Honest Restaurant Ajax

Name is honest.but the place isn't honest at all. Asked for a pav bhaji dosa with no onion.and they gave one with onions. Called the person and said we asked for one with onion and pls replace it.they brought another one which again had onions.not sure how can they be so careless.

We ordered the Bahubali sandwich and Pav bhaji. The sandwich is named appropriately. Its HUGE! I don't think one person can eat that in a single sitting. Tastes great! Bhaji was good but the pav were average. Soggy and chewy.

All North Indian varieties were tasting great. I was tempted by all the reviews and ordered Dabang Dosa first, but for those with traditional South Indian taste buds, I don't think it suits well. Roties were excellent and Bahubali Sandwich was meeting the hype, especially those fries were really crunchy and yummy!

Chinese bhel was not as what we have expected, but when we made it To-go, kids loved it in the night (after those crispy noodles turned soft).

Really a very good Veg Restaurants in this area with awesome North Indian Street foods.

I visited to this restaurant Thursday Oct 19 & order chat papdi but chat papdi doesn’t have chickpeas in side very sweet also no spicy at all
Also expensive too and they keep increasing prices

I called today honest restaurant and asked to their person who answered my phone call why they not using chickpeas in a chat papdi he told me very rudely this our recipes I don’t care if u don’t like his behaviour was very badly towards to me as a customer I fill very insulting he is very rude don’t know how to talk to the customer then I asked I need to talk to yr manager he said to he is a manager so think about managers like this how expect from the staff to talk to you
So no more wasting my money

Worst noodles ever i order hakka noodles the taste was not good dont try i would suggest you cook and eat.

Have visited it many times, and never got disappointed. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food serves the quality and quantity to price paid. Tasteful as always and better than many other pure veg Indian restaurant. Just love going there.

Ordered 2 paav bhaji! Isn’t that like a simple order? Was told you will get it in 20 mins, kept me waiting 50 mins. Called at 6.48, order given at 7.38. Also when I called kept me on hold for minutes just to take my order. Thanks but no thanks, typical customer service failure scenario. Useless

We ordered masala dosa,
Plane dosa, vada pav, honest special pav bhaji, veg Manchurian, veg Hakka noodles and cheese baked honest special pizza

Dosa was good. Pav bhaji says special but only thing special was adding dry fruits. Which was disappointment. Adding dry fruit on top is not special. Moreover it was spoiling the taste.
In vada pav, Vada was having very very less salt.
Veg Manchurian dry was very good.
Veg Hakka noodles were very good.

One of the most disappointment was all the dish was given at the same time. It was not sequenced like appetizers first, main course little later. Even we were not asked that do we want everything together or in some interval.
Since everything came all together table was short to accommodate all the dishes.

We requested tea to provide at the beginning. But it was provided at the end.

Request to please provide foods in interval. Not all together. It becomes difficult to put everything in the table.

Food and service were great! We really enjoyed the Dahi vada, vada bites, Hakka noodles and faloodas.

We went there yesterday on Friday night. They were so welcoming. Food was delicious. We tried their special pav bhaji, Bahubali sandwich, dahipuri, Dabang dosa and everything was sooo good and fresh.

If you are looking for vegetarian food in the neighbourhood, try honest! Had a nice Friday night meal with family.

Didn’t like the food as it was too spicy and too much salt. We ordered mild. The food might be good for people who like this type of spice level. I couldn’t finish my food.

First service is very bad in preparing the order.they take lot of time. I ordered noodles and manchuria. Noodles are mushy and tasteless as well as manchuria.

Excellent food and service. I have been here a few times, and this place never disappoints, be it food or the service. It is a good place for tasty vegetarian food options. Vada pav, Dabang dosa, Bahubali sandwich (without jam), Masala chai, chinese bhel & Pav bhaji are some of the items I have tried so far and they all were just amazing. I happened to meet the owners too & they are very kind and accommodating. A must go place in Ajax. I'm definitely coming back for more. Keep up the good work guys

Good Ambiance.great variety available.lot more of people will like the taste.but service needs improvement a lot and make it more customer friendly and not just guide people.will update review after few more experience

Authentic and tasty India food options. My family and I absolutely loved the scrumptious food. I must say delivery was quicker than any other places I have been in Toronto and Niagara

Have tried the food in all branches in Ontario they have kept the taste so consistent. Love the pav bhaaji always fresh and yummy.

