Went to get my wisdom tooth removed in 2022. Was there for 5 min. Took and X-ray and said need a specialist to remove the teeth. Told specialist is not available for the next couple of months. Didn't clean anything either. But was charged 170 bucks.
Don't recommend to anyone

My son-in-law just went there in excruciating pain.was told nothing they can do.doesn't have insurance & wouldn't pull his tooth, just gave him another prescription which he has already been on a antibiotic for a week because he went to the hospital.charged him 200 & sends him on his way.what kind of dentist would fo that.that's disgusting

Great place, was behind a lot on my Oral care and they did not judge. Also very flexible, worked with well with my schedule. I recommend. Also both my dentist I have had seem to care genuinely about my oral health, Dr. Mozahfarri is excellent.

Our experience at Hilltop Dentistry was absolutely incredible. My girlfriend went for surgery on her 4 wisdom teeth this morning. Taylor at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable with her cheerful attitude.

I have seen two different dentist/assistant teams at Hilltop for different issues, and all were friendly, professional and empathetic to an anxious patient like me. Their friendly staff were able to schedule an emergency extraction in short order, and the procedure was as fast and as painlessly as could be hoped

Terrible and extremely disappointing experience for my wife - she went to extract 2 teeth and came out extracting 1. I have extracted 3 tooth at a time and clinic in Dartmouth handled extremely well. This dentist was rude and not polite and didn’t listen to the pain she encountered- will never step in again nor recommend anyone

AVOID! This dentist office is terrible with booking appointments and confirming appointments. Once you have booked an appointment they will call to confirm with an automated system. The system is faulty and even if you press 3 to confirm they will cancel your appointment as a no show and send you a threatening letter. They have overbooked and registered more patients than they can handle. Hygienist appointments are booking 9-12 months in advanced!
There are many other options for good dentistry in Owen Sound. Do your research and look for the best ones that care about their patients and your family! My family has dropped hilltop and our stress level has gone down.
Also good luck finding parking.

I had a tooth removed yesterday and I was impressed with the professionalism displayed by Dr. Mozahfarri and his assistant Leila. I believe they genuinely care about my health and well being. The extraction was fast and painless and the small talk was wonderful.

The team at Hilltop Dentistry is awesome! Dr. Shahabi is really professional. They are compassionate, and skilled. If you are looking for a dentist in Owen Sound, I would highly recommend Dr. Shahabi and his team.

I am fourteen and suffered with severe depression last year, brushing my teeth, taking care of my body was not even i thought in my mind.the dentist i originally had was very rude and yelling at her assistant constantly, not only did it upset me to see but also yelling affects my mental health badly.i was told i had two cavities but then suddenly they told my mom i had 8.it would have been nice to know i had 8 rather than saying i have two.

Extremely disappointed, in the way I was treated today.
Was told that my x-rays should be updated. I said as long as they would be covered to go ahead. Her reply was yes, as I only had 1 done in July and could receive 4 every 9 months. When done went to check out and was told I owed $52 for x-rays that they did not cover as I had them done in July. I told her if I knew I had to pay I would not have got them done as I was not experiencing any issues. And would have waited until next visit.
My issue is not the $52 but that I was told it was covered. If she was not sure she should have said not sure if covered you can check with your insurance. But that is not what was said. The worst of the experience was the lady at the counter treated me with such disrespect and said that it was illegal for them to check on my behalf for my insurance coverage. (Not true, did confirm with insurance company)
Then to add insult to injury the owner called me and again did the same song and dance about how many patients they serve, can't keep track of insurance companies polices etc. But in the end still would not reimburse me my $52 as he stated it was up to me to check on my insurance. As again I would have if I was not told by the cleaning tech.that it was covered.
He sent me back $25 as his resolution. He said he would speak with the tech.about saying clients are covered if not 100% and he would speak with the supervisor upfront on how she treated me.
I will be moving along to find myself and family a dental office that will stand behind their staff's mistakes and not push the blame back onto their clients.
Would highly not recommend this office, not only for the reason above but takes way to long to receive an appointment.

