Unfortunately, my experience with this medical facility was disappointing. Despite a referral sent weeks in advance, it was evident that the doctors did not adequately review my father’s records until the day of the appointment. This lack of due diligence resulted in a last-minute cancellation for a treatment that required significant preparation, including a two-day diet (my father is diabetic and not to mention the two days worth of workday he missed and the cost of the things we had to buy in preparation for this appointment). I understand if they aren’t comfortable doing the treatment due to his medical history, however, the last minute cancellation would have been avoided if they reviewed it in advance which is something a responsible medical professional have done.

We are so lucky to have this health care provider in the GTA - the entire process from setting up the appointment for the procedure right through to being discharged after the procedure was completely professional and totally impressive. Everyone was friendly, caring, competent and organized.

Over the past 10 years, I have had two colonoscopy’s done at Holly Street and was impressed both times with the staff, their professionalism and expertise, which gave me much confidence in their abilities and the procedure was over before I knew it. I had another one done years ago at another clinic and would never go back there and would only recommend Holly Street to anyone requiring a colonoscopy. Thanks to the staff at Holly Street for their kindness and for making an unpleasant procedure seem seamless!

Punctual, efficient and expert - what more could you want?

The booking process was efficient. I liked the reminders and the pre-procedure instructions were clear and comprehensive.

On the day, I was called in on time (in fact a few minutes early). All the staff clearly knew what they were doing, I felt I was in expert hands. Post-procedure tasks were taken care of in a friendly and efficient manner with no undue waiting around.

I saw DR MARIANA MARGULIES. I came from a country where doctors are ridiculously busy and barely talk in detail to patients. Even by that standard, a developing country standard, this doctor was so bad. She won't let me finish my sentences, completely overthrew my concerns every time I speak, assuming just because i am from a certain country I eat spice (said that out loud) and that is the root cause of problem even though I tried to explain multiple times that I have had this issues since teen age, I was always on a routine that includes not eating spices, that routine is not working anymore and I am getting more sick, most food, any fruits give me acid reflux and she insists on keep eating the things that giving me reflux, just not to eat things she listed (most of which i dont eat already, those are standard given by any GI), she was so dismissive that i could not even tell her I reduce my coffee intake to one cup, because without at least one migraine gets triggered, my neurologist noticed that too (i kept a chart for migraine attack) and then she assumes I don't have insurance even though I tried to interrupt and tell her twice that I have two insurances, one my own and one under my husband's plan. At the end I was so frustrated with trying to talk between when SHE talks, I just stopped talking and kept listening. I have been suffering for 8months with constant nausea, ill feeling and weight loss; despite the fact that I have the disease since I was 17. I know it is not like before, I know now any food annoys me and I stopped eating. All the solution she gave eat! Without even asking which food is giving me trouble, what I actually eat throughout the day. When i tried to say myself she replied she is not a dietitian and can refer dietitian but without insurance (?) it can be expensive. I was about to tell her when I was leaving my country I was due for an endoscopy colonoscopy both. But I truely honestly gave up. And came back home with another migraine. Oh at the end she implied i have anorexia when i said i "can't" eat.even though for last 5 years my only goal was to gain weight. I don't know what it is with the doctors here. Are they trained to not listen to patients who are new in Canada just assuming everything they say is wrong and fault lies with the culture they came from? !

I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. Although my veins were hard to find, they performed the procedure at once without hurting me. I received very good attention from all the doctors and nurses. The procedures were explained one by one. I stated that I was afraid and they told me about the application. They were always smiling and helpful. The clinic is very clean and tidy. At first, I was not confident that the procedure would be done in this way in the clinic, but after seeing the clinic and the attention, I completely trusted them. The procedure room was like an operating room. Thank you Holly Clinic for your help and being so good.

Absolutely amazing experience! Fantastic patient care and support from reception to nurses to Drs. Everything clearly explained, they took great care of me from set up to recovery. Couldn't ask for anything better.

First time having gastroscopy here this morning! Doctor and staff was amazing, I was so nervous and they made me feel so comfortable. Quick & smooth procedure.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Anesthesiologist was a bully! An Indian man who physically abused md. I am hyper sensitive to needle and when he saw me crying in pain, he pushed and wiggled the needle in my hand making me scream and cry in pain multiple times. Also, results were never even sent to my family doctor. A disgrace of a place!

This was my first colonoscopy and I was very nervous. Everyone was so kind and helped me feel very comfortable. The anesthesiologist explained everything he was doing very clearly which put me at ease. I went to sleep and woke up when the procedure was over. No memory and no pain.

Dr. Win was absolutely wonderful and kind, and informed me of the results of the procedure and helped me understand follow up and discharge requirements.

