Absolutely slow service.
Waited over and hour just to recieve my refund.
Unable to answer all of my questions.

Updated - due to rising costs and a couple of customer service issues I've moved to another accounting company, I find I'm happier with the service and speed.

Original - I've been seeing Jenny L for the last several years to have my taxes prepared - and I have no intention of changing this tradition. The service is exceptional, and it's always pleasant to sit with her - which is especially noteworthy as we're doing my taxes (not traditionally the most fun activity). They were clearly busy - appointments, walk-ins and phone calls - but I did not feel rushed or hurried. I do recommend booking an appointment - which can be done in person, by phone or online - I'm already booked in for next year.

The receptionist hung up on me when I was calling 15 mins after they opened. When I called back she finally answered saying she was busy cleaning? When I asked for an available appointment she kept deflecting to her co-worker who wasn't in until 12: 30. Very lazy and rude woman, avoiding her job at all costs. I scheduled with a location further from me with better service.

I booked an appointment online for 2 pm on april 6th 2022 during my lunch break given it was only for 1 hour. Jenny Leung, Tax expert was still with a client when I arrived. Receptionist said that she’ll take 15 more minutes, I went back to my car and had my lunch and came back after 20 minutes at 2: 20 pm and Jenny was still with a client and said I’ll be finishing in 5 minutes and I said I’m on lunch break, would we have enough time? She replies that depends how complicated your situation is. I was shhh. She got free at 2: 35 pm, invited me in her office and we were about to start the process, she says “YOU ARE VERY IMPATIENT”. Despite of apologizing for 30 extra minutes she took with another client; she’s coming at me like that. Very bad experience, doesn’t know how to talk to the client. Poor customer service levels, it was my 1st and last time with H&R block. Pathetic service & undertrained staff on conversation skills.

If possible, provide coaching to the staff. Value people’s time and if not, apologize.

Barbara was exceptional! I finally understand more about how to set up my business taxes. Barbara has so much great advice and information, but most important she was friendly and approachable. I never felt like my questions were stupid or that I was wasting Barbara's time. I always felt Barbara had my best interest at hand. A true joy and so professional!

Booked an evening appointment, got a sms confirmation but next morning received a call letting me know that they didn't have the time for new customers. I passed by the office in the evening which was deserted. Am thankful to them for the call though, since it shows their level of service. In the end, went to a different tax provider who was more than willing to answer my questions and file my taxes. H&R block.this is how you lose customers.

I spoke with Lisa Gittens and she was absolutely wonderful! She took the time to explain every detail to me and was very patient with all my questions. She explained things so clearly, and she was the first tax expert to break things down to me in such a simple way. She also remained very pleasant the entire time. Everyone else I spoke to was trying to rush me and spoke aggressively to me, but Lisa was so nice and polite. I was so lucky to have ended up with her and highly recommend working with Lisa!

Waited for a hour to be told to just leave it Asked for another location and was told they wanted to do my taxes instead of referring me to another h & r so I left in good faith called later in day was told it wasn’t done called next day to be told they check if it was done and call back later to much hassle for a “instant” cash back.

Ramune did an excellent job, she was very patient, kind and helpful.

I really appreciate her knowledge and professionalism.

It is seriously very hard to find overall good help with excellence now adays and I am very thankful that I was able too.

Honestly one of the worst locations concerning time, took 3 hours when I was the next person waiting to be helped! Workers are nice though, I will give them that.
