and by 9: 30 our party of 4 decided waiting an hour and a half to even be served water was too much, and we left. Would not recommend to anyone who values their time.

Four people reservation for 8PM but we were seated an hour later. Waiter took our drink order at 9: 15 and we left without drinks arriving fifteen minutes later. The lack of attention was stunning.

Food was delicious.
The service by chef and staff was incredible.
Was unhappy that we called several times to make reservations and ensure Halal food is available for our family of 10 people and were never advised that Halal food is $5 extra per person. That kind of cast a grey cloud over the evening. Other than the food and service was amazing.

Great experience. Live kitchen, teppanyaki was best. Have to go there to experience the Teppanyaki, cooking infront of you. They would have spent some more time on the cooking table but they finished it quick I felt.

Food was very tasty. Must try is fried shrimp, teppanyaki chicken and seafood. Best is noodles and fried rice.

Pricing is average and not too pricy.

Ambience was lively and like it. Service was excellent.

Extremely disappointed. The teppanyaki chef just cooked the food in less than 10 mins, and that's it. He was in a huge rush to finish cooking, and there was absolutely zero show put on aside from lighting a sad fire on the onions. The fried rice tasted good, but everything else was a little bland. And for over $100 between two people with no drink? I could get a lot better/more food if there isn't even a real show. Would NEVER return. Save your money.

Really great food but the service was super rushed! I don’t like writing more negative reviews but we were just stunned that we basically had drinks, apps and our entrees all within 30 minutes! We literally stayed for 40 minutes and there was a group of us (5).

I think if there was more consideration to pace it would make a great difference, perhaps just a night they were rushing as we went 2 hours prior to closing? Unsure but, everything came out at once basically and it didn’t feel like a restaurant experience

Very pleased with this place. All covid protocols being followed. All staff friendly and knowledgeable. The cooks put on an entertaining show while making your dish right at your table. Food was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Ordered takeout during the latest lockdown definitely coming back to dine in as soon as we reopen. The beef was amazing and so were the Maki rolls. Everything was fresh and cooked to order.

Visited this place for the first time on Saturday Feb 12th, it was a truly enjoyable experience. We got an amazing chef, his name is Steve. He made the experience just as fun for kids as for adults, involving everyone at the table on his show. Even other tables were enjoying his show. We absolutely loved the food and drinks. Totally recommend visiting specially with kids, and I suggest asking for Steve:)

We made a reservation for 7: 30pm and we didnt get seated until about 7: 50pm! Other than that, food was delicious except for the chicken, it was very dry. Fried rice, Steak & Appetizers were delicious. Bit of a pricey place. Our server was awesome as well. Overall experience was okay.

I normally go to the Hibachi Oakville restaurant, but today (Saturday Dec 12) the available spots for reservations were either too early or too late for me and then decided to make a reservation in Burlington.
I am very disappointed with the service level.
We ordered the drinks at the beginning and we started eating and the drinks still weren't there until we asked for them again.
The menus were sticky and wet covered on a swimming pool smelling cleaner. They did not take the time to dry them.
We ordered some desserts and took forever to be delivered. We were asked if we wanted the bill and mentioned that we still were waiting for the desserts and only at that time they realized that they were ordered.
I will seriously think about coming back to this restaurant.

We had a reservation and didn’t get seated for quite awhile after and then it took some time once getting seated. Make sure you have time if you are going. The food and show was fantastic though and the portions were great

LOVED this place, it was a really good experience. The show was very entertaining and our chef seemed like he was having fun too. The only thing I would say is that it's not very clear what the chef in front of you will cook and what will be cooked out of view. My husband asked for the white rice and it came out last after all his food was cooked by our chef in front of us. It would also be a lot better if there weren't up charges for so many things on the menu. We'll be back, maybe do a birthday here in the future.

Had a reservation for 7: 30 and even called ahead to solidify that we had a table for our time. Members of our group were there on time while a few more were still trickling in. While waiting for the last few members of our group to arrive, they gave away our table after only waiting for 5 minutes! What's the point of making a reservation then? Waited for about 15 more minutes before we asked the hostess how long until we get a table. She said she didn't know, and was extremely rude in her replies. Didn't even bother to wait to get seated. Went somewhere else instead.

