We had a coachroach in our room. We were given a 30$ refund which I still have yet to see on my debit. The pool also had many hairballs floating around it. Won't be returning.

We were here for Canadian cross country championships.

Clean and bright. Appears updated except for the crack in the ceiling and some pain patches. No hair dryer, so I hope they have one downstairs. Pool is too cool for me unless I workout. Gym is small but appears clean and empty. I’d stay again.
Update: the blow dryer was on the back of the bathroom door. Breakfasts were ok. Loved the pancake maker.

The most amazing experience for me and my entire family affordable and clean. Very helpful and professional staff. Great location. Comfortable beds with clean bedsheets couldn't ask for more. Delicious breakfast. Fun pool time. Highly recommend this hotel

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a night. Really big clean room with tall ceilings, walk in shower.

We stayed here 3 nights as we were traveling for business.
First night we arrived at 3: 45 am. The gentleman at the counter was very nice but was unable to get the card reader to work (I believe he was fairly new- which is ok!) so he put us in a room right beside the desk so he could open the door for us (this was very noisy in the morning as it was right beside housekeeping and the house keeping staff was laughing and chatting- I was also ok with this, when traveling you expect some noise but I believe those rooms aren’t used regularly so they didn’t expect people in the room). We placed the do not disturb card on the door; even though the DND was on the door the housekeeping staff tried to enter our room at 9: 30am and woke us up.
I went to the desk to ask about an airport shuttle ant 9: 45 and was told it can come whenever I need as it’s an on call service for them. I asked for the shuttle for 12 o’clock so I could go to the airport and get our rental car. I was waiting in the lobby as 11: 50 and waited until 12: 10 when I asked at the desk if I should be in a certain place for the shuttle and she told me she forgot to call it and would do so right away. Shuttle came at 12: 25.
We checked in again later that week and had no issues but I realized after we checked out that I forgot my headphones in the room. I went back right away to ask to be let in to get them and was told that I could not get in the room because she couldn’t get the key card machine to work and I’d have to wait for housekeeping to come in. I explained I was leaving on a flight before that time.
I called the hotel upon my arrival home to let them know I had left them (and could see them on my app as still there) they took my info including credit card and told me they would ship them at my expense tomorrow.
8 days later and after checking several times that week (and seeing them out of the case and being used twice during that time) I called the hotel back and asked again for them to be shipped. I explained someone had used them and he told me this was not the case (even though it said so on my app) he again asked for my credit card info- I explained it was already given and was told it was lost and I’d need to give again (concerning)
He told me they would be shipped that day and he would call back to let me know charges. 2 days later my partner called back again and they were finally shipped that day as they had not done so yet and they had not called back to follow up as promised
Although the hotel is very nice they appear to be going through a staff transition with new people not fully trained. Having people not able to create a key, and having housekeeping not respect do not disturb signs is a little frustrating.
When my partner called back the last time he asked to speak to the manager, they gave him an email address. We never received a response to our email from the manager- they had another staff member call back to confirm shipping of the air pods. No apology, no ownership. When asking again to speak to the manager we were told they were busy. It was a little frustrating.

Great location, close to airport. As pricey as anywhere else. King suite was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Front desk staff was welcoming, but couldn't locate member info. Breakfast, which is usually very good, was disappointing, no pastries, no fruit, no yogurt, no potatoes in any form.

Holiday Inn Express at Ottawa Airport
This place was a nice stopover and quiets stay. It’s roughly $8 cab ride from the airport. Check in was pretty smooth which was nice. They offer a breakfast buffet in the morning and it was adequately stocked and the seating area was clean. The business centre was pretty standard and gym and pool were average. It is missing the hot tub so if you’re booking hoping to get into one they don’t have one.
Now the negative stuff: again no hot tub, the snacks in the lobby weren’t stocked and left no options for snacks, the sliding room lock I had was damaged, the blackout blinds in my room didn’t black anything out l, the street noise was more prevalent than the airport noises, the handicapped parking area and walkways were covered with ice and weren’t cleared or appeared to have any attempts to put down de-over. Oh and for the safety conscious; both elevators had obvious wear and tear and also both elevators were displaying expired maintenance Provincial certificates that were more that 3 months expired.

Staff was super friendly and helpful and always smiling and sometimes signing hotel super clean.and rooms are amazingly spacious! Absolutely recommend

Bad service, I tried to call the manager to complain about a past stay and they ghosted me. I will not stay there again.

Rooms are spacious, very clean!

Decently clean. Layout of the building seems fine, however entrance can get quite congested.
The walls are easily over 12ft tall. Creates an echo in the rooms. I have a high ceiling in my home and this is even more than that, a little excessive haha. Nice place though all in all. Typical IHG hotel. I'd recommend it!

Chambres propres.
Fort bruit de ventilateur dans la chambre provenant de la salle de la machine à glaçons.
Prix facturé lors de l'achat en ligne différent de celui prélevé sur la carte de crédit d'une trentaine de dollars.
Pas de personnel à la réception lors du départ. Nous avons dû laisser les clés dans une boîte comme une bonne dizaine d'autres clients, donc pas capable d'avoir la facture et de valider les prix chargés. Décevant.

Piscine désertique car eau froide, au déjeuner le matin certains aliments étaient froids notamment les beans. Dans la chambre impossible de prendre un bain bouchon brisé! Propreté a1

Hairs in the bathroom and if you have food allergies you can eat a peanut butter sandwich. They make eggs with ham or eggs with cheese, no plain eggs. Staff is very friendly though.

Unfortunately i am havingto give the review due to the lack of professionalism.

I've stayed at numerous Holiday Inn Express's over the years. This one was perfectly located, rooms/hotel has been updated, but, the walls are still a little thin. You hear all the doors slam shut, people talking in the rooms next to you and the staff in the hall. I didn't notice too much as I am a deep sleeper, but the better half did.
Hotel has a nice pool for the kids (okay and adults) to enjoy. Also had a nice little gym to burn off those calories from eating out.
The disappointing part was the breakfast. No holiday inn express has a Michelin star restaurant in them, but this one was well below the mark. Dry cinnamon buns (cutting them into 4 to save $$ does not help), rock hard scrambled eggs, & lackluster potatoes. The pancakes however were good, so was the toast/beagles, hot coffee/tea, juice and cereals. Again, I am basing this on the numerous other HI Express hotels I have stayed in.
