Not a fan of this location. It's not the biggest, so there are less options. The staff, although they are very friendly, spend a lot of time talking to each other. I found it nice that there was a community here and everyone was friends, but I had trouble checking out in a timely manner.

Store clean, bright. Busy but not crowded. Halloween and fall decor on sale with good selections available. Sale items in flyer were thin with available selections but we're able to get colour and size we were looking for. Check person was fantastic. Between discounts available and promotions used by her but not known to us, the end bill was significantly reduced.

One of the better homesenses in the region except the kids section is tiny. The rest of the departments have lots, though.

This is a beautiful and well stocked store. I especially love it during the holidays (fall, Halloween and Christmas decor). Such a good selection and excellent staff too.

Amazing home store, offering wide range of lighting, rugs, furniture and more. A store with the most unique selection of items for home, kitchen and more.

Lots of storage solutions this time of the year. Even some Easter and Valentine’s Day items were out.

Great sales floor associate very helpful with my questions. Get to the cashier and she was rude. I purchased a few glass items that needed to be wrapped up and I asked her if she could wrap them do they didn't scratch. She rolled her eyes at me like it was too much work. I spent a fair bit yesterday and she seemed like she didn't want to be there. Was disappointed as this was my go to store.

The store has been closed for months and I just moved houses and needed to buy SO much stuff! But they refused to do a simple return of a shower curtain for me. So they’ve just lost out on a $400+ shopping trip ‍️ I’ll go to structube instead.

Great location. The staff is always friendly and they are well stocked, have interesting food items too. Even during covid they make sure everything is sanitized and people are following the protocol. My go to place to curate a gift basket.

We went there after dinner yesterday. Hoping to get some more Christmas decorations for this year to brighten the days. We were shocked there were only a few Christmas decorations. I should say there was almost nothing. It seems that no one is going to celebrate this year. So sad!

The store has lot of variety for household items. Made it easy for us to organize the kitchen and dining area

HomeSense is great, but be weary when purchasing hastly as many items seem and I have experienced them to be anywhere from broken, was "repaired", damaged, or about to brake condition. However, this is complimented by pricing with those imperfections taken in consideration as well as a great return policy, so take that as you may. Food items at HomeSense I would also conclude to be a bit dodgy in general and would advise to browse with thaf.

That being said, HomeSense really is a fantastic place for anything remotely similar to filling up space in your home and last minute gifts/gift ideas. They even have some home essentialls such as largely discounted branded name linens and cookware.

Selection could be better. They are doing a great job of managing traffic in the store due to covid-19.

I had to post a review after the experience I had on the second day they opened during Covid. I was in line with my 6 year old son there were about 40 people in front of me. It was raining and as we were all waiting in line I had my son covered with my sweater over his head for protection from the rain. A lady or homesense associate was walking up and down the line talking to all of us who were waiting. The morale among us all was very positive as I think we were all just so happy to be getting out and going to homesense. When she approached she kindly offered for us to wait under the covered entrance and she said don’t worry we will hold your place in line. I walked up to the front with my son and not one person questioned me as to where I was going. We got to the front and spoke to people as we waited. Our place in line finally came and we were greeted by the kindest staff who treated us all so respectfully. Everyone seemed happy and pleasant and even the shoppers were respectful of each other’s space. I saw the associate who helped us in the store and I also personally thanked her. I did not tell her but my son hash autism and if we had to wait much longer in the rain we may have had to come back on another day. Thank you homesense and to the associate who made our day ️

The staff is always friendly and helpful at this location. With new policies in place for COVID-19 we had a short wait in line outside before being allowed in the store. Hand sanitizer was provided and we were able to walk the aisles comfortably as there were fewer people than usual in the store. Although stock levels were down, the store was clean and well organized.

I can find a lot of organic food products at a very accessible price. I love browsing this store, and having the surprise to find good buys.
I wish they would have more for pets in terms of good, organic food.

