Went to the store located in the Eaton Center to look for a new Cologne. The staff there were extremely helpful and knowledgable. I spoke with a young Asian man who was closing yesterday and he definitely knew his stuff. I really appreciate the time he took to answer all my questions and help me pick a fragrance.
I would highly recommend visiting this store.

The purchase online WASN'T REFUNDED PROPERLY. They DEDUCED SEVERAL DOLLARS from each return. They may not even refund you even your tracking showing its returned. If you look at your bank statement, you will be shocked.

I bought a pair of KID UGG BOOTS few month ago. I instead got a pair of other size other style boots with other people's name tag on the parcel. I went to the store to return. The cashier call the manager, she came and told me, its THEIR FULT, but I CAN'T GET refund. What a joke. They finally agree on refund, but today I called customer service, its saying the funds wasn't being released.

Do not trust anymore.

Disappointed with service and staff.
The staff were all on their phones, you didn't know if they were working or shopping. I gathered a bunch of items over 600$ worth, and couldn't find a service area that was open for me to pay. I asked for a couple things and was passed on to another person to another to another person. I placed all my articles I was to buy on a counter and left. Waste of 3 hours finding what I wanted, to only not get them.sad.won't return to place that was once my favorite store.

I’ve spent $100’s of dollars at Hudson’s bay, whether it be in store or online. My most recent transaction has resulted in me vowing never to shop there again. Long story short - bought $400 worth of gift cards to use on a purchase, place the order end of Nov only for hbc to cancel my order 2 weeks later (mid dec). So now i am left without an item and with less than 2 weeks left before Christmas without a gift for my fiancé. Called their customer service to figure out why that happened and they couldn’t assist nor could i get a call back from any manager. I used to beleive in supporting HBC as they’re a canadian retailer but they’re like every other money hungry corporation out there.

Placed order online & they sent someone else order. Upon calling I was said to return near by store. Upon my request for the order they said thsy will investigate and send me some time later with no dates given.

They also hang up your calls when you explain the issue. Worst company I have shopped online & terrible experience during Holiday season.

Dont fall for this company & supervisor was not avalable for the call.

Pathetic experience & worst company to purchase anything

Purchased a few $100 worth of items. Didn’t have presidents discount card (25%) on me so came back next day to claim it with receipt. Didn’t expect the 50% off Christmas stuff to work, but even regular priced items were “capped” and couldn’t apply. Only 1 item worked ($8) … total waste. And false advertising on physical card, does not specify correctly what counts.

Always love to shop at The Bay. Very nice, high quality department store with so many products and brand names to choose from. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. Will go back to shop anytime.

Such a lovely experience at the Armani wall and with Josh at the Viktor and Rolf counter. Josh was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Helped me decide on a great fragrance for my sister for Christmas and made excellent recommendations based on scents she already has in her collection. Will be back!

Christmas decorations were beautiful and shopping was very enjoyable. It was quiet shopping at the Bay when I went there at noon yesterday. Always nice to shop Downtown at The Bay, Eaton Centre stores and THE PATH underground.

If you wanna taste the old-style shopping in a department store, go to any Hudson's Bay. And if you are lucky to come by before Xmas, the atmosphere is really cool. Enjoy it as it's still on the market!

Just went in to return an item. Long lineups and cumbersome process. If you return an item via return label that you bought online, they don't refund taxes. So had to go in the store

I love this place a lot because I can get everything what I want under one roof. My last visit to Chanel section was awesome. I felt very welcome and the guy in that department helped me a lot (his name start with T, May be Tiara sorry if I spelled name wrongly, forgive my memory?) But he is such a great person. I was looking for Chanel perfume for long time but that guy helped me to find the best one and I make my mind in minutes to buy the classic one after consulting with him.i really appreciate. Thanks again for welcoming me so warmly.

I go into The Bay weekly and have to say that this store has to be the worst when it comes to customer service. All it takes is a hi or a smile to make you feel welcome a store especially when the prices of things are over the top.
Don't get me wrong you can get a good deal if you wait for markdowns which I do these days.:) Got some great sweaters last week for $30.00 dollars each which was great, as they were $70 dollars each at reg price.
You think for a company that has been in business for as long as The Bay has they would get it that customer service is key to a business success. Acknowledge each customer it's that simple. Hi, can I help you. My name is, If you need anything let me know.

The store was well merchandised. It was great to see stores with customers and plenty of staff to assist customers. It was frustrating to see so many people not paying attention to COVID guidelines, many customers not giving any social distance and not wearing masks properly. I don't think I will return until after the holidays.

I used to love the Bay, but they are a mess. It takes over 20 minutes to make a return and that's only after having to go to 5 different counters to finally get someone to do their job. They all have a different excuse or will tell you to go to a particular department to make a return. Then after doing this multiple times I found out from one of the managers that all of the counters should be making returns for you regardless of the department the item belongs. Say good bye to customer service.

It was good, there were at lot of different options of clothing to choose from for every demographic. Not my type of place to go if you want to buy cars.

