Had a appointment and a fallow-up appointment, both visits I found the staff very welcoming and knowledgeable.

I was super impressed when the clinic offered advice on after care that was specific to the services received. I felt very comfortable and would visit again.

They were all absolutely amazing with my kitty, family had been using this vet long time so gave it a try.made my first visit a great one.

It's okay there; my only complaint is not about the doctor or staff who are great; it's about the people who bring their pets in. More times than not, they allow them to get in my space.
Not that I don't love pets, but I don't go there to be petting dogs and have my cat in a carry case.
Just my pet peeve.

Amazing people! Prices are the best around. I bring my pet for regular check ups because it's affordable. They are super understanding about your concerns about procedures your pet may need.

You need to pay attention to what these guys are selling you/ringing through at the cash. Went there for a small bag of cat food, they punched in a bag big and didn't notice the price being double. Left and had to come back to the store, as I'm walking back in the lady goes "I think something is wrong with her order". Yeah, and you're not going to run out to catch me before I leave? Not going to give me anything in return for almost ripping me off. Unreal, not coming back unless I am held at gun point.

Amazing service! The vet and staff were kind, understanding and professional. I had to take my cat in to get antibiotics for an ear and lung infection. I showed up stressed for my cat’s well-being and left feeling confident he would be okay. The details of his diagnosis and treatment were thoroughly explained to me, leaving me with no questions. And two days after the appointment, they gave me a call just to make sure he was doing well and didn’t have any bad reactions to the antibiotics. Amazing. Fair prices and you can truly feel that they care. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The pet care at High St Animal Hospital is the best in town. Dr Toor and his staff always has me leaving feeling confident that my Bruce will be ok. Most importantly, they are there for the pets above all else. I Will always bring my pets to High St Animal Hospital.

My cat had to have her hind leg amputated. I was an absolute mess taking her in but the staff were very empathetic and did everything they could to console me and reassure me that my cat would be well taken care of. They were wonderful with her and I'm happy to report that she has made a full recovery and is in excellent health. I highly recommend this animal hospital

The clinic was very clean and organized and the welcoming staff were amazing! However, my biggest discrepancy is with the vet my puppy and I seen. He made me very uncomfortable, was not friendly in the slightest, he was very critical of my puppies ears and made a huge ordeal over it, even though I'd had the puppy only 2 days. We are giving them another chance, however this will be a make it or break it appointment.

My dog is absolutely terrified of this place.

I brought my 13 pound Tortito here and he had, once again another terrible experience.

We came based off of their pricing rates, very reasonable - well now i understand why they are so cheap.

There is absolutely zero quality of care here. The Vet does not even introduce themself to the owner or the Dog. He seems completely afraid of dogs. My dog is so friendly towards people and would not let this man even close to him. (dogs can sense alot!)

The vet didn't even attempt to pet my dog or introduce himself, offer a treat or anything. Just stand there essentially staring at the dog asking me to "headlock" him as he then went to put a towel over his face to draw blood. What disgusting care from a vet - not to mention the dirty room and table.

The vet is completely unprofessional and actually also left me in the waiting room as he scoffed because I said no to sedation for simple bloodwork or anxiety medication he really wanted to prescribe. The lady with him left as well. How confusing.

My dog was at a vet last week for the initial exam and he loved every moment of it and the vets loved him. Unfortunately they did not do dental work.

Here the vets don't even introduce themself or say hello to the dog, it is dirty, they are rude and unprofessional and actually still tried to get me to pay for an exam.

Trust the doggy senses - talk to locals about there experiences here. It's nearly like they want to actively harm animals. The last time my dog was here before this was for a simple anal gland and nail trimming and they couldn't even trim his nails and recommended petsmart.

Cheap if you don't want quality of care and to traumatize yourself and your loved animal.

Highly recomend any other vet - even if you must pay a little extra. I'm sure long term it will be worth it mentally and physically.

Possibly the most disrespectful vetiver ever come across. Billed me for multiple things I didn't ask to have an refused to help with the health concerns of my dogs that were the reason I had gone in to start with. Wouldn't recommend anyone ever go here

Personally, I was scared. Really scared to get my dog spayed. I dont have many people or things in this world that matter, but this dog.

They have care for our cat and her kittens. They did a wonderful job and met our needs while working within our budget and did not pressure us with upselling services.

