Absolutely love their food. The donuts are also some of the best I've ever had in Ottawa.

One of the best burger places in town. Price and Quality of Holly’s hot chicken cannot be beat. The donuts are the perfect touch after the spicy delicious burgers.

Given other reviews on this place, I was expecting some killer fried chicken. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Instead of being juicy and delicious, the chicken was dry and tasteless. Their website mentions that they brine their chicken in buttermilk. If so, they're either seriously under-salting the brine OR letting the chicken brine way too long. That's really the only way they could be brining and still end up with such a bland and dry final product.

I was hoping Holly's Hot Chicken would be a fabulous independent chicken joint in Hintonburg, but they really didn't make the cut. Likely won't be back.

Came to this place for takeout and was a great experience for me. Service was quick and provided sufficient advice on their food. The decor can be better.

Had the Chicken Sandwich - Extra Hot (ghost pepper), spicy fries and raspberry lemon donut. Great place for that hot chicken sandwich. I've had ghost pepper burgers elsewhere and thought this was similar - this BRINGS in the heat! The Sandwich was very crispy, had the pickles and sauce which I wholeheartedly enjoy. Fries were a good add-on; spicy and thick. Donut was good, but can be messy as it's filled to the brim. Overall, a great place for that hot chicken experience w/ variety sides!

SOOOOO GOOOD. I literally go out of my way everytime I'm on ottawa to get this FIRE chicken sandwich. But still no photo cause I eat it TOOO quickly.
And their blueberry fritter (only tried once but near closing) was just to die for. This place def either deserves wayyy more popularity then they got now, or I got lucky the few times I've been there.

Didn’t get any of the spicy ones and it was bland. No seasoning on the chicken could be tasted. The donuts didn’t seem to have any flavour either. Lacking the salt to bring out the flavour.

I had the Plain Jane chicken burger. It was nice and crispy, fresh and light tasting. The fries were also very good.

Just had lunch here. WOW! So delicious. My coworker had the Holly’s hot and he loved it. I had the habanero and it was the perfect amount of spice. Delicious! Absolutely blown away - can’t wait to come back

I had the Honey Garlic Sandwich and it was sooooo good. The chef gave me two slices of chicken and OMG! So crunchy.

Holy Moly. The doughnuts are out of this world. A stop for just a donut is worth it.

Chicken sandwich on the other hand is a bit small, and lacked flavour. Habenara wasn't spciy so I'm taking that as a challenge to come back and try the Carolina reaper one.

Nashville hot chicken is kind of a trend now, but Holly was doing it in Ottawa — via various pop ups — long before anyone else. And her hot chicken is hands-down the best. So crunchy, so spicy, just the right amount of pickles and lettuce … I appreciate that you can choose the level of spice, too. Fries are also good, and Holly’s pastry chef background means she’s also amazing at things like donuts, which are also on offer. My only complaint is that this is more of a takeaway place, which is fine during the summer with several places to eat nearby outside, but in the winter it’d be nice to see the place spruced up a bit for indoor dining.

Very average burgers. Bit greasy side. The cream cheese bun were below average. Cauliflowers were over fried. Mac and cheese was blunt. Seems bit overhyped location.

This place is amazing. I had the habanero extra hot cauliflower sandwich and fries. They were both so good and full of flavor.

Holly’s Hot Chicken has great word of mouth for a reason. Our sandwiches (The Holly’s Hot and Honey Garlic) were exceptionally tasty and the price was right. A good place to visit in the neighborhood.

I've tried a few of the hot chicken places around town, so far this stands out as the best. Friendly and enthusiastic service, a concise menu, delicious food, and good prices.

I had the extreme original hot sandwich, which a nice sweat inducing heat, a generous serving of fries (only $4!), a tangy coleslaw, and the host suggested the cheesy corn cob which was a sleeper hit.

Beyond that they have some fun sodas and delicious doughnuts. Would definitely recommend, and I'll be back to climb up the spice ladder to reach that California reaper.

Wow is all I can say. This is BY FAR the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! I will be having dreams extra spicy chicken sandwich for the rest of my life. The breading was perfect then home made Doughnut was delicious. I wish I could give this 6 stars

WOW this place is awesome, I biked here from Kanata just to try it out on a whim and was not disappointed. I went for the chicken but had to try a donut when I saw them. I got a strawberry Nutella donut and it is hands down the best donut I have ever had. It had fresh strawberry jam and Nutella whipped cream in it, giving it a really nice light consistency.

I also got the habanaro hot chicken and the flavor was great plus the coating was so very crispy despite all the sauce on it.

This place should be a landmark of Ottawa with how well they make their food.

Hands down the best hot chicken sandwiches in the city. Plus incredible sides and donuts for dessert. Highly recommend this place!

Just came across this place while driving around. Paid 12$ for a chicken sandwich and it was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Definitely recommend!
