They took good care of me. I drive 2 hours 1 way to get there for sales and service. And great phone support.

After trying to call and not being able to get anybody to talk to I will not be driving 2 hours each way for sales or service.

Carrie Clark goes above and beyond to help her customers. She surpassed our expectations when we purchassed our Jayco White Hawk couples travel trailer. She was up to date with information on hitch purchase in order to be able to tow. She made it possible to pick up the trailer on earlier date. When showing us the trailer, she wasn’t always in our face pushing us. She made sure all of our questions were answered and if she did not have the answer she researched it. She made the experience exciting and personnable and we were proud to say she had helped us in this important purchase.

In case you didn't know (I didn't either) Hiemstra is under new ownership. I brought my older tent trailer in for repairs the quality of work was great. The cost was super reasonable. The turn around time was quicker than I thought for the busy season

Hiemstra trailer sales used to be one of the best trailer centres in Canada. Wayne and his staff were friendly and accommodating, offering exceptional customer service. After they were purchased by Leisure Days RV group in Ottawa, we continued to do business with them, both as a customer and a storage rental client. We recently made a decision to leave our trailer in Texas, so I cancelled the rental on April 5. They had already withdrawn the money for April from my account but I thought I might try, as a long time customer, to see if they might be able to provide some relief since the space was unused for 6 months. I called the office in the morning, and I was promised a call back. No one called, so I tried again. What happened next was unbelievable. When I inquired about the charge the woman on the phone (Jennifer I believe) became overly defensive, and asked me not to “speak to her that way”. I was merely asking a question, and in no way was I rude or did I raise my voice. She continued to indicate that it was the “head office” that did the billing and it had “nothing to do with her”. Customer service? Unbelievable. When I asked who I might speak with at head office - she refused to provide me with a name or number. Incredibly rude, unprofessional and devoid of any common sense. I’ll now be looking for storage elsewhere in the future, and in fact, I doubt I’ll continue to do business with them in ANY way. I would avoid this place if I were you.

Purchased my 2nd trailer at Heimstra with Carrie. She made us feel very comfortable and we had tons of time to check our trailer by ourselves, therefore no pressure. Not stressful at all to purchase a trailer here. Looking forward to pick up and we've been reassured that service will go over everything with us before delivery. Thank you for looking after us.

We recently purchased a 2023 Jayco Jay Flight 212QB at Hiemstra. We were very happy with our salesperson, Carrie. She was very knowledgeable and educated us on pros and cons of the different travel trailers that we were interested in. Very helpful!

This place has seriously gone downhill ever since the new owners took over a couple of years ago. They have been firing and letting go all of the people who have been working there for years that made it the quality establishment that it was. I had my trailer in there and it has been sitting for several months waiting for repairs. Needless to say I will not be returning there and highly encourage anyone else thinking about coming here to reconsider and look elsewhere. The customer service and quality of work offered is no longer up to par or worth your money

Malcolm was extremely helpful, patient and professional with all our questions and concerns. We learned a lot from Malcolm as newbies to the RV, trailer and motorhome world. He made sure to listen to our needs vs trying to make the biggest sale out of us. My husband and I truly appreciate his excellent customer service skills, transparency, level of knowledge and overall friendly personality. I would highly recommend seeing Malcolm and Heimstra Trailers for all your RV, trailer and motorhome needs and wants in London Ontario. We bought our Jayco tent trailer here years ago and the sales staff were absolutely excellent! However, when we needed some service done on the trailer, that's an entirely different story.

I made an appointment weeks in advance, brought it in the day before so that it could be looked at in decent time. Received absolutely ZERO communication from the service department. I waited a couple days, giving the benefit of the doubt, but then called to get an update. Left a message. No response. Called again the next day. Left a message. No response.

Finally get a hold of someone the third time and they hadn't even LOOKED at the trailer AT ALL! The service manager, Al, is rude and dismisses my concerns altogether! He claimed that the "appointment" was just a drop off time. Seriously? !?