They really impressed us when we had to bring our beloved cat, and the mother to the kittens in to be put down due to becoming seriously ill. The staff were compassionate and understanding. They worked with us to meet our needs help us and provide our pet with dignity in her final time. They went above and beyond by sending a personal card and flowers the following day to express their condolences on our loss. Thank you!

My dog was not feeling well, kept on vomiting and had diarrhea. We called numerous vets in Brampton, but none of them were able to make room for him. We drove from Brampton to Peterborough, and Dr. Toor accommodated him without any hesitation. The staff took him right away and gave him all the required treatment. Thank you Dr. Toor and the entire staff for treating our dog on such short notice!

Had previously left a 5 star review two years ago when they assisted my cat in an emergency with a urinary blockage. I have called this afternoon (Friday) requesting assistance as my cat is showing emergency symptoms again. The receptionist rudely told me to go to emerg and that they are not willing to help us 45mins before closing. A urinary blockage is known to be potentially fatal in 72 hours. I'm not sure what changed in the last 2 years but these people clearly no longer care about the wellbeing of our animals. I couldn't be more disappointed.

They promised to call me back numerous times for the end of life discussion for my dear Bonnie and no one ever contacted me. They left me feeling confused and very much alone. I have never lost a pet before and I thought they would help see me through it. They the exact opposite.

First visit with young pup and she was well looked after got first shots and a call the next day for a follow up! All good there so far and hopefully will stay that way

After lots of searching I found an honest and caring animal hospital. The staff are thorough, and they're nice. I've been there a few times now and am happy with the vets, they'll get my business from now on.

I took my kitten in because I thought she might have a cold or allergies, either way, she needed a vet. The price for a overall checkup is $59.00 and then you pay for medication if your pet needs it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the vet was great! This was my first time going to High Street Animal Hospital, the Vet answered all of my questions and was thorough, when checking out my kitten and we got the help we needed. Would highly recommend going here, I know I will be going back!

They did blood work on my dog, but every time we called for the results, doctor always had an excuse not to talk to me! Worst place ever

So today I took my daughter to this vet to have her pup given his second shots. Our appointment was at 4: 30pm.
At 4: 50 we still were not in a room, it was obviously busy and I know they had just put down a pet for someone else.
My daughter had to get to another appointment so she asked the receptionist if she could have the flea treatments for the dog and cats, the receptionist said yes to the cats but not the dog. I then intervened and asked what the problem was with the dog getting his treatment. The answer I got was so strang. The answer was, the dog has not had his rabies shot yet. I had to speak up, I asked what flea treatments had to do with rabies vaccine, she would not answer my question. I demanded that given the dog needed his treatment and the plan was to rebook for 3 days down the road she still insisted that she would not give the treatment. I got very demanding and said we want the treatment, she then got up, yelled out, Fine I Will Lose My Job for you, slammed the door came back and we paid.
This was the worst service ever. My daughter has now booked the dog to get shots at another clinic.
On a side note, I called to set things up for a spay for my dog and a week went by with no call back. My dog is a large breed and mature, they probably aren't able to do a quick in and out so they don't want the job. That's okay, she has been spayed now.

We have used these veterinarian for 5 years and had great care, great service from the vets and the staff. Highly recommend.

Called for Euthanasia and was put on hold twice for over 4 min each time. I asked reception about an apt for pain meds until the decision to euthanize our 15 year old dog was made. I was told they don't see dogs that could potentially be a pit bull (not even a legit breed) and refused to book my dog. I was told vet would call me back to discuss this but never received a call back. HORRIBLE service and obviously there for the $ and not the health of and betterment of animals.