Absolutely terribly run business. At my previous cleaning I set up my appointment 6 months ahead of time for this month, March 8th 2023. Obviously it is impossible to know your schedule that far out. They texted for me to confirm my appointment or call if any changes needed to be made. I called in and let them know I was unable to make the appointment because I would be out of town for work and needed to reschedule. I asked and suggested the next month on Aril 12th as I knew I had the day off. They informed me that this wasn't possible and the next available appointment they had was in late November. So the bottom line is you must make your appointment you set up 6 months in advance or you'll have to wait almost a year and a half in total for a rescheduled appointment. Seems logical to me smh. I will find a new dentist amd make sure to tell anyone I know to never go there if they'relooking for a dentist.

I was frankly terrified to visit the dentist after my last visit (not at Hilltop). The staff are friendly and professional and both dentists I saw were topnotch. Thank you Dr. Shahabi for the great work on my crown

Had a great experience at Hilltop Dentistry. After recently moving to Owen Sound I needed to find a dentist and decided to try Hilltop. Dentist Dr. Dandotikar was approachable and took the time to explain everything to me. The assistant Dana was gentle and made the entire experience pleasant. Would highly recommend.

A good dental clinic with qualified professionals and up-to-date equipments. Reason for the low rating is I'm very upset at how they deal with the customers with their charges. No consideration and they maximize their charges. Which is outrageous! Should be a little considerate of the general public. Out of many one of the disheartening experience is when I went to pay at the counter. They charged me $270 extra on top if the $450 dollar bill without any prior consultation. Reason when asked was *complications*.
Really disappointed!

Look at this! It seems like we have no right to question for our charges! Mind blowing absolutely. They sent me a letter stating "we will no longer be able to serve you"

So we have to blindly follow your methods and have no right to question you.

Gave me healthy smiles form to fill out for my daughter. When we reached for the appointment after having the work done my wife approached the counter for payment. They said we cannot accept the healthy smiles insurance. After I spoke to them telling them you're the one who told me to fill it out and you agreed to accept it then they accepted.

Instead of communicating and resolving or answering my questions. They send me a letter saying we won't serve you. If this isn't abusing their power then what is?

Give them a 5 star review and don't question them about the charges. You'll be a good customer

My wife has a fear of dentistry and needs sedation. Hilltop made a plan and treated her like a person. Very professional, kind and takes the time with each patient. Thank you, Dr. Patel and Savannah. Highly recommended.

Glad to know that my regular dental check up appointment is more important in their eyes than my 4 month old baby’s urgent medical care. God forbid you have a dentist appointment scheduled for a Tuesday and your child gets sick over the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning to get my baby in to see our family doctor and the only available time they had was within 15 mins of my dentist appointment the next day. Guess which one gets changed!? ! I have never missed an appointment and I do not appreciate the “warning” letter I’ve received from Hilltop in the mail for cancelling this appointment. It’s not like I confirmed the appointment and then just didn’t show up, without contacting them. Thank you for your attempt at a personal touch, by sending a photocopy of a personally signed warning letter, Dr. Shahabi. However, I will NOT be returning to this facility as it clearly, based on the policies, does not actually care about their clients or their families.

Hilltop Dentistry.the great dental team that is going to save Grey/Bruce. The team that nails your benefits HARD and then kicks you to the curb. What ever happened to our dental system? Covid made their prices skyrocket, and i was told by them, that the gov't gives them a annual " price guide " to follow and let me tell you.i hope you have deep pockets.i confirmed the 2nd and final half of procedure, but they wanted payment in full 2 weeks prior to the appt.i confirmed i was coming, and told them i will have payment in hand.not good enough, now stuck with hole drilled in my tooth for the last month and denied any treatment.after i spoke with them yesterday (via text?) lol and said i would be there with payment.i have found a more FAMILY orientated team and will be recommending to all 800 employees to switch dentists. Hilltop treats you like another number. NEXT.