We finally get the trailer back 10 days later, the brakes don't work and a hanging wire was not fixed as requested (the tech claimed on the work order that he didn't see anything, but it was a huge cable hanging across the entire bottom).

Had to bring the trailer back. Again, ZERO communication and even worse response time. I have to call myself to find out what's going on and can hardly ever get a hold of anybody.

LAZY TECHS AND RUDE, UNRESPONSIVE SERVICE MANAGER means we are never coming back for service, it was the worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle repair. And IT'S STILL NOT FIXED PROPERLY!

They are great too. They assessed my truck and trailer for free, did what they could and pointed me in the right direction. They are some righteous dudes there

Second time purchase from there and exceptional service just like my first time. Ask for Carrie she knows her stuff and definitely not you typical pushy sales person. There are in the camper trailer business to put smiles and dreams together for everyone.

In October 2019 we brought in our camper van (purchased elsewhere) for service. From time to time we were smelling propane inside. Also, we were only getting enough gas on the two-burner cooktop to keep one of the burners running. (For a decade, there’d been no issue with the cooktop.) We asked Hiemstra to check the entire propane system, and they told us they found nothing wrong, but we still couldn’t run two burners full force and still smelt propane. As well, we’d asked them to fix the mixing problem we were having when dumping black and grey water. When Hiemstra replaced the grey valve there was no more mixing, but instead of replacing the existing grey handle with grey or any other colour, they gave us a second black handle. Our service bill was close to $800.
When we took the van into a different shop in February 2021 for unrelated issues, they informed us the propane tank was leaking at the seams, and that the cable for the grey water tank was way too long and pushing the compartment door so it couldn’t be closed flush when locked. Probably would have given Hiemstra service department 3 stars in 2019, but now I am even less impressed with them.

Can be a bit pricey, but they usually have everything I'm looking for in stock. Friendly staff and a huge assortment of products and services.

Excellent service, honest and fair and that is saying a lot these days. Brad was excellent to deal with!

Can't say enough good thing about our experience buying a trailer here. Wayne is extremely helpful and provides great service from the beginning and has been very accommodating when we have to change a model because of a timing issue. Also very responsive and fast in/out for service after the sale. Would definitely buy from here again when it comes time to upgrade to a bigger one.

Sales service was excellent. We worked with Carrie who was amazing and very attentive. She is friendly and not pushy at all. We found the whole experience from looking at mobile homes, to discussing what we were looking for, to purchasing and pick up to be completely stress free. Carrie was very accommodating, especially with some last minute requests, and handled them very professionally. Our demo with Jim was great, too. All-in-all an excellent experience for first-time newbies to mobile home ownership. A special thank you to Carrie for all your hard work! Would recommend them to anyone!

Always excellent service and products. We have dealt with Paul for sales, Kim for financial, and Alex for parts/service, and have always been treated with the utmost respect. HIGHLY recommended for anyone looking for a new or used trailer!

The best place to buy a trailer. You cant beat the selection or the professional service. I reccomend if you're looking for a trailer, save yourself the hassel of shopping around and just go here. You cant beat 'em.

Last week we picked up our new 2019 JayFlight 21QB from Heimstra Trailer Sales.
Our purchase experience was nothing short of excellent. Carrie our sale person showed us all the features of the trailer and made sure all of our expectations were met, she is truly a pleasure to deal with. The guys in the shop spent time with me to go over the trailer and Jim made sure we set up my truck and hitch correctly, which he included me in, great job, the unit tows perfectly. I am extremely happy with my purchase and the quality of Jayco trailers. Excellent customer at Heimstra Trailer Sales.

We just took delivery of a 2019 Jayco 284BHS and were very pleased with the whole process from our first contact with Carrie the salesperson, Alex the service manager who demonstrated the features and systems of the new unit and did a great job of setting up the weight distributing hitch, and the gentleman in the parts department (sorry I can't remember his name) who helped us choose the correct accessories to get us started. Very satisfied with the dealership, and hoping for the same level of satisfaction with Jayco's latest products.
