Great little motel. I love the front door entrance as opposed to walking a flight of stairs

First time at this place as there were no other rooms available.

A little bit disappointing as the room was hot when we entered. AC wasn’t turned on already.
Did find some insects and mosquitoes roaming around and supplies weren’t provided.

Customer service can be worked upon however its a convenient location so that balances it. If breakfast can be included, it would have been awesome.

Yes and No for recommending this place, if you don’t have any, you can go for it, kind of livable place with grocery store right besides it and direct connectivity to 401.

I had a very nice stay here. The gentleman on reception was very helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and cold thanks to air conditioning. I've stayed at motels without it. It had a fridge, microwave and TV. Parking spots outside the room. Loved the fleece blanket on the bed. Certainly would stay here again if I was in the area.

After being stuck in blocked traffic on the 401 until late in the evening, we were very happy to find the Hilltop Motel. The owner was friendly and helpful and he offered us his last two rooms which were singles. While the rooms were generally clean, In one room, the cold water tap in the bathtub didn't work, so in order to take a bath, I had to use the second room. The water pressure in both bathrooms was negligible and the lamp had no light bulb. The mattress was lumpy and sagged in the middle. This motel is in serious need of updating. And, we got all this for a total of $326.70 for the two rooms or $163.35 per room (including tax). Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Good, friendly service (we warned the hotel we'd be arriving late and they waited for us). Rooms are dated, but clean. Bed is comfortable. Bring a basketball if you wanna throw some hoops!

Room very clean, wifi, fridge, comfortable bed. Did not like that when we were out staff came in without letting us know and took our empties (beer cans), no big deal just did not like them in room we rented with our stuff in there

Needed to cancel, never went. But the guy was very helpful as I was clueless about booking.com way of cancelling. For me it shows good service, not just to get a new client

Very very clean room upgraded to double bedroom at no cost. No carpets, hardwood floor very lovely upto dateSmelled super nice, the bed was heavenly soft and warm blankets with fresh clean sheets. Very friendly staff, cameras around the place so I felt safe helped when I had car trouble. Again thank you so much!

Ce motel se situe à la sortie de Kingston, près du Tim Hortons.
Il est facile à trouver et une place de parking est dédiée à chaque chambre. L'accueil est super chaleureux et le personnel très agréable. Le motel est comme dans les séries US. Il a été rénové et c'est plutôt propre. Par contre on a eu des cafards dans la chambre. L'environnement est très bruyant, même avec des bouchons d'oreilles. Le lit est petit et très souple. Quand un des deux bouge, l'autre bouge fort.
Tim Hortons juste à côté permet de prendre le breakfast pour moins de 10 $ can ce qui est très correct.
Ce fut une expérience!

It was clean, the staff were pleasant and the a.c worked wonders. The room felt home like and welcoming.

Stayed here for one night for a break. Found the room really clean. Jim even brought us extra towels late in the night when he noticed we had children. Very close to Tim Hortons. Gives a Schitts Creek vibe.

Really friendly service and much nicer room than I was expecting to be honest. It was a little pricey for what it was though.

Clean rooms and kind staff, but our bed didn't have a fitted sheet. Instead, they tucked a queen sheet around the sides of the mattress.

We spent 2 nights at the Hilltop and were impressed. It is an older motel but not run down and the room, bathroom had everything we needed. TV, microwave & fridge. Everything looked clean and well kept. It was one of the quietest motels we ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and after we left they found my husband's hearing aid and called my sister, as we had left on the next leg of our trip, and her hubby picked it up and mailed it out to us. Thank you Hilltop.

For a motel, the rooms are well kept and well appointed, and kept very clean. Reasonably priced and a great place to buy ice, at $2 a bag cash, $2.50 if you use plastic.

Our car broke down and we were stranded in Kingston on the way to Toronto and no other motels even picked up our call in the middle of the night except Hilltop Motel. We didn’t know what to expect when we checked in that night, but it was such a pleasant surprise! The staff is extremely kind and generous and we felt very welcome and safe in that motel. Have to give a 5 star review for incredible hospitality!

Supper hot yes i get that it winter but its not a sauna

THE hot water took far too long to reach the shower i must have waiting 15 min if running water before it even turned Luke warm

And last but the boy the least bed bugs i almost lost it when I saw this thing ugh so gross ibhad to lookk it up cuz i was not sure but yup its a bed bug

Rooms are warm and clean and take their covid policies serious which is nice to see.

Convenient and clean motel. Reasonable prices. Was not disappointed with my stay here. Friendly staff are willing to help with any issues you might have. All rooms are smoke free as expected. Tim Hortons and convenience stores close. Among others. Not 5 star only because of being off a busy road and not very scenic area. Would stay again though. Nothing bad about the place.

The rooms were tidy ofcourse but the bed and the blankets were too old to be used. Honestly for the price we are paying we can definitely find a good place than that and even better for more 20 to 30$. I spent $76 for one night on weekday and I regret my stay.

Staff are very good, no major complaints. Not a bad place to stay if you don't find a decent hotel to stay in your budget.

The rooms were okay not bad for the price but the service was ridiculous. Customer service was good when we came and book the room then it went down from there. We were advised that we were being watched on cameras at all times So n smoking which was okay as we don’t smoke and the front Desk MEN never stop harassing us. There was 3 ladies staying here and they creeped us out to the point we left. They walked by our room ever 30 min all night we go out side to the car they would walk over ask us what we were doing. They even ask if we were going to have any guys over. If your a lady or ladies DO NOT STAY THERE was a scary experience.

This is such a great little spot for a night away. Clean, comfortable with new floors and good sized bathrooms. Nothing fancy but great for the price!

Currently staying at the Hilltop in Kingston. Rooms are a little dated but spacious & spotless (Im a clean freak) & the staff and Owners are GOLDEN. Always working and always ready to help if needed. I was pleasantly surprised and not disappointed with my choice.

Currently staying here. Very nice manager who is always busy doing some sort of work to maintain the grounds. Its a tiny room however very clean! Im a neat freak so this means a lot to me. Nice new flooring with good wifi, Bell Fibe Tv and AC! We are in a room closer to the main road however we cant hear a thing besides neighbors when they enter and exit their room! Definitely recommend and would stay here again!

Perfect for us 'passer-thru's'. Basic motel, clean and free parking. Walking distance to a Timmies.

The people that run this motel are very friendly and helpful! The rooms are clean, and quiet place to be.

These guys are my neighbours. If thier rooms and service is anything like thier friendly helpful attitude, I'd stay with them. Clean area, constantly upgrading decorum and grounds.

Waived late check-out fee, which I appreciated. Beds lack fitted sheets. Room was clean with updated flooring. Decent bathroom. Comfortable and friendly service.

The room was alright, the shower was a little sketchy. For the price, it wouldn't be bad, except for the fact that it was the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on in recent memory, which unfortunately made it very difficult to have a good sleep, and I woke up with a sore neck and back.

Good: has TV and mini fridge. Bathroom was very clean and shower pressure was beyond my expectation. Good location. Nice employees.

Bad: worst bed I ever slept in. The mattress is old af and you can see a hole in it just by looking at it. Unsure of cleaness of the sheets, there was still hairs on them. Bed covers was outworn.

Older motel with great, super-friendly staff and clean rooms. Beds not made for more than 1 night stay, which is perfect when stopping off between Montreal and Toronto. Easy to get to from the 401.

The only good thing this place has going for it is the cheap rate. Staff are ignorant beyond belief, the manager will harrass you then pretend to call the police after you address him, he will enter your room without permission. Typical no tell motel with horrible management.
