Hockey Sushi

The staff make you feel as though you are a burden, not a welcomed guest. During the middle of the service the entire kitchen took a 20 minute break. Not worth the money.

We were here 4 years ago when visiting family and we absolutely loved the place. Came back to visit our family again from out of town and out of country and decided to take the family out to visit this place and celebrate our daughter's birthday. Called in advance to reserve the table and confirmed 3 times over the phone how many people we have in our party. When we arrived the waiter, recounted the number of people, and again, we confirmed the number and ages of people. Had pretty nice and friendly dinner, and everything was very coY and pleasant. Got our bill, and paid it with a gracious (US style tip). But, when we got ready to leave, the whole positive experience was flushed down the drain. As our family members were ready to walk out the door, one of the waitresses or managers ran towards the door, screaming to close the doors and not let anyone from our party leave, so that they could recount thr number of people. When I asked what's going on, it turned out that they missed charging for one person. I've never been treated this way in any establishment. They saw exactly who paid for the bill and could have calmly approached me or my husband to shown us the discrepancy, and we would have settled the difference without any issues, just like we ended up settling it. There is no reason to treat customers like criminals, especially when the mistake was on yours, not ours. Next time we visit Canada, we will look for a different place to dine where customers are appreciated, and not treated like this. Needless to say, everyone's mood and our daughter's birthday celebration was completely ruined by this treatment.

Quick service. Service is a bit unpleasant but the food is tasty and usually fresh. By far the best sushi spot in Kanata.

Probably the best sushi buffet post pandemic that we've found in Ottawa. The servers were very attentive and the kitty robot was a cute touch.

The food was delicious and served quickly. The staff attire was very unprofessional; I saw jogging pants and stained clothes. The service was not great, and the servers looked sad.
The robot server was really interesting to see!
I would still go back for the food.

We had a great lunch today. The menu is large enough to satisfy everyone. The food is delicious, better than other local sushi restaurants I've tried. The staff was polite and helpful. I will definitely be back.

Love the place. It wasn't crowded. They served the food very fast. Very good quality of sashimi and sushi. Also has a very cute robot serving sushi. Will definitely visit again.

Other than that, it was kind of like a fast food restaurant, I was not impressed by the service or the staff.
They do have a robot server, which was pretty cool.

Ordered take out while visiting. It was easily the worst spring rolls I had ever tasted. Very small, pinky finger sized, and the filling was bland white paste? Rolls were also very small. Very bland. I dont think I have ever reviewed a restaurant, good or bad, but this one was too disappointing to stay silent. The only downer of my mini staycation.
Interesting robot waiter for table service that I observed while waiting but maybe focus on food instead of gimmicks. One star is too many.

Hockey sushi is the best AYCE sushi buffet in town. I recommend everybody go here over and over and over.

Very good food. The sushi is good, not the best but excellent for AYCE and the other menu items, of which there are tons, are really good. Make sure you get the teriyaki salmon belly, it melts in your mouth! And the drink menu is extensive with iced teas that are not too sweet. Even the ice cream was good and it was nice to have fruit as an option for dessert.

Best option for AYCE sushi in the west end. We find that the fish to rice ratio is the best compared to competitors. Service is always quick.

The sushi was great and it was delivered by this neat robot that came to our table. Recommend if you’re looking for good sushi.

Had a nice office lunch buffet with colleagues. Great taste and good food. Loved the robot servers. I have never seen such anywhere before. There are real waiters too, to support if you are not comfortable with robots.

Awesome food. The quality was excellent. The service and waiters were second to none. They had a robot sever that was a bit of a nuisance, however, that pretty much everyone had to make way for. The severs were doing a magnificent job. There really was no viable reason to have that robot server there, to be honest

Good experience for AYCE sushi in the Ottawa area. A little far out on the West side of town, but plentiful parking however it is also a bit far from the freeway in a smal strip mall. Service was sufficient to get the job done, but nothing stellar. Atmosphere basic and generally clean and bright.

For an all you can eat, very very shocked at how good the quality of the food was, will be the new go to for AYCE sushi in Ottawa.
