My very first visit, My new Dentist is Dr. Yup and his assistant Faye. They both were very gentle with me as I have had a very traumatic experience when I was just a child. My concerns were put at ease with gentle, patience and understanding care. I know I will be at ease with future visits in the good hands of my new dental caregivers as I feel very confident in their considerate care and professionalism. The overall staff were very welcoming and so pleasant at my arrival. I am actually looking forward to my next appointment. I gave Hog’s Back Dental a 5 star and know I am in good hands with my new dental caregivers. Thank you Dr. Yup and Faye for your gentle care. I look forward to having you both working on my smile.

This practice is amazing with my children, always accommodating and informative. The whole staff is friendly and so helpful and welcoming. I really appreciate the quiet private environment as it reduces anxieties for my young family. Thank you all so much! Quality staff and great work.

I cannot recommend this place enough! FINALLY I found a dentist that doesn't try to take you for all you're worth. This is the 4th dentist that I've been to in Ottawa and Dr Levi is the only one I truly trust. My last dentist told me I had "pre cavities" and that my like 3 slightly crooked teeth would cause all these horrible problems and I would need all this expensive surgery to fix it. When I saw Dr. Levi he said my teeth looked great: a litte irritated gums but nothing more.

The hygienists and dental assistants are great too. Very friendly and professional.

My dental crown came off while eating a chewy food. I was given an appointment within less than 24 hours for assessment and, as it turned out, for resetting the crown back in place.

Under his calming influence, Dr. Levi immediately identified a workable solution after taking into account the various factors affecting the tooth. Within 15 minutes, the crown was glued back in place without issue and I was on my way.

I am grateful to have a caring and professional Dr. Levi attend to the dental health of me and my family.

I've always liked this place. They're efficient but without being rough. Which is great when someone has their hand (or dental tools) in your mouth.

Today we had a dental emergency for my mom. I contacted them with very short notice and we were able to get help even though they were busy and it's so close to the holiday break. Dr. Yip and the team at Hog's Back have always treated me so well! They looked at all aspects of my health to incorporate dental care effectively into my life. By checking on other areas of my health, we found patterns that impact my dental care.
As well, they always checked to make sure pain medication had kicked in before procedures. I wasn't uncomfortable once. They played relaxing music during procedures and I almost fell asleep lol.
When I was anxious about my fillings a couple weeks later, Dr. Yip checked them to make sure all was well, free of charge.
Also, they have a great system set up for COVID safety. I definitely never stress about going to the dentist if I'm going here:)

Today, I had a dental emergency so I contacted Ottawa's Dental Emergency Line and the on-call doctor today was Dr. Yip at the Hog's Back Dental Centre. I had one of the BEST dental experiences I have ever had! The staff at the front desk is absolutely lovely. They are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I was having a terrible day with the dental emergency and their helpfulness and friendliness changed my mood around right from when I called them to book the appointment all the way to when I finished paying and left after my treatment. Not just that, Dr. Yip and his assistant are wonderful too. They made me and my friend who accompanied me there feel so comfortable and were extremely kind. Dr. Yip was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me patiently and calmly. Later he also fixed my problem I would 100000000% recommend Hog's Back.

While I am not a big fan of going to the Dentist, these guys are awesome. Always take such good care of me.

I have always found the staff and environment at Hog's Back Dental Centre to be first class. Dr. Levi is caring and gentle, in a very professional way that instills confidence. He does only what's necessary to keep the patient healthy. The hygienist staff are also very good, answer questions thoroughly and obviously put the patient's needs first.

I gave this place a shot based on their great reviews (and its literally right across the street from me) and they didn't disappoint! The doctor was incredibly kind and professional both times, and was gentle when he saw the numbing needle gave me a panic attack. He checked in repeatedly during the procedure to make sure I was calm and comfortable, reminding me to breath slowly through my nose. The office, located on the second floor, is bright, cheery and clean. I'll definitely be continuing my dentistry needs with Hogs Back Dental, even when the time comes that we move out of this neighborhood.

I can’t say enough good things! Sherilyn is so knowledgeable and nice. You can tell how much she cares about her job and you as a patient, I’m so grateful to of been set up with her. Dr. Levi is also great, very thorough, friendly and makes the experience stress free. Lastly, the front reception staff is awesome. I have to apologize for not knowing the names, I believe it was Sarah who helped me. She was so nice and was a huge help in getting me get all set up with insurance etc. I’m so lucky to have such an excellent place to get my dental care. The office is so efficiently run and everyone is so pleasant and professional. Definitely recommend highly to anybody when the subject comes up!

Be careful!
We have healty smile program by Ontario government. I thought it was free for my kids. We started. We weren't informed precisely. After our third appointment they asked extra money for cleaning. And I paid around 70$. I asked whether all I was expected to pay was 70$.   The receptionist said yes. Then I paid it. But 2 weeks later they asked around 30$ more. I explained the conversation I had with her before and she said ok " No need to pay. ". 2 weeks later another receptionist called me again and I said I was not satisfied with their process. She said that she was sorry. I felt deceived. Please be careful and do not have experience what I had.

I have had extreme anxiety when it came to going to the dentist. The people in this office, dentist included, have totally changed my mind with their professionalism and caring.

These folks are the best and I would recommend them to anyone!
