My facial was amazing. Maryam stayed with me the whole time even while the masks were setting. She massaged my scalp or arms. I don't like when they put a product on and leave for 20 minutes. I can do that at home. This experience was pricey but a great treat.

I had a massage and facial treatment done by Anna. She was very kind and made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.

Fantastic service. Very professional and welcoming staff. The ambience was warm and relaxing and the Aromatherapy massage was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Honestly, I don't see any reason to not recommend Holtz spa. I had great experience. Staff here is highly qualified and professional. They were patient to answer every question I had with the services I took.

My husband was celebrating a birthday, so I treated him (and I by default) to a couples massage. We have been doing this annually since we moved to Ottawa 4 years ago, during different times of the year. This visit our massage therapists - Brianna and Sierra - were next level. They truly listened to what our concerns were and really focused on those areas during the extent of our massage. Leaving we felt taller and a little like Jell-O. The aesthetics of the spa are perfect for relaxing, from the quiet area: to the treatment rooms. Soft glowing lights from the fireplaces, subtle décor and soothing music. From reception to the spa entrance, washrooms and treatment rooms, it was clean. Another truly great experience, cannot wait until the next one.

Holtz Spa is place were you can look good, feel good, and have professionnels helping you achieve this experience.

Wonderful place! My partner and I got a couples massage, and we enjoyed our experience. We had Brianna and Sierra. Both RMTs were professional, polite, informative, and paid attention to our individual needs. Will definitely come back here!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and treated ourselves to a deep tissue couples massage. Everything about the experience was smooth and flawless. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, the appointment was right on time and the massages done by Christine and Jessica were AMAZING! My husband and I walked out of there feeling great! I would recommend this spa and hope to come back next time were in Ottawa!

2: 30 appointment, got there at 2: 15. Waited till 3pm. Left. So sad, cause I was referred to them by Fairmount château in Ottawa. Horrible service. Atleast keep to your timings. Fairmount should not refer its customers here, if this place can't keep up to the same level of service.

You book your appointment, get there 15 mins earlier but they will make you wait 30mins! Awful service! They only care about getting your credit card info in case you cancel or don’t show up!

I have been looking for a reputable spa in Ottawa when I travel. I cannot express how AMAZING this place is. I booked Thai experience package. And it blew me alway! By far, the best spa I visited for a long time. Please, do yourself a favour, take a few hours to be pampered. This spa is 7 stars! Thank you, I was brought back to life.

We went in for a couples massage, and the entire experience from the time we walked through the doors was so nice. The calming environment. The cleanliness, and the staffs experience was wonderful. They provided feedback at the end of the massage about where the problem areas they felt, as well as how to help relieve the tensions. We will definitely return.

I really enjoyed my stay there very professional but I think they should be trained more better after spending over $200 I still have some dead skin on my body it kinda?

I had a wonderful experience, my massage therapist (unfortunately forget her name) is very skilled in what she does and her passion shows through her work. I will come again and recommend this salon. Thank you so much!

Several couples services purchased to the tune of $650+ tip:
- was not advised that Massage Therapist was not registered. Massage OK but unable to claim on insurance - which ended up costing me over $185 for a massage by an unlicensed therapist.

- Shallac polish on toes removed with nail file instead of proper equipment causing cuticle scraping/cuts on 3 toes (which bled and are now scabbed). Agent was pressed for time and could not apply shallac as requested. Not great value for $90 pedicure

- Manicure took almost 90 minutes with no soak time (in parafin or water) or cuticle removal. Again, not great value for $50 manicure with light nail polish.

Overall, not a great first experience or value for money for me. My husband was luckiest, with a good massage by a licensed therapist and above average service for his pedicure. Me.not so much.

Holtz Spa felt welcoming from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked into the rest of my day feeling rejuvenated. The receptionist staff were very courteous and efficient in getting me set up for my first appointment for a massage with Bri, who really changed my day! I got Bri by chance / availability and I am so glad I did because she cared about the reason I was seeking a massage (chronic pain) and educated me while helping me relax as she guided the pain away. I do recommend an 80min massage over 50 because the time does slip away especially when you’re that relaxed. Will definitely be going back and requesting her care and you should too if you have some pain that won’t go away, whether it’s your headaches, threw out your back, or arthritic hips. Heads up: tips are cash only, and I knew because of reviews I read.