Men’s section upstairs is a complete mess. No workers on cash registers and the ones that are, seem extremely unhappy to be there. The back section of Levi’s, Nike, and Diesel seem to be almost completely staffed by people who have never worked in retail. Very disappointed and will not be returning anytime soon.

I think they are doing a good job to keep people safe and their environment clean. I like that branch. Diversity of their products is good, but could be better in my opinion.

Went a few days after it was allowed to reopen. Very organised, friendly staff, easy to get served and they had a lot more deals on that usual, which was great for me as I on this occasion I needed something cheaper than usual due to budget. I'm a regular shopper with the company, but this was my first time at this location and I'll be going back

DO NOT buy anything online from them, their IT team is awful.
I ordered a pair of shoes from them. First, they charged me but after one day I received an email about canceling me order! They canceled my order without any reason.
I called them and they put me on hold for 30 min, then they simply said that because that item is out of stock, we canceled the order.
The ridiculous thing is that still that item is available for shopping!

Went to buy a perfume, and after giving me 5 terrible samples warm and spicy perfumes as opposed to cool and summer ocean scents that I asked for they have the audacity to say “you’ve had enough” and stay aside not so subtly staring at me trying the scents I came to try, as if I’m going to steal a bottle?
Maybe tell your employees to chill out a little and not act like every spray is going out of their salary? Better yet, teach them how to tell a buyer apart from a non-buyer because I was the one teaching the assistant about perfumes and if I were her I’d be quiet and listen more to what the customer is asking for.

Went today in search of summer dresses. There were no lines, it was very clean, there were hardly any people, changing rooms were open, there were tons of deals and the staff was kind. Got some quality dresses (Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld.) so I am definitely a happy customer!

Very nice store, its very spacious enough room for my autistic son, Joey Yee Fai to run around. Most of the items are very pricy, so my ill Joey got mad seeing how expensive these items were and jumped on all their sofas! But at the end of the day we found a cheap hat perfect for my Fai shiu! Look how ill he is with that facial expression!

I bought 4 duvets by mistake, was trying to buy 2.i emailed to try to correct it, i called, reached the chat and they all said i can just cancel half the order when i show up. When i did they said "we can't do returns". They never left the store. So i told them i cant physically pick up 4 duvets and i only need 2 so they said ok you can take 2 but you must sign out for 4. So 2 duvets (I DONT NEED) are still in store and I lost a bunch of money.

Ordering from the Bay during the pandemic has been a nightmare. No one at customer service answers the phone, email, or chat. I still have no idea how curbside pick-up is working. So I took a risk and ordered from your website.and of course I was sent the wrong colour of an item. I don't understand how your business is operating.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I purchased a new bed from The Bay in December 2020. My credit card was immediately charged for the full amount of $2287.34. When my order finally arrived in February, one of the four sides of the bed was from a completely different model. It is now mid April and I have not yet received my replacement piece or any monetary compensation. I have had to call the Bay customer service on nearly 10 separate occasions. The staff does not care and is clearly reading from scripts.

For two months now half of my living room has been filled with pieces of bed while I’ve had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Plus, it’s a storage bed, so all of our clothes are still in bins.

On my last call I was finally told that I MAY be eligible for a maximum refund of $200 for all the inconvenience. I have yet to see a penny from the Bay. Furthermore the $200 is completely out of touch since it is not even 10% of the original purchase price. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. Save your money and a headache and shop somewhere else.

The decision for the Bay to remain open during this pandemic crisis is just sickening.

So I can shop here with hundreds of other people jam packed inside and little care to social distancing. But I can't shop at the mom and pop store right downstairs from me which gets 8 to 10 customers a day and can properly limit and do proper contact tracing. I will not shop here ever again, neither will our family.

If you call the store or the 1 800 number They will claim their top concern right now is Covid 19. So then why were they opened yesterday despite the province ordering everyone closed? I have been a loyal customer for years, I have purchased my mattresses and bedding from here, always. Until now. And it's pathetic not paying your rent, like you're some poor civilian that can't afford to pay it, Move over for Amazon Hudsons Bay. Your stores have begun the irreversible downward spiral into bankruptcy anyway, why else would you not pay rent, Trying to claim it's the landlord's fault that you had to close during covid. That it wasn't part of your agreement, pathetic. ‍️

They had amazing pricing for the Boxing Week sale, but the employees there were so pretentious and acted like they were far too busy to help me out and suggested I ask one of their peers instead. I guess that's just part of the Bay and Saks on Fifth Street's intended demeanor.

The store is so expansive, you can get lost before you know it! Thankfully it is well staffed and you can get as much help as you need. Something new to explore every day indeed and the fact it is open on holidays (and even has special holiday-exclusive offers) is a real bonus!

Loved the new decor for the holiday season felt very festive. Had lots of good sales on for Christmas shopping. Staff was helpful and attentive. Was a good spot for a one stop shop to avoid the crowds in the mall. Pretty much every brand for every room of your house under one roof.

This Bay is always well stocked with many options. Nice that it's accessible via the Path as I work in the financial district and the ability to take after lunch walks underground in the winter is amazing! They have done extensive renovations to this Bay location and it is a more than fitting flagship location.

