Hratch Armenious Violin Maker

Today I met Hratch they are such wonderful and amazing people made me feel right at home and very comfortable I wish I had more time to stay and chat hour and a half was not enough I felt lol but I had to go back. I drove from Barrie and did not want to get stuck in traffic and I am so glad that I made that trip. Thank you Hratch for your expert knowledge and advice. I will definitely will be coming back for all my violin needs.

Hratch has repaired many of my vintage violins. All excellent work. Highly recommended. Extremely knowledgeable on all things violin. Explains all the details. Very fair pricing. The place is a house where they live, when we left ， the woman took very serious use wiper to wipe the everywhere ，and second time we picked up the thing, we didn’t even go inside and touch the doorknob, and the woman wipe the doorknob again. If they scare about virus, they don’t need to ask people go inside, The man is very rude，never ever go again.

The first time he fixed my cello there was no issues. This time I just wanted to adjust the action. The moment I mentioned that I saw some measurements online they were offended and he spoke to me disrespectfully attacking my character!
Whether if it's cultural difference or not, I don't think this is okay. If they wanna give service to people they need to understand being respectful matters a lot.

I love this shop. I have been going to Mr. Armrenious for over 20 years. He is always kind, helpful and full of knowledge of the violin. He is very generous to my violin students. Once, one of my students dropped his violin 2 days before the recital, Mr Armrenious fixed it within a day and the fee was a fraction of other shops in Toronto.
I also go to him for bow rehairs.

I went there for help of tuning the violin, the owner did it free of charge and showed me the tips. I can tell his passion to the music instruments.

The Gepetto of violins, viola and cellos.experimented professional honest and so nice. Mr Armenious is a great artist, gives good advice too. He restored my violin and I m so satisfied. A work shop to visit, artists to discover, father and son.

Honest and really helpful. He is so passionate in what he does and really takes his time to do his best!

Hratch clearly takes pride in his work and loves what he does. My wife has a very old violin which required repair and new strings. He understands that the instruments can be quite personal and took the utmost care with the violin clearly explaining what his intentions were to repair it. He was able to repair it quite fast with extremely fair prices. We will be definitely be returning if we require anything else.

As other reviews mention, he runs his shop out of his house (no sign) so contacting him or his wife by phone first is recommended to make sure they are home and available. They are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!
