Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ottawa East - Orleans, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is amazing, so clean, and the staff is super pleasant, the breakfast is super delicious, what makes your breakfast happy experience is Nichole she is a very pleasant lady and she helps everyone get what they want regardless if it is busy or not and she keeps giving you the positive energy the whole time. Thank you holiday inn for the great experience and for the great amazing staff.

This was our second stay at this hotel due to proximity to family. It's a nice and friendly place and a lot busier than last time we were there as it was still under covid restrictions. The room was pretty clean and the staff was very friendly. They let us use the dining area for dinner as long as we kept it clean, which made things a lot easier for us since we were traveling with two little kids.

A decent location for a stay in Ottawa. Our room smelled like dirty mop or wet dog. That made it suffocating to stay inside as there is no ventilation except the ac. Rooms are smaller than the average hotel. Breakfast was average.

Clean, well-equipped room with comfortable bed.
Washroom is full with Dove bathroom care products in large bottles which help save costs and environmentally friendly because of its reduction in disposing too many small bottles of toothpaste, hand wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shave cream.
Friendly front desk and breakfast servers.
It’s a little bit tricky for new guests to find the hotel location but the parking space behind the hotel is huge.

Great hotel, clean friendly staff and located in an area where there is restaurants and shopping from hotel in walking distance. Parking lot is odd as you need to park in the back.

Our car got stolen from their parking lot! It was a busy night and it still got stolen! They have no cameras and take no responsibility

À côté de la Place d'orléans. Très pratique pour reprendre la route. Calme et bien insonorisé. Les chambres sont comfortables et spacieuses. Le déjeuner est très bien. Le personnel est sympathique.

Love love love this hotel- can’t say enough good things about it. Dog friendly, extremely clean and staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, and there were options for purchase if you wanted snacks or something else. Plenty of walking space around the property for the dog- including trails. Great visitors and pubs nearby. Conveniently located - easy to get on the highway.

Loved my short stay here - will definitely return.

I would have left a better review if only somebody would have reached back to me after I had informed front desk about my stay. I booked 3 rooms and paid over $1500 for two days and i was caught up by bed bugs. I had several bed bug bites on my body, i stayed in 318, Front desk did nothing except that they will inform management- still waiting for them to get back to me. I hope at least they would have checked the room for safety of others.

The room is good enough, but they can not provide hot water or kettle. Because my wife needs warm water for medicines.

Really good hotel. Clean and the staff is so kind and accommodating. Joana at the front desk is amazing.

Front desk staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Breakfast buffet staff were helpful and friendly. We would stay here again.

The AC unit was running too loud and even worse is next to our bed… hardly to sleep… otherwise, it’s fine to stay for short trip

Check in, check out was very quick as u wud expect from any good property.
Ample parking - can easily host over 40 cars.
Suite rooms have great space, 2 queen and 1 foldable bed, rooms were good, newer beds and pillows means no sagging and u get a much better sleep.

The lift and the walkway to your room always stands out for me, some of the old downtown properties always fall short on this, but IHG and the hotel staff has done a great job in keeping this clean.

Their hot pool is super amazing, ensure you take out time to enjoy it.

Felt refreshed after a long drive and a long day.

Little things that stand out -
1) Disinfectant tags
2) Updated weather forecast (we all have phones, but how u thought about posting it in the elevator was a great UX moment)
3) quick clean ups after the pool usage, most hotels take a long time
4) 24hr coffee in the breakfast area, most of the hotels close this section
5) for the little things that u might forget (razor, toothpick, toothpaste)
6) contactless juice dispenser

Cons -
Location - if you don't mind travelling 15-18 minutes outside downtown then book this property else stay up in downtown old properties.

Room was excellent and breakfast not as per standard. Too many people lined up for B. F.and service was too slow.

For me, what set this hotel apart is the provision of liquid handsoap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner & body wash (Dove) all in easy-to-use pump dispense bottles. Hotels usually have bar soap & lame little bottles of shampoo.

#2. The temperature of the water in the pool is warm.

#proper hair blow dryer; Conair brand - not the generic grey low powered blow dryer.

Not a full 5 star cuz the sofa upholstery in my room was ripped.

All in all, good service & I would def stay here again!

L’entrée était belle, personnel sympathique, mais les chambres étaient en mal condition, les lits était dur et mal à l’aise et j’ai eu mal au dos, aussi les murs était mince qu’on peut entendre le télé et un bébé qui pleur au chambre adjoint. Sur une note positif les enfants ont profité dans le piscine et le déjeuner était merveilleux, à cause de ceci il y’avait des facteurs positifs. On va penser de séjourner ailleurs la prochaine fois au Ottawa, merci.