I really like shopper at Hudson Bay, but only see nice kind and extremely friendly people in perfumes, cosmetics, make up area.if you shopper around.you will see few people and most of them are unfriendly.it's sad because before the minimum salary was increased, lots of people around help customers.

I had a VERY disappointing visit to the men's floor at the Hudson's Bay store, at the south end of the Eaton centre. I wanted to buy a winter coat, boots and a few other items. The winter coats I liked were mostly 40-50% wool, 40% polyester, 10% "other" fibres, so useless for the Canadian winter. None of them warm enough. The men's shoe store was pretty good. Overall as well, the choices were limited with the exception of Levi's and 2-3 others. But the selections on their website are EXCELLENT. The men's floor itself was BADLY organized, if at all. You couldn't tell where a particular store began or ended. There were a few exceptions e.g. Tommy Hilfiger, RL, Levi's etc. For me the worst and most impractical thing was that i would see a winter coat on a mannequin that i liked, but you could not find the product anywhere nearby. I am not about to go on a "search and seize" mission throughout the whole floor to look at the product more closely. I was there for about 40 minutes but i doubt if i am going back there. If the Bay management is trying to create a bazaar style feel, it sucked. The Bay can take some lessons from Macy's, Bloomingdale's etc. Or take some tips from bazaars in the middle east, India etc. At this rate, I wonder how long Bay will survive even though my experience was limited to the men's floor. To me it also looked like they need buyers with a better, broader perspective. For example i saw one tan shearling jacket. Had they more choices e.g. A proper genuine shearling bomber jacket e.g on Amazon.ca the brand name Brandslock of UK sells AMAZING genuine shearling bomber jackets If they had a few styles of these i would have bought one, if the price was appropriate.

I haven't been to this location in over 15 years and I will not be making that mistake again. This place is huge. They have a great selection and you're sure to find whatever you're looking for. As busy as it was, I was still able to find staff to ask a question.

My mother bought a sofa from this company and try to have them deliver it to her apartment on a certain date the company did not even try to contact her to let her know that they were not going to show up on that date we have to call ourselves to find out and when we ask for some type of compensation due to us having to waste our time waiting around for one whole day they said that first we have to accept the sofa and sign for it in order to get a compensation I let them know that I did not want to sign for this until we find out what kind of compensation we are going to get their response was you have to sign for it first
After the sofa was delivered we signed and we called back to get conversation they told us that all we can get is a gift card again this was told to us that we cannot get a conversation until we accept and sign for the sofa this was done so that we cannot do anything afterwards
In all very very bad service very horrible customer service elderly people I suggest you get someone younger and someone that knows how to speak English well to go ahead ordering something from this company otherwise be careful about what you're buying

I wanted this set of sheets for when I moved apartments and they helped me order them. I was waiting almost a month for them to arrive and then Hudson's Bay sent me an email that they had successfully processed my return. I didn't return them. I needed them.they were my sheets! Also, they were super pricey (a nice treat for myself which doesn't happen often) so I was incredibly alarmed when the money didn't show up in my account. I called their support line and have been on the phone with them for an hour. The woman had no idea where my money was or why the sheets were returned. I had to explain over and over again. She just kept saying things like, "I understand and I'm so sorry you feel this way. " My feelings had nothing to do with it. Finally she told me that I should wait two weeks to see if my money shows up in my account and then reorder them again. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she told me that her supervisors and managers are too busy and I should call back tomorrow and see if they aren't as busy. I just hung up while typing this message and have spent an entire hour on the phone wondering: 1) where is the item I purchased from them 2) where is my money 3) to whom do I complain about this? This is the worst and dumbest service I have ever received. It is ridiculous. It is obscene.

There's a very good reason to visit this iconic legend of a store. The Holiday windows are a draw for all but the FAO Swartz Store certainly draws on the tradition of Christmas. The lower concourse has shared digs with Sacks fifth Avenue and the eats are scrumptious. The scratch and win day's try your luck in getting the fifty percent discount. The question them becomes how to manage other item's in a timely manner with this discount.

Had the rudest employee there ever. She looked my friends and I up and down, and said in the rudest voice ever "the casual wear is on floor 3". We were in town for a work conference and were not dressed casually, so I can only assume she was judging us based on our age. I will never spend money at this location again

Excellent traditional Canadian retail store that is foreign owned but keeps its Canadian identity at this flagship store.
Still still selling clothes, home design, furniture, appliances (both large and small), electronics, toys, beauty products and personal grooming, perfumes and lots of selection for shoes. Plus restaurants on lower level.
Has a few in-store shops like Top Shop, Top Man, Clarines, Queen West and a Saks Fifth Avenue on multiple levels.
Many staff members who are very helpful but not pushy.
One of the only place in the city that sells clothing by Robert Graham, English Laundry, Karl Lagerfeld, Ted Baker, Lacoste, Hugo Boss, Levi's, Ralph Lauren and others all in one location.

A fantastic store. Would not be out of place in either New York City or Chicago. Tons of choice.love it. OK so it can be difficult at times to find sales staff, just like at familiar "junior" department stores out in the burbs.
