I lost my credit and debit card and asked to freeze them. I was given a temporary replacement debit card and it worked for one day. Then, my chequing account was frozen for no reason and I could not move money from that account.
Service at this branch is incredibly slow and an arbitrary half an hour is required for approval to unfreeze my account. Overall, the HSBC process for dealing with these kinds of issues is horrible and would recommend using other banks.

I would give 0 starĀ if there was an option. If you have other banking options, especially mortgage options, do not go to this branch. I've experienced the worst banking experience with this location. I have spent hours chasing something they had promised when opening up my chequing account here. As of now, I totally gave up asking for what they owed after one year of back and forth communication.

I would give a 0 if I could. Don't expect service of any sort. You will more than 30 min on the phone and the call back option takes one to two days. No one returns emails. Going in for appointments will leave you waiting up to half an hour with no explanation. It is constantly "under construction". A joke. Not a bank.

I had a horrible experience with them, the staff do not experienced enough, and it is very easy to make you wait an hour for nothing or just an answer. No. And when I ask the employee to speak to the manager they said you could not meet him because he had a call, he will call you when he finished his call and in the end no one calls! Awful service and no care about customer. (I came with appointment)

Bad experience. They closed my accounts without sending a notification. Now, they told me no way to access my mutual fund remotely. Try to find professional bank.

Took out a atv loan in 2011 finished paying it off in 2015.had a credit check done oct 2020 they have me in equifax for 5000. Payments were automatic withdrawals so I never missed a payment and was never late.

Finally reached an HSBC branch where in Canada that was super nice and I had to spend least time. The staff was very friendly and made it as quick as it could be!

Very bad or irresponsible costumer service
Been there for some credit card related issues but never solved after multiple attempts to contact them
Regretting being a customer of HSBC

Don't waste your time at this branch if you want to get a mortgage. The branch manager Patrick is polite but they cannot deliver any sort of customer service at all, and it seems that they are full of apologies. They are slow to return emails/calls if they do it at all. The agent I was assigned didn't speak English that well. Overall it's been painful experience in what is supposed to be a simple process.

Just updating me on my mortgage progress through email would have gone a long way, but I am completely in the dark. As stressful as the housing market is, you shouldn't feel the extra stress of not knowing how your mortgage application is going. I would recommend a broker that is focused on you and inspires confidence, rather than this branch.