I would definitely come back to this clinic for future procedures!

A great professional experience start to finish. I got there early and they took me in immediately. They obviously do this a lot because their whole system is very well honed, as I was out in 50 minutes including the recovery. All the staff were friendly & very well trained. Tip: use a straw to drink the mixture for the prep, Much easier.

The nursing and attending staff were friendly, kind and great.

This is the best clinic I've ever been at. The whole staff is TRULY friendly and kind. I was very worried as I would do the endoscopy for my first time, but they all made this experience smooth and great, asking all the time how I was feeling before getting sedated. Thank you so much everyone, especially the anesthesiologist Rob, the doctor whose name I've forgotten and all the nurses/assistants. Thanks, thanks and thanks!

I've been here a few times over the yrs for scopes and I think they are as efficient and professional as it gets. In and out at the stated times, etc.

Wonderful experience from a warm and caring staff who immediately put me at ease and treated me with the upmost respect Highly recommended if you need colonoscopy.

Everyone was extremely polite from the recepcionist to the nurses and doctor. My experience was absolutely positive.

I was nervous coming in and the staff were quick to make me calm with their niceness and humour. The doctor asked me what my symptoms were and used the information to help with my diagnosis. After the procedure, he quickly updated me on it and discussed his findings on the spot to me. He told me the recommended next steps and who is should see. This is incredibly rare as most places tell you to wait for the report. The practise of this place sets an example of how all healthcare procedures should take place.

The staff was very professional and kind, and as someone who is very fearful of needles the anesthesiologist was understanding and took very good care of me.

I've never been to a clinic of any sort staffed by such pleasant people. I had an afternoon appointment which was only slightly delayed. The procedure was carried out efficiently and painlessly thanks to meds, and Dr. Sharaf, and I appreciated her clear explanation of the results and confirmation of the current treatment.

Very unresponsive and rude front office. Showed up for my appointment 30 mins early, and waited over an hour for the procedure. Never communicated my results to me, and sent directly to GP, which is fine, but they never informed me that they would proceed this way. Meanwhile, I have difficulties eating and sleeping.

My father in-law had a colonoscopy twice in this clinic with 2 different doctors- one 5 yrs ago and a follow up Colonoscopy this year. Everything went well. I am very happy with the clinic's service. Great doctors, great staff. Highly recommended.

I had a colonoscopy done at the Holly Endoscopy clinic last month. The team exceeded my expectations and made me feel very safe and comfortable the entire time. The doctors and nurses who cared for me were superb, extremely knowledgeable, and patient with me as I was nervous about the procedure. I will definitely be coming back if i ever need another procedure done in the future.

I had my colonscopy (Oct 7) and I have never experienced such excruciating stomach pain and extreme nausea afterwards. The nurse also noticed I was in serve pain, sweating profusely, and my heart rate had elevated. She offered nothing to comfort me as they are more concerned about when my ride will take me home. The pain and nausea continued at home, I vomited several times in so much pain. This was my 3rd colonscopy and the worst experience ever. No one should endure or suffer from a routine colonoscopy. If you choose to book here, be patient as it took 3 requisition forms to be sent in before receiving a reply. My physician was DR. SHARAF, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Amazing service! I had a gastroscope today and when I laid flat they asked some questions about medication and then gave me a cup of juice. After I waited for 30mins I asked when the scope will be done and they replied it's already finished! I literally just felt they chatted with me and gave a juice. I didn't even have a little feeling of sedation or wake-up.so perfect!

Just returned this morning having had an endoscopy, was nervous to begin with but excellent attentive staff changed all that. Had a chat re symptoms etc with Dr Wan and then made comfortable and given sedative. Woke up after a short while feeling relaxed, best sleep ever! Waited in recovery area for 20 minutes then escorted down to street level where my husband was waiting. Highly recommend.thank you all.

Had a gastroscope and colonoscopy here. Both very good experiences. Dr Ross did both procedures. I could not have been in better hands. Also, excellent anaesthetist for both procedures. I did not even have a bruise from the IV needle! Staff very warm and professional.

Wonderful Experience!
Today I visited this clinic for the 1st time to get a Colonoscopy. The Covid-19 rules were followed very well. The staff was professional and kind, the place was very clean. This is the second time I have the procedure done and was certainly much better than a previous location I used.

For a procedure I avoided for many years so glad I came here. One of the most pleasant procedure I've had. Staff were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Was a little concerned with some of the reviews I read, BUT this place was great! I had my procedure this past Monday with Dr. Brenneman and he was very personable and took his time with me. I don't recall the anesthesiologist name but he was fabulous as well as the nurse. She made me feel as she really cared. Thank you everyone!