I love this place! The coolest items for your home at affordable prices. I feel like kid in a candy store

I do wish they would put back into effect item inventory checks, when looking for a set of 6 leather stools for our kitchen, it's a bit of a hassle driving to 8 Home Senses (Guelph - London) only to find out they only have 4 of the same stools, 2 in kitchener, 1 in brantford and 1 in Guelph. It would have saved me gas and time if they would have just looked up the stools when calling. Love the stools and their stuff just felt like I was a goose chase when they could have just looked up the sku # for me.

Love home sense. The collection is too good and price is quite reasonable. I strongly would recommend Homesense to all those who love to add style to their home. Enough parking space available at king street, waterloo store.

Winner's sister store. Wonderful for kitchen items and good price on area rugs plus lots of seasonal extras and the odd deal that is remarkably good.

Favourite store in Waterloo. Lots of choice and always in style. Staff are friendly and helpful. Love this place!

Amazing display and a great variety of decorating products. Anything from sheets and towels to lamps, candles, or kitchen cookware. Staff is efficient and I always find good deals. I just wish they had an online catalogue and purchase system. I feel their webpage is a bit of a dissapointment.you go in, you like the idea.and then you click out because there is no real use for it.

JENNIFER IS THE REASON WHY PEOPLE SHOP ONLINE. I have never felt so disrespected by a store manager in my entire life. I just moved into a new home that needs everything from furniture to decor, and my sister just started her own aesthetics business which she needs to buy EVERYTHING for. We live an hour and half away and we visited this location on Sunday to look for all of the furniture and decor we would need and then decided we would do our big shopping trip yesterday. We were able to borrow a truck and were ready to shop. We were ready to buy everything, we had two rugs picked out, four lamps, five pieces of large furniture, and a whole basket full of smaller items- all of which would have easily totalled $2,000 or more. My sister is in university and just starting her small business to help cover expenses, so she has budgeted a certain amount for each thing she needs. She found a dusty pink chair that would have been perfect for her space but was disappointed that the price was $699.99+hst for a chair that was really no more remarkable than the $299 chair on the other side of the store (how they make up their pricing is beyond me, I saw two comforters the exact same priced $15 apart). Anyways, I decided to push the button for help to see if they would be able to do better on the price, or if they offer discounts for large orders or small businesses. The woman that came over was so friendly and kind to us, and offered to ask her manager without hesitation. She paged the most senior person available at 7: 30pm on the headset (JENNIFER). You could tell right away from overhearing the conversation that Jennifer would rather die before having to come and assist a stupid customer in the furniture section. We waited there for a good 10 minutes for Jennifer to brush by (she was probably busy putting stickers over the damaged parts of items), and that she did. Her friendly employee said "these two ladies are wondering if there is anyway that the price could be negotiated on this chair". Jennifer turned her attention away from the employee and looked me dead in the eyes and asked, "is it damaged", I said no but- and she cut me off and literally screamed in my face THEN NO. Then she reprimanded her employee right in front of us (who had helped us) and said that she should know better than to waste time even entertaining the thought of a discount. I tried to speak and Jennifer stormed away leaving us standing with the employee who began apologizing apathetically for her manager's horrific way of handling the situation. The employee said that she was new and felt so bad for how the situation was handled. In my opinion, Jennifer could learn a lot from her. She could have said to us, "No I'm sorry we can't do that but maybe look in the clearance section, or no but if there's anything else I can help with let me know. ", but nothing. Needless to say, I set our overflowing basket of items on the blush pink chair and left the store. I drove three hours in total yesterday and left without a thing. I will NEVER return to this store as long as Jennifer works there, she is a shining example of an indecent human being who's behaviour is inexcusable in all circumstances. Today I'm shopping on Wayfair from the comfort of my own home and I definitely encourage anyone thinking of visiting this severely overpriced HomeSense location to consider taking your business elsewhere. Awful women like Jennifer do not belong in a customer service role, and she should be ashamed of how she treated us. I hope young women will shop elsewhere and support women who are kind to other women. Jennifer is the reason why people shop online.
