Howard Johnson Plaza by Wyndham Windsor

The room was very comfortable. Washroom was neat & clean. There is a small breakfast counter with a waffle maker, cereals, toast, boiled eggs, coffee machine, muffins, yogurt and fruits. The service staff were really nice and the front desk was very helpful in letting us know how to get around the place. They also extended our check out time by an hour upon request. Overall a very comfortable stay. The only problem we faced was that there were no places to grab a bite (except for a Tim Hortons next door) at a walking distance from this location. You need to hire a cab to get in or out of the place.

Absolute trash do not recommend staying here at all, disgusting rooms, sheets, fridge, carpets and walls.
Staff was unpleasant and seemed bothered with us, I have never had such a horrible experience with a hotel in all my life, do yourself a favour and DO NOT! Book a room here.

Nothing against the staff, they were efficient and pleasant enough. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Wyndham name. The hallways are dark and dank. The room was ajar when I arrived, very unnerving. The room smelled like old cigarette smoke. The shower bar was broken, the upper door lock was broken, the bathroom fan was caked with dust, paint was peeling off the doorframes. This was easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s in no way the staff’s fault. You could even tell that the cleaner had tried their best to freshen up the room, but this hotel needs to be bulldozed, not tidied up.

Worst night stay ever! Upon check in I waited almost 5 min for front desk person to come. She was lovely (the only highlight). Our second floor room was up outdated stairs. Hallways were dark with outdated carpets. Room was musty and carpet felt damp. Ripped curtains. Window seal broken. Oldest mini fridge I’ve ever seen. Fighting guests kept us up all night. We tried calling front desk but in room phone was broken. Used cellphone to call twice for assistance. Upon check out we were offered $20 off stay. One star is generous!

Nice rooms, good house keeping and okay break fast. Worth the price of 92 cad per night. Friendly staff we had a very good time. All day coffee if you are a coffee lover

The worst hotel I have ever seen, very bad receptionist, the rooms smell so bad that u can’t even breath inside them, bathroom walls have holes in them, the room pictures does not reflect the real and actual look of the rooms. Very deceiving, I do not recommend this place for anyone to stay at…

Very poor. Arrived with toddler to be told I wasn’t parked in the right spot so had to take him out in the rain or be towed.beware of timmies parking lot. Then heater wouldn’t work in room. Had to get toddler out of bed and change rooms at 10: 18pm since the room was ice cold. No hint of remorse from receptionist or discount to stay after troubles. Will never come back. I’ll spend an extra $20 to stay elsewhere…. I repeat do not stay here

Staff were friendly and polite. Overall, I’d say below average. Reason being, small stains on our sheets which looked like blood… they were replaced immediately but still kind of weird. I’d say proper price and you definitely get what you pay for.

Holes in the door frame of the bathroom.
Bathroom door hit the loose toliet seat everytime it was opened.
Shower doesn't drain properly, it became a bath very quickly.

If your looking for a quick stay and don't overly care what everything looks like, the Ho-Jo will do. Just don't think it's a 5 star place your staying at.

The places is not at all clean. The hotel room feels like horror film set with spider web and insects. The washroom door lock is not working and bathtub is filthy. There is no decent complementary breakfast. The breakfast are is very tiny and it is so dirty and you can not stand for having your breakfast. Not recommend even if you are staying for free.

Absolutely awful.had to initial that you won't make any noise. NO extra pillows or anything. Rooms are old dated and just yuck. People r smoking in the rooms and the front desk is awful. 1-10. DO NOT recommend

Nice place, nice rooms, nice staff. Stayed here multiple times. Hit and miss with the cleanliness. This time there was a booger/snot and coffee on the bath tub? Bathroom was pretty small! Also they took the ground connection out of the microwave plug so it would fit into a cheap extension cord. I would not dare use it when you could clearly see it was supposed to have a ground connector - and you can see the extension cord is only two prong. In pics - you can also see how they have a cord pulled tightly across the closet area… Inside of bathroom door does not look to be clean, also had to push door really hard to get it to latch/close. No working ventilation fan or even a switch for bathroom vent.

Been here a couple times and it was swell! No complaints about staff, front desk, etc.
Rooms are always very spacious and clean and cheap too! Don’t have to pay over $100 to get a nice big room and some privacy.
Would say be careful parking your car in the parking lot, lots of sketchy characters out there no connected to the hotel.

Rooms are a little dated But they keep it very clean and staff is super friendly there is no pets allowed. Very reasonably priced. Close to the casino and waterfront.

I'm just happy with the Fact that the hotel didn't charge me a single penny for canceling the stay at the very last moment due to my flight cancellation. Many 5 hotels are not giving 100% Refunds.so Thank you the hotel team for doing that.

Very clean and convenient location. Close to stores, free breakfast but no vegan/gluten options besides fruit. No security guards. Funny note about this place is there are a million exits so try not to get lost.

Not a good experience bed was not clean fond hair in bed toilet was small and dirty shower tap was broken washbasin tap was broken door lock was not in good condition all over rooms was not at all rentable or stay able

Rooms smell very musty, there are no fans in the bathroom so when the fabric shower curtains get wet they stay wet and create an unpleasant odour.

There was infant cribs advertised on their website but upon arrival the staff didn’t know where the cribs where or if they even had any, so my baby had to sleep in bed with us which is quite unsafe.

Thankfully there was a variety of restaurants within walking distance though, considering the restaurant advertised has since shut down and hasn’t been updated to say so on their amenities list.

I was pleased with how friendly the cleaning staff was however, they are extremely polite and stopped to have a nice chit chat when they brought new towels, it’s really nice to see such happy people especially when room service can be a very mundane and tedious task day in day out.

All in all if you’re just here for a couple nights it’ll work, especially with the pricing and the free breakfast (waffles, fruits, muffins, bagels/toast and yoghurt)

If you’re gonna be staying all week though perhaps find something that doesn’t smell so bad haha, honestly. No fans in the bathrooms coupled with fabric shower curtains is a recipe for stink, mildew and mold.

Was in the king suite. Great service, nice clean room with jacuzzi. Smaller breakfast area, and needed more TV channels but otherwise great stay, would stay here again

I stayed in this hotel for 21 days and that was Good but was not so clean, good staff but the house keeping wasn't clean enough

Room has a musty smell to it, place could use some tlc and be careful with the vending machine it might not have the drinks in stock and won't give change back. The walls seem thin because I could hear conversations in the next room in the bathroom and people going up and down the stairs in bedroom.

Other then that the service was great and the stuff were friendly. The breakfast is also good. It isn't a riverside hotel but there are a lot of restaurants and stores nearby.

Saw a friend there and check out accommodation price is pretty good but they want a $200 deposit which is a little Rich for alot of people
