I had an issue with my watch wrist band, so I went to the watch repair booth at the Bay in White Oaks Mall. The gentleman there made the repairs quickly and at a reasonable price. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to deal with.
Update: this place looks like it's abandoned. Carpets are all stained, walls have cracks and marks and ceiling is falling. A lot of sections are empty or with only one item. Furniture (for sale) is broken or stained.
Found some really good bargains while there! Yes its fairly restricted due to covid (some change rooms are not open as of yet) but there is decent selection and I found what I needed.
Very poor customer service! Sorry but despite Covid issues you should have more staff to assist customers. I would have thought you would have prepared for reopening with staff available to help knowing that customers would be returning in person. Hardly anyone around on a Friday.
In October my wife bought me a watch for xmas at the Bay in the White Oaks mall in London Ont. It started to lose time the other day so i took it to their battery replacement dept.and they installed a new one. The watch continued to loose time so i grabbed my receipt and went back to the store to see what could be done about this today. The lady that looked after me not only exchanged the watch but because it was on sale at time of purchase she did not charge me the difference in price. Not only that she got me my money back on the new battery. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. THANK YOU
Do not order anything from Hudson's Bay. Please for your own sanity. They will send you the wrong thing acknowledge that they did then take 5 months to come to no resolution. Then make it seem like it is your fault and take no responsibility. I made a major furniture purchase and have had nothing but the run around and been treated very poorly. They will not correct their mistake. Their customer service is very very poor. They communicate very very poorly even with all sorts of notes explaining everything in their records. They will apologize that you as a customer was given wrong information by their employees. Worse experience ever. Please stay away from this company. Very disappointed with the lack of regard for customers and lack of support for them.
Selections alright, but the staff lack the necessary customer service skills and are downright rude. If you need help, don't bother asking anyone, they'll try to get rid of you as fast as possible. If you're able to order online, I'd recommend that or try the Masonville location, at least you'll be treated decently.
Lovely place, only when they've deemed you well off enough to shop there. I had never been asked if I needed help unless I came in carrying bags already, because I suppose they assume I don't have enough money to shop there because I am young looking?
Such a shame, because as soon as the staff realize you have money, they suddenly treat you like you're the best person ever. It's blatant discrimination by every single person I have encountered there.
Hudson Bay has prime product. Unfortunately it's very expensive. To the point where I feel like only rich people can buy from here. Good thing I'm rich.
I wish I had caught the names of the 2 sales people who helped me, because they were wonderful. I somewhat despise shopping, but I was on the hunt for a new pair of Winter boots (In January. I know it's laughable). The 2 sales people at the Bay were extremely helpful in pointing out to me different areas with boots that were on sale. And when I found a pair that I loved, (just not in my size), they searched online at another store and had them shipped to me. It was like a step back in time, where a sales person went out of their way to help you. Kind of refreshing.
You can find some great deals during their sales season. Brand men's suits can be found there for very reasonable prices (when they are on sale.naturally)
Not one shirt in my size! None! I have always been able to buy my shirts in dept stores. Apparently, not at HB. $550 CSD for a HB blanket! My grandparents and great grand parents raved about these blankets but I guess I will never be able to enjoy one myself. I work too hard for my money to spend that much on 1 blanket.
Different kids clothes but not a lot of sizes. The children's shoe section is VERY VERY tiny and disorganized. The shoes should be upstairs with the clothes.
A nice store that has seen better days. Furnishings have blemishes, changeroom carpet was poorly vacuumed. An investment in store image will enhance the shopping experience.
Too many sales displays in the aisles. Hard to get around with my son in his wheelchair. I have complained to a manager in the past but it falls on deaf ears. Sales more important than people!
I mean yeah, we found what we were looking for, and it was nearby. But the sheets were overpriced, it's hard to find a cashier (they're all "service desks") randomly located around the store. The perfume section is almost impossible not to pass and causes terrible migraines. All in all, it's a store that I go to when I'm desperate, and I can sometimes find what I need. But it's a messy, uncoordinated, overpriced boutique unworthy of being called a department store.
Disappointed with visit. End of season so store is trashed in some areas. Escalator not functioning. Is this store slated to close? You could think so.
I was at the store today to exchange two T-shirt’s. However the store was such a disaster I simply returned the the two I had and left. It looked like a huge rummage sale had taken place.
