I dont normally write reviews but the customer service from the branch manager Derek Richardson was truly above and beyond. I came in a bit before closing and he stayed late calling the main office multiple times and having many frustrating conversions to make sure my issue was solved. I was really going to leave HSBC but thanks to him I have decided to keep my account

Horrible service. The teller passed some racist comments at me. Closing my bank account here and never coming back.

Great branch. I had a terrible experience at the Bay and Bloor branch with rude service and this branch couldn’t have been better.

The teller Tennyson was super helpful, friendly, thorough and they were able to get me the USD I was looking to withdraw.

I would definitely recommend anyone to use this branch.

Terrible experience. I had no follow-up when opening an account for 2 weeks. I reached out via email and tried calling with no success and this was all to open a new account. I can't imagine how much worse it would be if I was already stuck as a customer and needed service.

There should be no place for this terrible bank and this terrible branch in a civilized society.

I’ve been banking here for two years. I’m unsure whether this branch wants my business I follow them up so regularly. The tellers in particular are impatient and I often want to tell them they could get another job if they don’t like this one.

Why does HSBC even have this branch? The employees don’t even open the branch at 9am, hire some more competent employees who would open on time.

The branch and employees at 70 York St.are amazing. Wouldn’t waste my time anymore at this location although I live just right by this location.

THE worst bank worldwide. They have the most confusing online banking security identification process in Canada. The "code generator" on their app worked on the other day, but it stopped working again. I input the code generated on the app and the system just said it was wrong and locked my account after a few times. So I had to reset my password. I went through all the steps and the last step is to call their telephone banking. I called and they told me to go to a branch with two piece of ID. No other bank will require you to go to a branch just to reset password for online banking, even the other banks have way more branches in Toronto. There are only a handful of branches of HSBC and how dare they ask you to go to their branch to do anything.

Accidentally went in late for my appointment but Zahra was extremely understanding and helpful in setting up my account. She was wonderful to speak to and was informative and quick in preparing the materials needed to open my account. It was a very pleasant experience.

Service was good. They only have two desks for tellers so service can be slow. To be fair I don't expect much from actually needing to walk into a bank, I've never had "fast" service at a bank. But they handled my weird request quick enough and helped me out with some issues on my account I was unaware of.

Awesome bank and located in the heart of downtown Toronto. The architecture of this building is amazing.