So that was probably the best chicken fried rice I've ever had. Green tea ice cream was on point. Teppanyaki is always took our girls for the time they also love the fried rice. Everything was very fresh and our cook Steven was super nice. Nice low lit dinner vide and the even brought dividers to keep people Covid safe with other group.

We will be back!

Our 7th or 8th time here and still an excellent experience with excellent food. It was our first time ordering from the menu, we have always ordered the teppanyaki for 2, which, economically is much better, but they said was now unavailable. That was the only disappointing part to our evening. Otherwise, it was great!

Be an Asain, this "Japanese restaurant" was very disappointed me tonight, all my seafood overcooked in Tapanaki, skills needs to improve a lot, and all foods cooked in same taste, and very costly than a real Japanese restaurant, I will never go back again, period.

The food was very good the concept of preparing it right in front of you was very entertaining. The interaction with the Cooks at the time of preparation was also very entertaining. They are willing to answer any questions of their profession with you. A great place to bring children they founded streaming entertaining. The waitresses and waiters or very prompt and providing a service for you. You do have to book reservations. I do recommend.

Nice food, Only down side is a bit of waiting to get sitted and also to get started with the food preparations. But well worth the wait in the end.

Service was good, most of the food was ok. The rice was crunchy.like it was old? Not like the Hibachi from pre-covid. I will try again, once more to see if they meet up to the standard they used to have.

This place is great! All the people are really nice and the Chef was very funny and kind. Went there for my dad's birthday and we had a great time.

Mixed feelings, on one hand the salmon sashimi was great. But we also ordered the seafood delight - unfortunately it was disappointing. The lobster was dry and overdone, the shrimp were not "jumbo" and the veggies were not fresh, swimming in sauce. In the future, would stick to other dishes.

WE are new here! Point 1 is for nice flavour sauce, point 2 is for well cooked rice. Maybe its just what we orderd: (if there was no sauce on the side it wouldnt be tasty. Onions pieces were to big and carrots were undercooked. Not enough sauce given to us for the Teriyaki dishes. ALSO most important thing is 1 plate is WAY WAY WAY TO MUCH for 1 person. I told the lady on the phone its for my 2kids and she said 1 plate is enough for 1 person, if i was there working i would say 1 plate is fully enough for 2 kids. We have SO SO SO MUCH LEFT-OVER AND AS A SINGKE MOM I FEEL SAD I WASTED 28.75

Fabulous food, service and overall atmosphere! My mother and I made a stop for lunch, and honestly it was the best decision we had made for food in a long time! The food was delicious, but what had made our experience exceptional was our server, Alex.

This is second time visiting Hibachi and they never dissapointed once again!
I ordered the 2 item dinner combo which came with; 6 Scallops and then I upgraded to a Lobstar tail for $5. Then i added 6 shrimp on top with Vegetable fried rice as well. Our chef was very skilled and very entertaining. We also ordered sushi rolls and also their Ebi Shrimp F'n delicious!

Came here for my husbands birthday with our two kids (6/4). Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is good and the show is entertaining. Our chef was really interactive with the kids and made my husbands birthday special.
We got the chefs special, delux and two kids dinner. Upwards of $140 but definitely worth it for any special occasion. Will be back again.

A young hostess by the name of ALEX who catered to my girlfriends Specific religious diet and accommodated A great solution for her meal to be cooked before anything else touched the grill! GREAT THINKING ALEX!
She even offered the special birthday package with cake and a birthday song aswell as engaging the table next to ours to sing aswell!

Food was great. Had the fillet mignon and scallops and lobster tail. Cooked med rare and it melts in your mouth.
Sake is a tad pricey for their value but a good experience overall esp if you have kids.
Worth the try. Will come back for special occasions.
The servers and chef are very friendly too.

Ordered meal for New Year’s Eve through Uber Eats and after 1.5 hour wait was told the order is cancelled. Should’ve notified earlier or not accept the order at all.

It was our first time at a teppanyali restaurant and we had a blast. The chef put on a great show and they had good service as well. We enjoyed the large selection of food, we ordered multiple meats and shared between 3 of us. I would recommend setting up a reservation, though if youre lucky they may be able to squeeze a party of 2 at another table. Go with a big group and you will have a lot of fun!

