We live on an island and had an electrical problem with our wood electric furnace. Contacted Hoover Home Energy and they had technician at the Marina within a couple of hours. The technician diagnosed the problem to the main breaker and was able to make a temporary repair so that we could heat with wood. Hoover Home Energy provided us with the contact for an electrician to do the repair. Dan Cooper came out that evening and made all the necessary repairs. The service provided by Hoover Home Energy and Dan Cooper was excellent right from start to finish. Thank you Louise, Alex and Dan.

CO leakage problem diagnosed on an urgent basis and solution advised requiring a new furnace to replace previous unit past the end of its service life. Installation took place promptly with new efficient unit. Installation team was on time, friendly, polite, thorough and cleaned up afterwards.

Also inspected and cleaned my gas fireplace! Very respectful and professional! Will now get them every year!

Just look at the picture.this heater exhaust vent leaks more water than a colander, would not recommend, save your money and go somewhere else

My mom’s water heater started leaking at just before midnight on a Friday night. I messaged Hoover’s at about 4 am and the office manager phoned me at 8: 30 am. By 10: 30 am, 2 techs were on site installing a new unit. Hoover’s customer service is consistently exceptional, office staff are caring and friendly, and techs are skilled and professional. I highly recommend them. I have used them for years for furnace, AC and fireplace service and this is not the first time they have responded quickly to an emergency.

I love all my Napoleon equipment installed by Hoovers. I have 2 gas fireplaces, complete new furnace and air conditioning unit installed with all duct work and special separate heating and cooling equipment installed in separate room. Service required for one gas fireplace the other day was done by an excellent lady technician Louise who was obviously very knowledgeable and explained everything very carefully to me. Have dealt with this company before. They installed a furnace in a previous house 8 or 9 years ago. They were the first people we called when we needed one for our current home. Hoover was the only company of many we called at 5: 00pm on a Friday who responded. We had a severed propane line. Mark got us a new line quickly and delivered it personally. Greg the installer fixed the line outside in the cold and dark while remaining cheerful and friendly. Wow! Thanks to all.

The men worked to correct the problem and assured me that the problem was solved. I am sorry that this visit was needed. I hope that the next visit is next year when the furnace is cleaned.

Hired by my Daughter to install a hot water tank that has a load of 20 amps but initially used 14 gauge wire feeding a residential 15 amp rated switch. They didn't even ask what type of breaker panel was in the home and then told me they couldn't find a breaker. Nedco Cobourg is the SQD
Distributor and that was news to their parts person.
A one hour hook up by any electricians standard took us into another day to get service.
If there was an electrical permit taken out it wasn't on the quote.

We've used Hoover's since we moved into this house five years ago and have had only
positive experiences. The technicians are always pleasant and polite, and they take the time needed to diagnose the problems accurately. They are factual about the condition of our HVAC equipment and give us all the options regarding repair and replacement without any pressure. Today was no exception. Hoover's replaced a corroded conductor in the AC after showing us the faulty part and explaining its function. I believe their prices are in the middle range. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Hoover's Home Energy is a stand-up company, who really looks after there customers. I had two new chimney's installed due to old chimney deterioration from weather and time. Hoovers came the same day I called to evaluate a "No Heat" issue and evaluate the problem. Our Boiler was given a temporary fix while waiting for the part. The service technician returned the next day with the part and completed in short order. He was very thorough replacing an expansion tank and advised more maintenance info we were not aware of. No doubt with this info we will have no further issues. Dependable