High street used to be my cats main vet and I'm very sad at the direction they have gone and I will never go back. I arrived for my apointment with my very I'll cat. I arrived to a empty front desk.while waiting 4 other people came in for the exact same apointment time as me but there was one vet. 20 minutes after no one even bothered to come out from the back we were not even treated.when we finnaly got to see the vet.right off the bat you could tell he wasn't an animal lover.he rudely says " so what's wrong with what do u want done. " as I'm crying I explain I'm not sure whats wrong with him that's why I am here.he then very aggressively grabs my cat and squeezed him so hard he pees on the table then began yelling at me and my husband for our very sick cat peeing on the table.he then said " he needs medicine " and when we tried to ask for an explanation on what medicine and how to administer it he rudely refused to answer any questions and said " the girl at the front desk will explain everything "
then left.so we go to the front desk and the girl doesnt even acknowledge we are standing there with a cat who's at this point screaming in pain.she then asks what we need. I explain the vet told us we need medicine.she then very rudely says " what medicine " again I explain I'm not sure.after 20 minutes of her trying to figure out the computer and my cat crying in pain she hands us a bag of medicine " she cant answer how much it is " and when I asked for an explanation on how to use it she again very rudely says " I dont know "
so I then say we were told you would explain everything to us and her reply was " oh did he " it was like pulling teeth to get them to explain anything to us and it was like we were a bother asking how to administer the over 300 worth of medicine we just purchased.there was one container that said " feed half everyday " and I asked do we half what's in the bottle or are they already halved and she then says " I think so " you should not be guessing when it comes to potentially over dosing someone's pet.she also forgot a medicine and thankfully my husband remembered there was suppose to be 4 medications.fast forward to the next day when his urine analyst comes back I missed a call from the vet saying to call back when I called back I explained to the girl that i had just missed a call from the vet asking me to call back and her responce was " so how can I help you "
I said I'm not sure you called me?
She then says a vet will call me right back
Half hour later the same very rude vet calls me back doesnt explain anything to do with the urine analyst that I paid for and tells me to come get another medice and that my husband is "sneaking him treats " while I was at work. I explained no hes on a very strict diet and he doesnt get any treats he then says " I dont think so and hung up " at this point I'm in tears and very confused. My husband left work to go get the medicine and get a explanation as to what's wrong with our cat? He asks to speak with the vet and is told very rudely " hes busy " after demanding to speak with the vet he finnaly got the medicine but again was never explained what was wrong. So 400 later we have chosen to switch vets and finnaly get an explanation as to what's wrong with our cat. We wasted 400 on this vet with no answers not the mention the money we have spent here in the past.yes there prices are good but you get what you pay for. Unfriendly unknowagable staff who dont seem to care about animals and the run around. I will never take another animal here or recommend them as I have in the past. Our animals are apart of our family not just a pay cheque as they may seem to you. Very disapointed highstreet.

The staff are so nice that my sister's evil cat didn't even try to scratch or bite them! Pretty good priced dog treats too.

Prices are comparable. Property is well maintained. Staff is friendly and empathetic. Vet is knowledgeable and friendly.

High street is by far the best vet clinic in Peterborough. The staff are super friendly and helpful and treat visitors with respect. The facility is clean and inviting and your fur babies are in the best care there!

They fixed my two cats and did shots for a very reasonable price, they are very kind and answer all your questions when asked

I had two dogs in their care one of which I had to put down, everyone was so nice and very easy to work with since my emotions where all over the place I didn't know my head from my feet, I was quoted one price but they have me a discount, took very good care of the situation. Even sent a nice card which all staff signed. Still have my other dog with them and have had no issues with them at all. Would recommend.

First of this place shouldn’t even deserve a star after what my mom and younger brother of 15 had to go through while bringing a beloved pet here.

I want to also put out there that I write this review due to the fact that I work as an assistant for three years and I would never treat anyone’s family member the way they treated ours! Unfortunately I do not live in the city to have been there for my mom and brother when their Great Dane Harley passed away at 6 years, I live 3 hours away and I also have Harley’s brother from the same litter!
My mom woke up as Harley had passed away during the night, my mom is a single mom and needed help trying to get Harley out of her place. One friend came over and one random guy off the street who knew Harley very well came and helped my mom get her in he truck, my moms friend with my mom and brother to the vet but they told the guy that there would be help at the vet to do the rest. As my mom knows what care goes in to your pets aftercare as I am the ones who does it as an assistant who works at a vet clinic.

When my mom got to the vet clinic all went down hill, the Vet who was on, was very rude about the fact that Harley was stiff and asked my mom very rudely what time she passed away and then proceeded to have a conversation with the receptionist about how there is no room in the freezer for this dog. When they pulled her out of the truck they didn’t give my mom time to grab her head as the vet and receptionist pulled her out of the truck they let her head smash on the ground in front of my brother. They then carried her on a stretcher to the freezer where the just dumped her like trash and while my mom got listen to bones breaking and watching them dump her. This can be morbid to a lot of people and this is why I would never take a pet that was alive or that has passed as there is no compassion to any pet or their owner! And the after care they put into my beloved family member is horrible I cried because I know of so many other vet clinics in Peterborough where she would of never had to see what she saw that day and my family member wouldn’t have been treated like trash. My mom is traumatized after her experience her and my poor brothers last moments with his best friends are one I wouldn’t want any child to have to see!

If you can don’t go here they have cheap prices for a reason!