Very professional, I had someone just hold my hand until the anesthetic kicked in to make me feel comfortable. When I woke up they were very attentive to me. Both my parents have been and had the same experiences. Thank you!

Was a little nervous about my first colonoscopy, but the staff were very friendly. The doctors and nurses were supportive and informative and made me feel relaxed. The procedure was done on time. The people at this clinic are friendly and put you at ease.

Giving two stars for the super nice anesthesiologist and nursing staff, otherwise it would be a one (or zero). My doctor seemed more concerned with staying on schedule than letting me know what in the hell he was doing. Didn’t introduce himself even, or I would include his name here. Thought they would just be viewing things, but ended up getting band ligations? Which cause bleeding and discomfort and can take up to two weeks to heal. Wasn’t warned this was a possibility before I went in. The doctor spoke to me for MAYBE 45 seconds after the procedure and seemed more concerned with getting to his next patient than making sure I knew how to properly take care of myself. Also quickly dropped that “it may not work” even though I had no idea what he’d even DONE and what “not working” entails in this case, before rushing off and barely answering my questions. I get that this is all old news for him as a doctor but as a human being I like to know what’s going on with my body, ESPECIALLY when I’m in pain and I wasn’t expecting to be and I’ve just come from being under general anesthesia. Seems like there were some nice doctors there but my doctor didn’t seem to respect that minor procedures can still be very scary.

Arrived for my wife's appointment.it was originally 10am. But they called to move to 8am because of a cancellation. Wife missed call but called back several times and left a message to confirm.

Luckily they just took her in so it's not a total loss.

Make sure you call a dozen times to confirm person to person. They do not take messages.

I have had 2 experiences at this clinic and both times I was extremely disappointed. Each time I was left with more questions, no answers, and there was a lot of unprofessional behavior from Dr. Ian Plener specially on my second visit. It seems that this clinic tries to book as many people as they can handle and it surely shows by the poor attention that is given to their patients. On my first visit, I was told I would have a visit with the Gastroenterologists which never happened. Dr. Ian Plener showed up for my Colonoscopy/Endoscopy 2 minutes before the procedure, and dismissed all the problems to one thing he read in my summary chart even though not all of the symptoms matched his quickly dismissive diagnosis. After that, the procedure was extremely short and I am not even sure it was done properly as he informed me on the second meeting he didn't get to everything. Once I was out he just wanted me to get out of there and dismissed my concern for all the other symptoms I was having, but finally after I pushed and pushed that I was having serious issues he provided medication. What bothers me the most is that he never asked for the whole picture or when everything started so he could be more informed when making a diagnosis. After my follow up appointment which I was having 3 weeks later my first one, I am still having the same symptoms. He showed up to our meeting 17 minutes late, and began to talk to me as he is taking of his winter coat and turning on his computer barely listening to me. I am not sure if it is his inexperience as a doctor or just simply he doesn't care but he dismissed all my symptoms again and just tried to get me out of there as quickly as possible even though he was the one who came in late. I tried to be calm with him even though I am having some serious health issues and he treated this meeting as if it was a joke and just one in 100 he had to do that day. Extremely unprofessional if I had a choice I would have never went to this clinic for such a serious procedure.

My family doctor sent a referral to this clinic which i am very happy that he did. From the very beginning when the appointment was made to the end when the test was done the whole thing was a very pleasant and professional visit. The staff is very friendly and very professional.
Doctor Musselman was very friendly, professional and right to the point.
The entire staff makes sure that you as a patient understand what is going on and what is exactly is done during the test.
They make sure that you are very comfortable and you do not experience any issues during the test and afterwards when you leave the clinic.
What i liked the most was that the whole atmosphere in the clinic was very pleasant, better than having the test done in a Hospital.
I will definitely go back when I am due for the next test.
To all staff keep up the good work you are doing for us in order to make sure that we are healthy as much as possible.

Very friendly and professional staff. Clean facility. My doctor referred me for procedures to the hospital and the next available date was in 4! Months. My coworker recommended to call this clinic and i got an appointmeni in 2 days. I was called in for my procedures on time without waiting. The doctor, anesthesiologist and nurses were very caring, explained everything and answered my questions. Thank you!

Had a 10 AM scheduled Colonoscopy. Prep instructions and reminders were given in a timely manner. Arrived just before 10 AM and was promptly seen by the nurse, anesthetist and doctor. Everyone was friendly, professional and answered all questions. Sedative worked perfectly but I was much less groggy afterwards than I was ten years ago at a different clinic. All in all, as good an experience as possible. I highly recommend this clinic.
