Holiday Inn Express Niagara-on-the-Lake

Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to the hotel until about 2am. We had been travelling for 22hrs and basically past the point of exhaustion and hunger (everything was closed) when we arrived at the check in counter! We were greeted by Benjamin with a huge smile. He went beyond expectation, was soo friendly and really cared. He went to their kitchen and grabbed us some muffins, bananas and cereal with milk (comfort food and I didn’t think Raisin Bran cereal could be that good) to soothe our stomach so we can crash on the bed and sleep. The room was really clean, modern, bright and spacious. Thank you for the hospitality and we will definitely be back.

A small group of employees keeps this place going. They do everything they can, bending over backwards, and pick up the slack created by the others just to attempt to keep out of trouble with failure every time. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't.

And people say you can't be racist against whites.

Have stayed here a couple of times. Once for just over a week when we moved to Niagara and again when we were heading out to move back west! Would definitely recommend!

Although my visit was not for a pleasant reason, the hotel was excellent. Comfortable rooms. Good pool and fitness facilities.

Chose this location to be away from the crazies while visiting Canada and Niagara Falls. The service we received from Amanda was awesome! She gave us tips for old town Niagara on the lake, parking at the falls, and a great tavern for dinner. Awesome service by the nicest girl. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delightful. Well done!

Very friendly staff, clean lobby and room. We arrived early, and while our room wasn't available for early check-in the staff let us use all the amenities as well as leave our car in the parking lot while we hit up some vineyards.

Would 100% stay here again!

We stayed for two nights this week and the staff was courteous and very helpful. The breakfast was included and the variety was overwhelming, delicious and very organized. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back 'God Willing'. Thanks for making our stay amazing.

I just sayed at the holiday inn with my dog, i took my dog out for a walk at night and a animal that first appeared to be a cayotee started walking twoards us we had to run to the back door of the hotel i told front desk about this he said its a local dog that roams around the building this is not right for the saftey of people and thier dogs i dont know if this animal is friendly! Ive stayed here many times but this is my last.

Very nice and new building, pet friendly we brought our dog and they took a picture of him and were very welcoming ️ staff and front desk were more than helpful and extra friendly. We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time.

A modern, clean hotel in Niagara. It looked new to me. I always mark first on how clean a place is before i get to pricing. I took off one star as I felt that $329 for one night + tax which brought it up to around $370 was a little much. There's no way someone staying there for 5 days could swing that kind of money. It might be high because its July or because its niagara on the lake. I think if they priced the rooms at $229 or less that would be more affordable and they would probably fill the place out. It's a little out of the way so that works against it. Overall though, staff friendly. The remote didn't work when we got there but staff was on hand to change batteries. (no biggy). The place is immaculate. Breakfast in the morning is hot, however, we didn't have it as the egg looked gross with fake cheese in it, and the bacon greasy. Beans. No thanks. We stuck to a cold breakfast of yoghurt, banana and fresh orange juice. My wife said the coffee tasted okay. I got mine from Starbucks later. I would recommend this hotel.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! It is modern, clean, spacious and comfortable and includes a fabulous hot breakfast buffet. The staff from the managers to the housekeepers are friendly and accommodating ensuring a happy and pleasant stay.
I especially want to thank Bennett, Robin and Page for going above and beyond in meeting our every need, including making sure our little dog, Scruffy was comfortable and looked after.

The customer service here is exceptional. We were caught in a storm and the hotel let us rebook not once but twice without taking a huge fee. I was so impressed. All staff are friendly and care about the customer. Paige so so sweet and so is Desiree. The hotel itself is clean and modern. I liked the beds, pillows, curtains that block the sun and shampoo/conditioner. Breakfast is also good with some nice cinnabuns, bread, bagels and more. I also noticed that it is dog friendly and I love that:)

The staff at this hotel were all wonderful. We also brought our Labrador with us, it is a pet friendly hotel, and all the staff seemed to be pet lovers! The rooms were very comfortable and so were the beds. There's a great spot in the back of the hotel by the pool with an enclosed terrace where we enjoyed breakfast every morning. There are a few grills there for guests to use as well as patio furniture, very comfortable. We will stay here again without question.

First Hotel in a long time that I am able to give a 5 star review! I travel to this hotel for business when in the area, like the room, like the atmosphere, breakfast is great, overall I am very happy with this location. My last stay I had a problem with my room which I made management aware when I was heading home. I was amazed that the manager actually looked into the problem for me and made multiple attempts via email and cell to resolve the issue. First I found out it was my fault and everything was ok just my inability to push a button:) Had some good humor with the manager about this. But this is the first time anyone from ANY hotel ever got back to me to resolve an issue. I am very impressed with the staff at this Location.

Now when I got home I realized that I left my necklace in the room and for sure I thought it would be gone forever! I called the Manager back embarrassed now that I am informing him I left my necklace in my room.and to my amazement the staff turned it in and he is in possession of my necklace I cant believe this in this days I would never expect such honesty. So you can get nice hotels nowadays but money cannot buy great Management/employees and most of all honesty. 10 out of 5 stars!

Nice and roomy. The bed was very comfortable. The room and overall building was very clean and nicely maintained.

The exit from the QEW North is really sharp. I missed it the first time and came back on the QEW South. The roads are currently under construction approaching the hotel. maps gets very confused in regards directions.

There's a pool in the hotel that the staff highly recommend.

Desirae greeted us at check. She was very welcoming, courteous, and kind. Our dog was also welcomed and given a treat. Our room was very clean, and quiet. Great breakfast. My wife was able to get gf bread toasted in a dedicated toaster. John C. (General Manger), and the evening manager (sorry I forgot the name) were out and about chatting with guests, making sure that all was ok. All in all a great experience. We will be back.