If you're looking for something different to celebrate a special occasion with the family or even for a date night, this place will certainly not disappoint!
We had 6 adults and 6 kids and we all enjoyed a fabulous meal with an impressive show. The service was superb, and the chef was so entertaining and talented. We will definitely visit again!

Well this was our first time and it was great Mary was our hostess her service was amazing very helpful she took care of us it was my son's birthday we had fun food was great everybody else that was working there were very nice to, Mary is a great team leader great job we will be back. ️

Really enjoyed my dinner there. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I really loved the atmosphere of the place and I would love to return for another dinner!

This was by far the worst service we've ever received. I called ahead of time to ask if they were busy and needed reservations, we arrived for our reserved time and were told that they had a chef call in sick so it would be about a 20 minute wait. We proceeded to sit there for an hour and a half before anyone showed up to start cooking. For our time wasted and terrible service, they offered us 1 free pop and 2 scoops of ice cream.

This restaurant charges $130 for 2 adults and 2 children but didn't even offer to have only the adults charged or even something similar because of the wait time and terrible service? Absolutely obsene. We will not be returning.

The food is great and it is a fun place to eat. Your tablemates can.make or break the experience though. Also it's really pricey. I do love it though.

Despite the confusing name, this is a teppanyaki restaurant; no hibachi in sight. The main dining area has three cooking arenas, each with two griddles and twenty seats around. While this allows them to accommodate up to six chefs at the griddles, I never saw more than three there, which means that you often end up waiting 10-15 minutes for a table.

The food is good. The chefs certainly know their trade, and of course put on the fire and juggling show popularized by American teppanyaki chains. As with most such places, the atmosphere is that of a carnival, not of a fine dining establishment. Between the griddle drumming and the loud music, I measured 71 dB (A) - far too loud for a conversation. At the bar it's slightly quieter at 67 dB (A), still uncomfortably loud.

The menu consists of the standard teppanyaki sets: steak, chicken, lobster, salmon and shrimp. They also serve a handful of sushi/maki dishes, but that's likely not where you'd go for a sashimi dinner. Prices are in line with similar places, from $20 for the chicken teppanyaki set, including rice, grilled vegetables, soup and salad, to $42 for the lobster tails. You can mix and match for $35-$45. Prices are lower during lunch hours. The alcohol menu covers the basics, with bottled beer at $5.50, and a selection of sake.

Plenty of plaza parking, including a handicapped spot by the door, and easy wheelchair access.

We show up and they say it's 15 min wait. Only one group in front of us. So we sit in the waiting room and look at the menu. The waiting area starts filling up. So I say to myself wow we beat the traffic. So we order a drink to make the waiting time pass by faster. The waitress brings the 2 drinks and a glass for me beer. The glass was disgusting it still had lipstick on the rim. So I drank from the bottle. Then they started picking groups that showed up after us. Keep in mind we are just a party of two. So I wouldn't think it would be hard to fit us in a table. So our wait turns into about 45 min and they keep picking people that shows up after we did. So we paid for our drinks we hardly had and left. Worst experience will not recommend and will not go back. Check you glasses before you drink out of them.

Not a bad place but the lobster did not taste right. I am just glad we did not fall ill. I don't know if it was spoilt but it did not taste right.

Super fun experience and great food. Took two young kids who were mesmerized. Definitely worth going.

I always love the going to teppanyaki places because of the fun with the chefs. Ofcourse the food must also be good and this place had really really good food. Compared to other teppanyaki I've been to I must stay this was the tastiest one I've had. The Chicken Yakisoba I think it was called was super delicious. Switching to a spicy miso soup is also the better choice. Pleanty of room and the waiter was just great. I will most likely be back.

Good place for a fun dining experience. It’s suitable for bringing kids and friends for fun. But the food is just average Asian home made dinner level.

Nice slot and it is always fun to watch the cooks doing their work. They are entertainers for sure. You do sit at tables with others due to the size of grill so if you are looking for privacy this might be something to consider. Enjoyed the meal and the various rounds of food that came. Fun experience.

The show was alright we've been to better ones, the food was cooked right and tasted great. At the end of the meal there was a 15% fee on our bill and we're not sure what it is, thought was a auto tip but we were still asked to tip.
