My husband and I recently visited the store with our 2 month old. We were disappointed to discover that when my husband needed to change our child's diaper, the men's washroom did not have a changing table. My husband had to either wait for me to change the diaper in the women's washroom or to take the baby all the way to the food court in the middle of the mall.
This is a big miss for an antiquated company trying desperately to keep up with the times. My husband and I do not plan on returning to this location unless this gets corrected.
It is the Staff that make the difference! They have always been helpful and concerned for me as a customer! Only reason why I shop there! Christa and Rose at the Clinique counter were great and everyone in the Lingerie department is terrific!
The sales woman was very indifferent. It was as if I was disturbing her when I asked where something was. I decided to purchase it almost immediately but her attitude remained. I left feeling very unsatisfied.
We went into this Hudson’s bay and found a nice sweater but we went to four different cash registers and they were all closed. We found an employee (that didn’t look busy mind you) and asked where we can check out and she rudely said over there. Didn’t even point just essentially ignored us. Also we tried to redeem our bay points and apparently their system wouldn’t allow it. Likely because it’s from the 80s. Won’t be back.
Horrible customer service. The old lady in first floor in men clothing, cash area was very rude. She even disrespected me by using false language! I didn’t expected from bay to have arrogant employees. Never going to this location! Prefer to shop other stores in Bayshore than bay!
Browsing around the Clarins beauty counter, I had earphones in today, one of your beauty specialists for Estée Lauder (a blonde, older, Middle Eastern woman) comes up aggressively to tell me I’m clearly looking for something when I had relayed I didn’t need her assistance, 5 minutes before this interaction. I won’t purchase from a seller who is not genuinely connecting with me. I normally like going to the Bay since it’s much quieter than Sephora but I’ll definitely be going back to Sephora or even shop online as there’s such a gap in quality of customer service.
Good store but they've changed the return policy so make sure to save the original receipt otherwise you won't be able to return or exchange your items
Disappointed. Didn't make a purchase because couldn't find a cash to pay! Only two open with total 4 cashiers in the whole store and line ups were crazy. Waited 15 mins and weren't moving so gave up
On a Wednesday morning at store opening. I went out of my way to go shopping for a newly adopted baby. A joyful shopping spree, so I thought.
The children’s clothing section is completely in a disarray. Spread out on the lower level all with no organization what so ever. It was like I was walking into a Giant Tiger that was hit by a storm.
I expected MUCH more from The Bay. This department clearly does not have a supervisor or manager over seeing things.
I was so unimpressed I left, without purchases. The products and clothing I would have bought would have been quite substantial. I’m quite dissatisfied and disappointed.
I wanted to buy a dress shirt for my 80 year old husband who is not into slim fit shirts and not only could I not find anything anywhere but I couldn't find any staff member in the men's department. I recall being able to talk to someone about shirts, jackets and even dress socks but not now. I just don't belong in the order-on-line generation.
Hudson's Bay is a fine retailer, but employees in fragrances are not familiar with IFRA in Switzerland while I was astonished that sales associates in footwear knew nothing about a Last along with a Brannock Device. I worked for numerous retailers in the past while I attended all relevant seminars.
Thank you.awesome woman at the Dior counter, for making my headshot possible. You saved the day. You were so very helpful when I left home without my kit. I think you made some excellent colour choices when we were in a hurry (and I was wearing a mask).
Had amazing service in the watch department inside the Hudson's bay shopping centre at the "The Time Shop". Haba was fantastic I highly reccomend seeing her for watches
While the store was organized, one of the cashiers were quite rude and had an attitude. After telling a customer to go to another cash and form a line, a new customer arrived and was helped ahead of the customer who arrived first.
I like the bay and I got some good help at this one but they didn't have everything I needed. Didn't have any affordable suspenders left and also didn't have shoe spacers for shoes that were too big. But I still got some nice jeans and the customer service was great.
I went in to buy a spatula. Spent most of my time in a line of people doing online returns while trying to maximize their points cards. I get that buying online and returning to the store is common, but there really should be a dedicated till/cashier.
Hudson's Bay is one of the last department stores left in Canada. I do like shopping here when there are sales, which are many. The online presence is there too and I have used it quite often. It's well laid out in most circumstances and easy to find items with a little help from the knowledgeable staff on hand. In short, I do like Hudson's Bay and will keep going back.
Great brands! I enjoy the variety, the quality, customer service, ambience, everything about Hudson's Bay! The one in Toronto appears to have a larger variety but this is great too!