Good place to grab some authentic Indian food … Hina in particular is so delightful to deal with

Dabeli - I will never try it here again
Idli - Don’t even think to order Idli, you will regret.

Dosa - Tasted better
Sambhar - Was nice may be because cooked with HAIR…lol

Nice food, parking available, decent staff and for getting the Indian feel sometimes, you should visit it.
I think vada pav is much better than pizza somewhere else.

We had dinner last week at the Honest restaurant in Ajax. The cuisine brought to mind Honest in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Our taste senses were satiated by the scrumptious food. I'll undoubtedly tell my friends about this place. The customer service was good too and it was nice meeting owner Mr. Lucky.

Really nice restaurant with amazing food and great atmosphere. We have been great fan of Honest restaurants chain in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The food is at par and tastes great just like Honest, India.
Would highly recommend Honest pav bhaji with dry fruits and the grated cheese bhakri pizza.

Staff is amazing, customer service is good. This time we have ordered Bahubali sandwich and Mysore masala dosa and one mango lassi. Sandwich was good but Mango lassi taste so buttery, there was a less taste of mango and more taste of buttery. Sambhar taste not fresh it taste kind of stale.

Amazing food, service and family environment. My family and I visited and were treated with such care. The food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. A definite recommendation.

We went in with high hopes at this new restaurant, ordered Punjabi thali and sorry to say but the food was pathetic. Too much spices in all the curries and it all tasted similar.

We loved the taste. Snacks are very authentic flavour and fresh. The only major issue what we felt was of spice level. I am a person who eats 2 green chilli with every meal. But when I ordered Dabang dosa, samosa chat and vada pav, I asked everything to be mild in spices. But surprisingly they food had too much spices and chilli that I couldn’t finish the meal. And packing it and bringing it home was also not a option because I wouldn’t have eat it as well.

I really want to visit the place again, but chilli level would force me to rethink ️

Horrible service and way overpriced for they offer. Even for chaat the wait times are super looong!

Loved the food and the staff was pleasantly welcoming.
They ensure to explain the ingredients of each dish served to us.
There are few spots in front and couple more in the back of the restaurant.

Masala papad was not fresh at all.
Pav bhaji is good. There was this one girl who was us asking for help still ignored us. We only wanted water and the owner asked her to bring us water and we were more than 8 people but she only got us one bottle which was not enough for even 4 of us. Very bad service. A boy who seemed like a student was also serving food to us, he was very polite and good with the service

Went for Dine in. Please do not eat Punjabi Thali. It’s so bad in taste and paneer sabzi taste was like cooked before 3-4 days. When we complain about it, the owner was not even apologized and also didn’t offer any discount just to make up too.

We were craving Indian chaat and this place was so authentic and delicious street food. Large variety and everything is delicious.

Simply perfect. They made me remembered the same taste what I use to have in India.

I have tried couple other places where one gets Indian cuisine. I don't leave alot of reviews, but had such a great experience I felt compelled to! The food was delicious and our servers were so sweet and attentive.

Neat and clean, best place to eat indian food/ snacks. Ordered bahubali sandwich comes with fries on side. Quality and quantity is 10/10

If you are looking to try out Indian street food, look no further. We tried pav bhaji,
vada pav and pani puri. All the three items were tasty. The quantity is sufficient. Value for money. Will visit again.

Had dinner here on a Monday night. It wasn't too busy, but the service was outstanding. Felt very welcome. The food was good, made fresh to order and did not take long to come out. My only issue was the amount of waste from plastic utensils and cups, but otherwise very good all around and would eat here again.

So glad we have Honest in Ajax now and guess what they didn’t disappoint.

Ordered regular PavBhaji and Honest Special PavBhaji- and the Bhaji was on point! Love the Indian street style Tawa PavBhaji flavours it had got.
Honest Special is topped with dry fruits and it tastes great! Please note, their menu doesn’t mention dry fruits and it says bhaji made with special spices so it was bit confusing on that part when we got the dish loaded with dry fruits. I would still prefer the regular over Honest Special.

Next item we had was the Dabang Dosa, and it looks like famous Jini Dosa. Love it and just to make a special note here, they use Amul Cheese! So loved even more.
We were disappointed with the Sambhar though, it had some weird stale taste and was watery, with very little vegetables.

They are yet going through establishing this location so you may find fewer options then any other location. You have to order and pay at the counter for the dine-in. Tables are considerably small for number of people and the place can get congested.

Overall good experience, definitely recommended.
