We didn't know about a consumer proposal until we read about it on one of Hoyes, Michalos & Assoc.websites. If you want to be treated with dignity and not made feel you're a bad/unresponsible person speak with one of the team members. With us it is Mark - a fabulous person. He explains everything so we understand. He's so kind and knowledgeable. We are happy now that we have a structured plan to deal with our finances. We are working towards paying off our debt with an amount that fits our budget. And we can call anytime if questions arise. So if anyone needs debt free help we can't stress enough to get help from Hoyes, Michalos & Assoc.

A very relaxed, non judgmental initial interview laying out the appropriate action for my circumstance. Follow-up visits reinforced the feeling of being respected and being able to discuss the process and report filings in a very cordial, informative environment. Definitely, it has been a very pleasurable experience so far, as I continue to deal with the reality of having to file for bankruptcy.

Was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the service I received. There was no accommodation for a rotating factory shift and it took twice the amount of time to even just get an appointment. When I did get an appointment, I received a condescending tone throughout the meeting. Disappointed in this regard, I had my mother call back so we could get my file of sensitive information back that included creditor, income, and banking info, among others to take our business elsewhere. When I got there, the file was sitting on the front desk in a public area with no supervision. I was in the office, had my file, and was at the front door before anyone came to greet me. Someone could’ve very easily came in to take my file and made off with it before they did anything.

I would not recommend Hoyes and Michalos, as they clearly don’t care about customer service or customer confidentiality of sensitive information.
