Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre, an IHG Hotel

If you want sleep, do not go there. When booked in they didn’t take my credit card details - their mistake. I was in the room asleep and jetlagged for about an hour, then I get a phone call from Jasleen, the so-called Manager demanding me to go downstairs straight away. I stated I was asleep and I’d come back down later and then she demanded again! I couldn’t sleep so went down, tried to pay twice and they didn’t take the money Tried to talk to Jasleen and she was just talking over me. I walked away about 1 o’clock in the morning. She called again and I ignored it. If you need sleep, don’t stay there arrogant teenagers as managers.

Stayed here for a week on a business trip. Room was small (mine had 2 beds which left a lot less space to maneuver about), there was no microwave in the room (may not be a big deal for others but was for me) and the thermostat could only be changed from COOL to HEAT (or vice versa) through the intervention of a technician (Really?).

On the positive side, the location cannot be beat (Loblaws is a stone's throw away and so is Bulk Barn and a new INS market right across), the staff were friendly, and my room was quiet.

Cockroaches! My daughter stayed here a week ago and there was a cockroach in her room on the ceiling. We sent and email to the hotel and they have not responded. Poor customer service! Do not stay at this hotel.

Great hotel on the edge of downtown Toronto. Discovering the city from here is easy: metro station within walking distance

In the center of the city. You can find a lot within walking distance. 30-35 minutes driving distance from the airport. The breakfast is very nice. The rooms are very clean. It's nice to have a coffee machine. It is very good that they use DOVE brand products, especially in the bathroom.

Excellent service, helpful and attentive staff, excellent breakfast, but the rooms were a little small, at least ours which was for 4 people. The double beds were not very big. I didn't try the pool, but it looked very nice from the outside. Location a little away from the centre, but with a short walk you can reach it comfortably and in any case the subway is not far away. Positive note: it's the first hotel in North America I've seen without carpet.

Great hotel in the heart of downtown spotlessly clean, staff are fantastic, always polite and helpful. Food for breakfast was brilliant a great way to start the day, and the staff were keen to please. Rooms are spacious and clean, housekeeping was very attentive. Has good WiFi we were on the 8th floor and had no problems at all. Nice pool and gym area, beauty boutique, shop for basics. Just a fabulous experience would highly recommend.

Everything was amazing! The staff is very nice and always greets you with a smile. The rooms are perfect, very clean and comfortable. I want to add that the shower is very nice! The only thing that bothered me a little bit and the reason why I didn't rate 5 stars is I find the breakfast to be a little bit pricey, but that it just my opinion! Overall amazing place that I absolutely recommend if you're staying in Toronto (very close to College and Wellesley subway stations)

I was a housekeeping manager for 15 years. I was happy with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel is a short distance to several places of interest including Eaton Centre and the ROM.

There is no air conditioning in the halls, lobby and elevator. It's muggy and hot. You cannot turn the a/c very low in the rooms either. This would be a deal breaker for my wife. The elevators stop at EVERY floor someone is waiting. If you are going up, it still stops at floors for people going down. The slow speed is comical. Take the stairs, even from the 20th floor just to stay sane.
The beds are really comfortable but the shower pan was squishy in an unsettling way like it wasn't installed correctly.
They don't serve coffee in the lobby, but there are many places to eat nearby.
I would stay in another place next time.

Room thermostat didn’t work. Would set the temp and a couple hours later it would disregard your setting and jump up by 20 degrees. The gym is laughable. Being connected to the pool, it’s incredibly humid. They also only had three weight…. Three.

We couldn’t enjoy, The staff were warm with us and friendly, but i booked the room for 3 nights, one month in advance for 2 persons unfortunately they gave us on big single bed, that was so uncomfortable for us i layed down on the floor, i asked them to change the room, they answered me: we dont have room, the breakfast was limited, cafee machine was out of service they couldn’t change it, they didn’t change sheets,

Les employés de l hôtel etaient chaleureux et amable et bien habillés, j ai demandé de changer la chambre malheureusement ils en ont pas de chambre avec 2 lit selon eux toutes étaient remplies.

Horrible parking not so great experience. Quoted 129 a night get there then she tries to charge 198 a night.

Rooms were outdated and so small. For a family of 4 we were tight. Thank God was only for one night. Carpets were dirty and parking was definitely a hassle.

Great service and great price! Have stayed here a few times while visiting Toronto. Close to the subway and downtown. Can be busy when sports teams (high school, university) teams are in the area for a tournament.

The staff were friendly and helped me get the best rates when my apartment building had a power outage (had an important interview - so needed WIFI).

Loved the hotel ️. Centered in downtown and near the metro. The pool was dangerous and gave me a little eye and skin infection: (

FIRSTLY THEY MESSAGED SAYING THAT THEY ARE GIVING A ROOM UPGRADE TO A KING EXECUTIVE ROOM. DONT TAKE THAT OFFER. We initially booked a double bedded room when they messaged through booking app. We thought it was an upgrade but all we got was a downgrade. THE ROOM WAS TINY, NO MICROWAVE, NO TV REMOTE. WE HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I DONT THINK IT WAS A KING EXECUTIVE ROOM. IF THAT ROOM IS A KING EXECUTIVE, I WOULD NEVER EVER TAKE A ROOM HERE.

A nice and clean hotel across from everything. Access to a gym&pool. Fridge&coffee maker and an extremely comfortable bed

In the heart of Toronto downtown. The staff is so kind and helpful, the room we had was clean with sufficient utilities, the pool was awesome as well. We loved our stay!

I like the gift shop where I always visit to find good gifts on the go for my children. The room service is good.

Corridors filthy. May want to consider a carpet cleaning schedule in hallways and rooms. Furniture, carpets and walls used and abused.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and management of the Downtown Holiday Inn for my recent stay. I had booked this hotel due to its close proximity to Sick Kids hospital, where my son was having a procedure done. I had booked a regular room, as the plan was for him to be admitted, but then plans changed and I needed to quarantine with him at the hotel for two days prior the procedure. So now I need a microwave to make some simple food for us. The manager I spoke with on the phone (sorry, couldn't get a name) immediately offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite which included a microwave for us to use. Although I wasn't aware at the time, the hotel included a breakfast voucher for both of us for the three nights we were there, which was a welcome surprise. At the time I booked the hotel, which was early April or so, the room rates were fantastic considering the downtown location, and in addition, there was a 50% discount on parking.

We were originally supposed to stay over three nights, but his procedure was moved up in the queue and he was discharged much earlier than originally expected, so we decided to drive home that night with him, to be in his own bed. While I was already very happy with the cost of the hotel, and not concerned about forfeiting the last night's stay, the front desk staff offered to reduce the last night by 50% anyway, as a courtesy to us.

Again, my sincere thanks to all of you for your kindness and courteous service during a fairly stressful few days with my family. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future, and would gladly recommend your location to anyone looking for accommodation in the downtown core.

Wonderful. Friendly & helpful staff, very clean comfortable rooms. I ate twice at the restaurant and the service was quick, delicious food and couldn’t believe how reasonable the price was! Underground parking included and close to everything I needed. Highly recommend.

Regular at this hotel, but very disappointed this time and will not be coming back.
Stay here for regular hospital treatments and appointments at Princess Margaret. Was misled by front desk that A/C was not working. Seriously ill and needed A/C. Promised it would be fixed next day, but wasn't upon return from cancer treatment 6hrs later. Forced to switch hotels without any serious help, despite being disabled and using wLker. Night manager too busy smoking outside with an air-crew. Appalling service. They call themselves the Flagship of HI in Toronto. More like NoTell Motel. Disgusted!
