Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingston Central, an IHG Hotel

I have stayed here previously without any issues however my most recent experience was terrible. I had a guaranteed reservation that was cancelled the evening of my arrival so that the room could be used to fill a group booking instead. In addition, I contacted the hotel at 4pm on the day of arrival to confirm my reservation and let them know I would be arriving by 9pm. The front desk staff confirmed my reservation and made note of my arrival time. Upon arrival the staff claimed they were unable to authorize my credit card while I was in transit but the credit card company has no record of a transaction request and the same card was used to pay for a room at another hotel 10 min after learning my reservation was cancelled. Not a reputable business, avoid if you want save yourself a headache.

Staff are really friendly and so helpful! Enjoyed our stay, the hotel is really clean, modern decor, still smells new, and it’s so quiet which is surprising being so close to the 401. The only things I would mention is the surprise parking isn’t included in the rate, and the cable isn’t HD so it’s not that great but otherwise the place is great!

Great stay. Staff were excellent, room was clean and updated. Staff were very compassionate and understanding of family being at KGH.

Busy hotel for the trade people the hotel was busy. Clean, shinny and orderly. Room was good, beds very comfortable. There was this miniscule hand soap for the sink. It was good to wash your hands with, plenty of towels.
Lets talk about breakfast. Not a fan of make your own, loads of cheap foods, at lesst they hot awsy of the mesd, too bad no bacon instead they had small bite size hot dogs. Pitiful eggs, I call it cardboard eggs. The coffee tasted bitter and strong. There wasn't enough creamers that could revive the coffee. The breakfast room was very clean with an attend.
Cheap minimum of a very sad breakfast. I wasn't fast enough to get a boiled egg in the refrigerator. They had a nice area, but very cold room.

Roo. Are good however not worth what we paid. May be due to extremely high season.

No hot vegetarian option for breakfast which I think management definately should consider,
If given choice would stay another place for sure which provide value for money

Parking wasn't included.wasn't expressed with that at all. All the other hotels don't charge for parking. Breakfast was excellent though.helpful staff, very clean rooms.

Mise à part le déjeuné qui ferme à 9h30.et la madame très bête qui se fait un plaisir de le dire. La chambre était super. Le lit confortable, c'était spacieux et propre! La douche était vraiment grande. Pas de problème avec les chiens de service. La piscine et le petit spa très agréable pour une chambre à 155$.
Le service client a été poli et souriant.

The rooms where very cold, the heating was a no go, continuously pumped cold air. It does seem like they are renovating. As both my 2 mornings I literally woke to a painter at my window. The bathrooms have no self dedicated fan, so if your not staying alone, both should prepare for that. For some reason, definitely not for convenience all rear and side entrances where disabled. So if your a smoker trying to lite up quick and return back to your room. Prepare to walk around the whole establishment. Would continue but no need, definitely a express experience but fell it should of been better.

I had to book a room last minute a few hours before checking-in on labour day weekend. I was so happy to have Sarven make my reservation as he was so kind and honored my gold ihg membership status and offered me a great rate and an upgrade as well! It took all my stress away and I enjoyed my stay very much!

Best place to stay. I had a very bad impression and experience staying in the holiday Inn at te USA twice. But this kingston holiday Inn gave me perfect and very positive impression. Customer service personnels are very friendly. Breakfast was very testy.staying in this hotel is like your own home

Worst experience ever.
I booked a room for my guest, they took my card information on booking, and they told me payments is going to made on check-in, and they charged my guest credit card, without informing me. I gave them authority to charge from my card. This is ridiculous, this is the worst experience I ever had till date, we will never gonna come back to IHG.
Be aware because they going to charge your guest. Staff doesn't know how to work.

We got here at 2am after desperately looking for a hotel, when the receptionist noticed how late we were with the kids super tired he gave un 2 extra hours for the checkout (from 11am to 1pm) the rooms are very good, the breakfast is amazing, it has a lot of options and when something ran out it was quickly replaced, there were 2 Asian women with long dark brown hair and a bit short, both were extremely nice and good to the guests, the service here is amazing, too good for the price 10/10

We had to make an unplanned stop at Kingston due to a medical emergency and happened to book the room here since my kid had to stay overnight. It was a great decision.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and very helpful (we stayed an extra night and although we couldn't keep the same room they found a room nearby to make the transition easier).

They offered complimentary breakfast. The folks kept their head cool and well stocked refund guests devoured the provisions. It was so busy yet they still kept a friendly smile.

If you're staying in Kingston, highly recommend!

The hotel was great, they were doing renovations at the hotel but that did not ruin the stay. The breakfast was also great!

Front desk was VERY helpful in many ways. They also upgraded my room which was really nice. Good conversations with front desk made for a nice stay while away at work. Room was probably the best hotel room I have stayed at and the bed was Perfectly comfy, not super soft, good stiff to soft ratio which is great for my back. Love it.

Loved our stay. Were there for 2 nights.
Service on point, cleanliness on point.
Breakfast was too good & especially the pancake machine. The staff was super nice.
Overall enjoyed our stay at Holiday inn, kids had the beat time.
Will definitely be back again.

Nice hotel. Friendly reception staff. Good sized room for three adults. Restaurant staff appeared stressed and rude, it felt like the guests were being blamed for the inadequately small and poorly designed facilities.

Nice hotel! They upgraded our room when they found out we were traveling to our honeymoon destination.

Staff tell u something and while check in, things changed.we booked a room for our guests qnd gave them my credit card info while booking and things were made clear that my guests would be staying g there not me.still they ask my guests to pay.very embarrassing and Not Gonna come back here anymore. Not advisable at all

We stayed here for 1 night as we were in the area for our anniversary celebration. The room was clean and nice overall however the faucets in the sink and shower seemed like they were ready to fall off but we managed okay. Mattresses were a little on the harder side but the pillows were nice and soft/fluffy. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, one of the best we've had! The pancake machine was a hit with the kids! Same with the pool. I even made a request for something special to decorate the room for my wife as a surprise since it was our anniversary and the staff went above and beyond setting it up! They definitely made our stay a pleasant and one that we'll never forget!

I stayed at the hotel with a friend and we checked in on June 3 and checked out on June 4. As I use a wheelchair, I asked for an accessible room with grab bars beside the toilet and a raised toilet seat. While the room itself was very spacious, we were disappointed to find that there was no raised toilet seat in the bathroom and we called the front desk to ask for one to be brought to our room. It never was provided to us. We were even more disappointed to see that the beds in the room were way too high. My manual wheelchair is pretty standard and the mattress was as high as my armrests. My friend put a cushion on the floor for me to stand on as she helped me get into bed. An accessible bed should be low so a person in a wheelchair can get into it easily without a struggle. We should not have to risk our safety. We noticed that the electrical outlet near the dresser was not working so my friend couldn't charge her phone there.
