Struggled with debt since forever. This was compounded over the years by 3 significant relationship endings. Past the age 50, had more than $35,00 in consumer debt and was never going to get that paid off. Was giving creditors $1,100/mth in payments, then borrowed some of it back for living expenses. It took 6 mths to decide to make an appointment and then another 2 mths to decide to move forward with a consumer proposal. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I COULD HAVE MADE. Brendan was very helpful and kind. Shannon was amazing and supportive. My last meeting (2nd credit counselling session) was with Maureen and she and I had great discussions as we covered many areas of areas of personal finance which left me with tons of optimism. Everything has changed for me, for the better. I should have done this years ago.

I had been struggling with debt since 2017 when my Husband and I separated~ I was able to keep up until I retired and my income was substantially lower. I researched and read every article that I could find on what I could do~~ After all my research with the various companies offering to help with debt relief, I decided to speak with the people at Hoyes, Michalos in St Catharines, everything was explained to me in language that I could understand and the various options were presented at the first meeting. They are all wonderful and made me feel very comfortable instead of embarrassed. I decided to go with a Consumer Proposal and they did everything for me~~ I will be paying it for 5 years but it is only one third of what I owed, so at the end of it I will have paid my creditors something and I will then be debt free~~ I can never Thank them enough

I just wanted to say I was in debt up to my ears and was so distraught and couldn't sleep because of worrying about on how I'm going to pay We I went online from taking a friends advice and he told me what to do i came across this company online so i thought i would give them a try, made an appt. Went to see them talk with the reception which set up to see the trusty I found myself relaxed and able to talk with them and had the ball rolling
They helped me a lot got a big weight of my shoulders and the amount to my creditors was reasonable and I was much happier.
I would recommend this company to anyone who needs help with their debt They got qhat I need and all the garnishment if my income was gone and I can keep my house a little longer
