Hockey Sushi

I've gone here several times for the buffet at lunchtime and its been consistently good every time. The sushi is really good especially the salmon sushi. Also the fried pork and chicken is crispy and tasteful
The only thing I don't care for here is the chicken teriyaki, otherwise a great restaurant!

They had hambugers, cheesbuger, chickensbuger and a play place no sushi.it was like mcdonalds

Love love love eating here. I can fill up on wontons. The atmosphere is nice. Foods great. No complaints.
*Update May2023. It's not affordable to eat here any longer. We were 45.00 a plate for the dinner buffet. Something was wrong with many of the rolls too as they smelt and tasted like burnt plastic. I used to live this place but I just can't afford to eat here.
On another note there were 9 of us. We were seated at a table set for 8.3 of us wanted the Bento and the waitress wanted them at a seperate table.

My favorite item is the baby mushroom beef rolls which they said we're cooking but then come and say they are out. I would recommend going to madoi sushi instead of you want just good sushi and not other menu items.

The friendly and fast service, as well as the fresh ingredients used in every dish we ordered tonight made up for the bland atmosphere of the restaurant. It is quite pricey but it is on par with every other sushi restaurant within 100 kilometres. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. I’ve read many bad reviews on here and honestly I don’t believe not one of them. We were served and attended to by 3 different servers, all of whom were friendly and welcoming. I love this place. The sushi was really good, with great portions and variety. The service was very prompt and the staff were very friendly. My only complaints are; the chairs were all ripped and tattered, and there was an old dirty fish tank right at the front door

I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm not one to leave bad reviews I worked in a restaurant for a long time and I know how much it hurts morale. We wanted to try a new sushi place as we normally go to Madoi sushi downtown, this place looked great online. We got there and proceeded to order rolls and cheese wontons, the food started out being okay quality. But, after the first round of food being dropped off the quality got worse and worse. I ordered Philadelphia rolls and salmon avacado rolls and it seemed as if the food was made days ago. Metro sushi is better in my opinion. This was the first and last time I'd come here, I will stick with my normal sushi place.

Have revisited and enjoyed. Prices have increased on all you can eat but food was great. Take out is a deal with half price rolls.

This was my first time here with my grandaughter who loves sushi. My first impression was that it was kind of sketchy. Certainly, the cooking area was LESS than impressive. The food was good, not outstanding, but the edamame looked positively old, wrinkly and disgusting. We chose " all you can eat " but, obviously, we didnt eat that much. A $75.00 bill seemed very high. Next time, if there is a next time, I would order a la carte for the amount that we ate.

Service and food quality were both excellent, food was quick to come, restaurant was very clean, server was attentive also

The plastic barriers they have up between some tables was a surprise, but given covid times, some would see it as necessary

Excellent healthier food and great service. We enjoyed a delicious Mother's Day dinner.

The food today was amazing sometimes it’s just ok but today when I went it was amazing! Everything came out hot and tasted fresh.

Firsr off, the servers were very friendly, so my issues arent with them, its with the food itself. Everything is reheated from frozen. I ordered most of the chicken dishes and they were all tasteless and dry due to being reheated, it was especially noticeable in the General Tao.

The desserts were a mixed bag, the deep fried milk was fried in the same oil as the meats which gave it the taste and consistency of old chicken. I actually thought they brought me a piece of deep fried chicken at first, and the gag I made after biting it was a sound i didnt know my body was capable of making. The chocolate mousse was actually pretty good, albeit obviously from a box. So was the green tea ice cream.

The sushi was the worst I've ever had in my life. I'm usually skeptical about central ontario seafood, especially at an all-you-can-eat place, but this was next level bad.

The tuna Maki was abhorrent and was hard to stomach, let alone swallow. But it was the deep fried scallop which did me in. The food poisoning I got from that scallop will haunt my memories till the day I die. Needless to say, since I value my life and my pallette, I won't be going back to hockey sushi. Try Tora or Tokyo instead, but not this place.

The price of this delightfully life threatening experience? $80 for two people. Run, and don't look back!

This is a tough one because this was my favourite sushi restaurant. I occasionally visit from 3 hours away and order specific rolls I know and have come to love. But $80 for two people before tip that’s quantity over quality is just too much. I’m torn to say that will be our last visit.

Still great sushi but so painfully slow and they miss items that you order all the time. They know they have a monopoly on all you can eat right now and they are taking advantage of that.
It would still be worth it if it wasn't so expensive.
Used to be a 5 star now it's 2
