It used to be amazing years ago before covid. But not portions are smaller, they charge extra for chicken in 'chicken fried rice" and charge extra for "beef vegetables" but their competitor hong Kong house doesn't. Hong Kong house same price, massive portions, chicken in the fried rice combos, beef in the vegetables of it AND they give an egg roll.
I tried to tell them that their competitor 3 blocks away has same combos but they give more for same or cheaper price. And all I got was "we have been around longer" I guess I will go their solely based on how long they have been open.
Sorry, with Inflation the way it is, I want to get my money's worth, and ho ho is not it, even my combos came with half the size of fried rice, no chicken in it and my vegetables were loaded with cabbage and chicken and extremely greasy, my pork lo-mein same thing, it was my favorite dish their, no Chinese restaurant in Canada can compare to Ho-Ho Chinese restaurant "Pork Lo-Mein". But this time I ate since they opened back up after covid and it was a bowl of grease, I felt so gross after eating it, but because I am a humble man, I did not say anything about it and still tipped my witress.
Oh and as for service I waited about 10 minutes just to get my water, when she dropped off my meal she did not bring me my chop sticks, so after waiting a while to ask her for my chop sticks, I had to get up and go and get her attentions and she was too busy talking to another waitress about their personal lives to notice a customer and had to get my own chop sticks. It's a Chinese restaurant it should almost be mandatory to ask "would you like chop sticks with your meal?
But again being the nice guy I am, I still tipped 15% or more.

Food was okay. Buffet was pricey. Only put out 2 orders per pan so they limit you. This was at dinner time on weekend.

The Ho Hos restaurant in Dryden is fabulous. The food is amazing and the service was really good. I think the best things about Ho Hos are the atmosphere and that they offer a tasty selection of alternative food options that are vegan and wheat free. Their regular menu never fails to impress. It's delicious all the time.

Food is passable for cheap Asian quisine. Service is absolutely terrible. I certainly won't be returning anytime soon. We placed an order for pickup and were informed that it would be a little over 2 hours before it would be ready. No problem, we weren't starving or anything, haha. When I turn up at the scheduled time, I'm told that they haven't even started my order because the kitchen is backed up. Again, I'm easy, no problem. The server tells me that they will call me when it's ready, but it shouldn't be much longer. We return home and wait. About an hour later, we get a phone call from a snotty employee asking if we're ever going to pick up our food. "It's been ready for awhile", she says. Well, needless to say, I nearly lost it. Last meal we will eat from Ho-Ho Chinese Restaurant.