We had a great experience here! Excellent service from the RMTs and the estheticians who did our pedicures. I'm taking off 1 star because they only accept tips in CASH. No one informed me of this beforehand so that I could have come prepared. I used their non-bank ATM "conveniently" tucked away in the coat room. It's 2022 and they really need to get with the times and allow you to add the tip to your bill to pay via debit or credit.

Great service. Professional and caring staffs. They always enquired how you're feeling from time to time. They showed care. Went there for a massage and pedi for my birthday and I've been raving about it.

Honestly, this was my very first experience with anything to do with pedicures but I had to come in to get an ingrown toenail removed because of the pain I have been dealing with for over 6 months. As a stubborn male who's never gotten a pedicure before, I thought I could take the pain I've been dealing with until it eventually goes away on its own. I was dead wrong obviously lol.

Valerie Mugumbate was the person who took care of me and honestly, she made this painful experience that much better for me because she took the time to Educate Me, She Reassured me, made sure I was Comfortable, gave me some home work practices to start doing in order to prevent another ingrown and even taught me how to properly cut my nails. I honestly didn't know what to expect with my first experience but certainly didn't expect such quality care with an educational component. I was (still am) very happy to the point that I gave Valerie a $100 which was 100% tip (I hope she got the full amount because I had to leave it in an envelope at the front desk). I simply did this because i have a lot of Anxiety and she kept me calm, comfortable, helped me through the pain of the removal and made me feel like she cared about me because she wanted to protect me from any additional pain in the future. I can't thank Valerie enough for this level and Quality of Care. I will only be making appointments with Valerie moving forward because of the Experience she made sure I had.

I had an absolutely wonderful pedicure experience with Maryam. She was professional, kind and helpful. Treat yourself, ladies - a visit to the spa is a must!

Worst pedicure EVER! I am so disappointed with the service I received. The esthetician spent about 15 seconds with the file on my right foot and not much longer on my left foot because she said I had no calluses. Came home and my feet were so rough that I had to exfoliate them myself! She also didnt do a good job trimming my nails. She slapped some cream on and with her latex gloved hands, she rubbed the cream in. No massage and no reflexology even though I was told a reflexology massage would be included when I booked the appointment. It is even mentioned on their website. When I told the young woman at the front desk that I did not enjoy my pedi, she didnt even offer a fake apology. Nothing. She quickly processed my payment and that was it! What a nightmare!

As always- this Spa is 10. Knowledge of the staff, welcoming of guests, and professionalism of all the staff. Well trained and shows that Donna invests in ongoing training for her staff.

My experience at Holtz Spa was great! I received a facial and I enjoyed how each step/product was explained to me in regards to how it was going to feel or positively affect my skin. I will definitely go back for another facial.

I arrived for a facial for the first time since pre-pandemic, admittedly with skin in poor shape requiring professional help. Joelene was like a breath of fresh air, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, she took the time to walk me through my skins concerns, talked with me at length about best practices and products for my parched and stripped skin, and left me feeling fresh and clean. I practically floated out of the spa after her scalp massage. If you’re looking for a place to get pampered by friendly and professional staff, Holtz is the place to go.

I booked a romance spa package for my mom and dad, called the front desk to make sure they get their refreshments because online it says due to covid they will not be serving refreshments, the girl said because I got the package it will still be included but my parents said they weren't offered anything. I called again and tell the front desk the situation and the girl claims she never said this. Im super unhappy with your customer service, I paid for something and should have gotten it even after clarifying with an employee.

Went last week to Holtz Spa Ottawa for the Tequila pedicure with a friend and we are already making plans to go back. The foot massage was awesome (so were the margaritas). I have been several times for spa treatments (wraps, facials, pedicures) and massages and I have been delighted every time. The treatments are geared towards relaxation and do not disappoint.

Professional, friendly service at a spa where they really know what they are doing. They treat clients with kindness and respect, are up on the latest treatments, and have excellent Covid protocols in place.

It is always nice to come to the spa and be treated so wonderfully. Especially after being away for many months. Was amazing to see friendly faces and catch up. I’ve been going to this spa for years now and I love it. People tell me they find it expensive but I find that specifically for massage with Christine and facial/microdermabrasion with Hilda, the prices are worth it! Christine has helped me so many times with pain in my neck and back, I can walk in having trouble moving and walk out relieved. Hilda takes the time to understand anything in your life that may affect your skin and why you’re having issues and always gives good advice on what to do. The front desk staff are awesome. I will continue to come here and recommend these services to my friends and family.

