I would give a zero but that is not an option. Scheduled two appointments to open accounts showed up with my kids and they are no shows manager says she is too busy to speak with us and would have to reschedule. Sorry you list the opportunity to do business with us.

Extremely friendly staff. Visited branch to enquire about accounts and bonus offers. Premium Banker Jasmine Sayed was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and polite. She explained me about the products and the bonus offers in full detail. I was very satisfied with the kind of service I have received from her. Nice and big branch. Initially I was hesitant to open up an account in HSBC as it is not the regular Canadian bank but the kind of service I have recieved from the staff is much better then my regular bank which is CIBC. I would recommend all my friends to open up an account in HSBC and particularly meet Jasmine Sayed in downsview branch as she is an asset to the bank.

First the bank's online scheduled an appointment for me on Aug. 3 at 10am, which is a holiday. On Aug. 4 I went to the bank and was told that it was closed on Aug. 3. The counter staff made an appointment for me on Aug. 11 at 10am. Both appointments were with Jasmine Sayed. On Aug. 11 at 10am I arrived on the dot and only to find out that Jasmine was with another client. I questioned her about our appointment and she replied rudely that she doesn't have an appointment with me. She went to the counter staff, which also confirmed my appointment. Jasmine told her that there's no way that she could see me that day and didn't even apologize to me. I simply told the counter staff that I'll take my business elsewhere. The counter staff was very apologetic and told me to wait while she tries to get another person to assist me. She managed to get Maggie Fu at York Mills branch to see me almost immediately. I strongly feel that Jasmine should be taught some manners or be reassigned to other departments or terminated as she lacks customer service.

I recently applied for a mortgage pre-approval here with a "Premium Banker" who then forwarded my details to their mortgage specialist (s). I eventually got a call from the specialist about the pre-approval and never received any paperwork about the offer I had been given. I emailed the "Premium Banker" to follow up on the documentation of the pre-approval for about a week and didn't receive any response. Who would have thought you had to chase a bank to give them your money?

If there was a rating to give 0 stars, I would love to. Service is horrible. Great service to high net worth customers, but really bad service to regular working class. Can't even have a decent conversation with an associate without asking you irrelevant personal questions. Also, my mom has had bad experiences with this location. Tried to open a joint account, and yet again they ask COMPLETELY irrelevant personal questions. HORRIBLE! Just bad.

Very, very bad place I have ever seen! Very, very bad service I have ever met!
My husband was going to open business account and he was refused because he has low credit score. So I need to have high score to open accout in bank now? ! The service was bad! When we came to bank the manager even did not prepare document. The stuff was very rude. Go away from such places!

Bank only cares about high net worth individuals and customer service is based on that. It's not for the working class. Avoid by all means. Choose TD or Rbc instead.

First time I was refused to do transaction in an HSBC branch in the whole world. Went to update signatory for business banking and was told to come back some other day by the premium banker since I do not have an appointment and she cannot accomodate me and the transaction will take time too much time, and just too much excuses like needing to fill the KYC form etc etc. (I was willing to wait until she finish her other appointments but she made it sound like it was not an option) and the Branch was empty to boot. Not what I was expecting, truly disappointed.

No Wonder Why This HSBC Bank Branch Got Five ***** Star Ratings!

I needed to get some important documents faxed to the Premier Credit Card Dispute Department and this Branch Made My Day Complete!

It would have taken much more time to go ahead and do this online through their website and coming to this Branch Really Was The Answer!

When I got to the branch earlier on today, I met with Cristina Nedelcu, HIFC Branch Manager who knew that I was very angry, upset and frustrated at having to come all the way to her branch just to do this, however, she was Very Patient and Understanding and did Not Give Up On Me as her Customer and stayed with ME during the Whole Process and was able to Print Out My Two (2) Documents that I emailed to her, Fax Them To The Credit Card Disputes Department and even Gave Me A Confirmation Page All Stapled Together With My Original Documents and Cover Page!

Now How Is That For Outstanding HSBC Bank Customer Service?

I want to personally Thank Cristina Nedelcu, HIFC Branch Manager for taking the time out of her day to assist and take care of ME as her customer back on Wednesday, January 10,2018.