We had a great stay, the staff were extremely friendly, the facilities were extremely clean and the breakfast was great!

Very clean hotel 2 mins from outlet mall.
From desk man (sorry I can't remember his name) was great. Check in was quick, he was well informed and even took care of an issue we had with our towels (not enough).
Never understand why 4 people check in, you only get 3 towels.
Never the less, great place and would highly recommend it.

I highly recommend staying here, the facility is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. The free breakfast was great and there is plenty of varieties & space to eat. Extremely convenient for tourists because it’s very close to the Falls, Outlet Collection at Niagara. This will definitely be my place to stay the next time I visit the area.

Pros: front desk was very friendly and accommodating, towels in the pool always being refilled, food is great, food attendant very very hard working, food was refilled in a timely manner
Cons: housekeeping, wife in the middle of taking a shower only to find out shampoo was empty. Took 30 mins to get refilled, was told they will refill it right away, ended up whole family using baby shampoo. Had to shower right away since it was sleep time for toddler. Housekeeping again, bathroom was definitely not cleaned well, came in and saw a big hair tie in the corner of the bathroom very obvious.

Really happy with our stay, however I feel very taken advantage of with the price we paid now that I see all the deals online. Shop around, I booked direct and paid a crazy amount.
Disappointed.

Great hotel just by outlet mall! And tasty breakfast! The staybridge on the other side has real plates vs single use plates so i like it a bit more, overall satisfied

My wife and I both found the staff at this hotel was amazing. We had to make a reservation on short notice, so we didn’t know where to go for dinner and they provided us with some options that turned out to be really good. The woman on the counter was super friendly, and it seemed genuine as well.

The room was spacious and decorations were new. We were on the top floor so it was really quiet all through the night.

Only quibble would be that the coffee at the breakfast bar left something to be desired.

We’d definitely go back to stay there again.

The a/c unit kept blowing air onto our face while we sleep. There is no way to turn off the unit during the night. Everyone of us were awake all night due to the a/c air circulation. Our kid had a piano Provincial Final competition next morning and he was up all night with the ac problem.

The shower stall glass door could not keep it door closing and sliding open when you take a shower. We need to keep our arm holding the door during the shower. Whoever did this bathroom reno job were not checking the level when done. We were at unit#614 top floor on June 11. Try to avoid this room if you stay there.

I love staying at the Vintages hotel in NOTL. Due to a last min trip to NOTL, they were sold out and i ended up booking this hotel. Its a few mins away from the historical downtown but a few mins away from vineyards. I didnt feel like i was missing out. This hotel checked every box. The hotel staff are amazing and chevyon who checked us in was the sweetest. They seem to embody customer service and they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Its such a clean hotel.i cant find one thing to fault it. I would stay here again in heartbeat.

Same level of quality and service as all of the other Holiday Inn Express locations. Only difference is that this hotel didn't have a hot tub in the pool area.

This is the first time I've completed a review of a Canadian hotel, but based on the experience we had this weekend it's the least I could do. The hotel is excellent, rooms are on point and very clean. BUT it was Kevin and his colleagues that made our stay 6 out of 5 stars. Thanks for hosting.

My girlfriend and I decided to take an overnight getaway at this hotel, we live very close by but after watching the hotel being built, we wanted to stay and experience the new hotel feel much like the new car feel. Lol. Anyways. I can’t say highly enough how professional and welcoming the entire staff have been from the front desk reception to the kitchen staff, their certainly ones to be modelled by. We only stayed one night and that one night was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had.

The free continental breakfast in the morning was nothing shy of amazing. Fresh DIY waffles, fresh fruit and delicious eggs with multiple varieties of different meats to suit any taste. The coffee was hot and plentiful and other pastries were fresh and delicious.

The room itself was extremely clean, the kitchen in the room comes fully equipped everything you could possibly need for an extended stay including dishwasher, 2 burner stovetop, large fridge, coffee maker and so much more. The washroom came fully equipped with extra towels, complimentary soaps, shampoo and conditioner and NO I don’t mean those tiny little bottles that other hotels offer. The king size bed was so comfy that I wish I could of just sneaked the bed out of the hotel and taken it home myself but leaving it at the hotel gives me all that much more reason to return to the hotel again and that I can certainly assure you that I definitely will.

It has been an absolute pleasure staying at this hotel and I’d love nothing more then to thank all of the staff for the wonderful stay and hospitality for the Easter long weekend. So thank you.

My Sons hockey teams stayed at the hotel on Friday and Saturday night while at a tournament in the area. The entire experience couldn't have been better. They allowed the boys to play mini stick road hockey in the backparking lot. Amazing. The breakfast was excellent. The staff at breakfast area went to great lengths to make sure everyone was happy and that the food and coffee was fresh. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We have zero complaints. I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone.

The hotel is in convenient location, right off from QEW and about 10 mins from Niagara Falls. Facilities were in good condition, and furnitures, lights and washroom were well equipped. Breakfast menu was also good, and diner staff were quick-handed, kind, and helpful. Manager-on-duty was kind and responded quickly when I raised a noise issue. Swimming pool is not that big, but good for kids to play for a while.

Very nice facility, very clean rooms, friendly staff, nice breakfast included. I travel to the area often and this is where I will stay moving forward.

Super clean! All around a great room with quality internet, a good breakfast and a cool relaxing pool aswell as a phenomenal gym. If only there were more great hotels like this one everywhere.

Very nice and clean. Manager was very helpful in many ways. We tried to book a group booking for a discount and they denied us, but when we requested a late check out, they said no because we were a group booking. Then we requested the group discount and they said no. Makes it difficult to book here again.