I’ve had some really wonderful massages here! Anabella is particularly good, and is always very helpful providing suggestions to help with muscle tightness/pain day to day. I’m hoping to try some other services soon!

I had the Holtz Signature Body Treatment and it was nourishing and customized for me. I felt incredible when my service was complete and my esthetician was very professional. I was unable to completely unwind and let go of all tension. I highly recommend!

I had a spa day with my daughter today! Had full body scrub with an amazing massage afterwards. The ambiance and atmosphere was relaxing and staff were just terrific & welcoming. Loved our service and plan to come again soon for sure, a great experience.

Had a great Thai massage today.
The only problem is that, when I called last Friday to book an appointment, the person asked me if I will need the receipt for insurance, so I told her that yes I will need one to claim for the insurance.
She told me that there is no available one for Saturday, but Sunday there is a 2pm or 4pm available.
I took the 2pm and went there today, and had a great massage.
However, when I paid, that's the only time I've learned that the one they gave me is not registered. So I can't claim my receipt to the insurance company.
Massage is great but this miscommunication is not good for my pocket.

In answer to your response. Yes, I do not use my other email and name for public to see. But I will call tomorrow.

I’d actually give 2.5 stars. My husband and I went for a couples massage a few months ago and it was great! Then I went for a single massage that was suppose to be 50 minutes - when I said it seemed a bit short I was told that was because of the time I took to use the washroom. Next time (a few days ago) I made sure I used the washroom first. I was with a new masseuse and this time I’m sure massage was even shorter than before. It was a great massage, but probably about 10 minutes less than what I paid for. So, good massages but I suggest bringing a stop watch with you!

Edit - I’m not interested in „resolving“ the issue, I just won’t be back. Also, I go by my middle name.

Visited for a prenatal massage, manicure and pedicure yesterday. The women who did my pedicure and massage were excellent! However, the woman who did my manicure didn’t do a very good job.filed my pinky nail so hard it took a layer of skin off - very painful. Also, my cuticles look really rough and the polish job was average. Not worth the high price

Holtz Spa is the best in Ottawa! I have been a client at Holtz for over 10 years and treated myself to all their services, facials, massage, detox treatments, mani/pedi. The ambiance is zen in an impeccably clean environment with a team of true experts who care for wellbeing overall. A true 5 stars experience!

Christine was amazing for me mom-to-be massage. She was able to target all the spots and relieve my pain. Definitely get relaxed afterwards.

My husband surprised me with a spa day at Holtz. We had been previously to Holtz a number of times and were expecting a nice day. To say our experience was less than enjoyable is an understatement. It was awful. When we arrived 15 minutes early (as instructed) we proceeded to wait for close to half an hour (after our services were to have started) to begin.
Our scrub was lovely. Then onto our massage which was less than pleasant and seemed to be quite rushed. Did I mention we paid for 80 minutes?
Lastly, our foot treatments. Here is where it gets exceptionally awful. My husband was so received some luxury foot treatment. It was about 20 minutes and anything but luxurious. My pedicure was mostly spent with the technician trying to remove my current shellac pedi. Not only was it painful, but the whole thing took well over an hour and half. And she left previous polish on my nails. My husband was sent to wait in the lounge for well over an hour, and we missed our lunch reservation.
It was a horrible experience, and we will not be back.

HOLTZ Spa IS great. I have been a few times for different treatments and I have always been amazed with the staff and services. It's far from where I live but still worth the travel time. Packages with lunch were also great!

Challenges with my Spa appointments were resolved by Dana who took action to improve my experience. Looking forward to coming in to enjoy our couples massages.

Going to Holtz for body treatments with Begham is a real treat. She is extremely good, professional and never disappoints. I highly recommend her.

This spa is a hidden oasis in the downtown of Ottawa! Every time I come here I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Also they have amazing staff, they are very kind and are excellent at what they do. Prices are fair. I would love the chance to go back again!

I've only been once to Holtz Spa, but it was wonderful. I had an ART Massage for my bothersome back, and the RMT was wonderful. The staff were so helpful and friendly when booking, while I was there (in pain nonetheless) and accommodating. As I'm writing this, I am realizing I'm due for a massage! Highly recommend.

I have been going to the Holtz Spa now for 2 years. Each time I go the people are so friendly and helpful. The prices are great and there is always a little monthly promotion to add to your already excellent experience here. It has been my go to place for massages since moving to Ottawa!
