This store is great for buying men's women's and kids clothing, jewelry, makeup and fragrance, housewares, and home goods. I find that they have pretty good sales with items available in stock. They will order items direct to your home if you cannot find it in the store.

How to keep people from shopping in your store. Make sure the speaker system doesn't work so I'll you can hear is the heat blasting or the white noise of the speaker. The place sounds abandoned

Its best place to buy watches and fragrance on Fridays. All staffs are very friendly and nice.

I would give it a negative star if that was possible. I am so disappointed in Hudson bay and never going to order or buy from there. I ordered an item and it did not fit when I went to the store to return they did not accept and asked me to mail the item to the brand store myself and I had to pay 26 CAD from my pocket. I should say when I ordered the item there was not any information about the return policy of this item which is coming from a third party!

Everyone is so helpful. I was looking for the correct place to get batteries put in my watch. The lady at the jewellery counter came all the way out to make sure i knew exactly where to go.

At the watch repair place the lady there was very professional and helpful. Has good communication skills.
I would highly recommend anyone who needs a watch repair or battery replacement to go to the Bay! The staff care.

I ordered shapewear from The Hudson’s Bay. They delivered the wrong item so I called and they reassured me the item would be correct the next time so I not only gave them the benefit of the doubt and reordered, but still had to pay for the shipping on my first order. The second order arrived with the wrong item again, leaving me to pay for shipping twice on two orders I don’t even want. Now (with these gas prices) I have to drive to The Bay to drop off these two packages to get my refund while still having to pay for the shipping of two items I don’t want or need. Absolutely awful experience and never will I ever again purchase anything from this company.

The employee “shelly” in the perfume section was phenomenal. We visited on April 12th at around 2pm. She spent so much time helping us find perfumes. At first, we walked in not knowing what we wanted at all. She took her time to try and understand exactly what we prefer in terms of scent type. Then, she made us smell almost everything and explained exactly what each perfume is like. We ended up buying perfumes that we absolutely loved because of her help.

In store shopping with help from an associate is much more pleasant and enjoyable than online shopping. The sales person at the jewelery counter helped me find just the right gifts this mother's day. Comparable prices and you can actually see the items before buying!

I will not be shopping at another Hudson's Bay again. Went in to buy shape wear for my upcoming engagement photos and when I asked for help after struggling to find anything in my size and shape, no Hudson Bay employee was willing to step up. It felt like I was inconveniencing the Hudson Bay employees and was told by a greeter that they didn't have enough bodies for someone to help me in person. When I walked up to cash, two ladies were closing the tills with 25 min left until close. Not impressed. Thankfully a rep from Hollister stayed with me until a manager FINALLY went through sizing with me in the underwear section, only to learn that Hudson Bay does not offer much in the way of plus sizing for women. I left frustrated, embarrassed and empty-handed when I was prepared to spend.

I really wanted to write a review about Shelly in the cologne section. She is super knowledgable and very nice. I've bought almost $400 worth of perfumes from her and the best part is that she actually remembers you. The last perfume I bought, I had no plans of buying but she introduced me to an amazing selection which I couldn't resist. She really knows her stuff!

Gave in to an employee inviting me to sign up for a card. Took too long. Senior employees should have stepped in when tech issues contributed to slow down. Missed my bus. Was surprised when it was all over to learn that I signed up for a credit card, when I thought it was a rewards card. I got a nice jacket though.

Just got new credit card, which was great. Linking with Hudson Bay Rewards was another story. We frankly gave up but thanks to cashier's perseverance we were able to link.
Wish that additional discount would be a 24- or 48-hour window instead of same day (we were there near closing time)

We got what we wanted and needed at the cosmetic counter. The young cashier/ sales person was very pleasantly helpful and professional. She took care of us with our purchase. Then pleasantly said I hope you ladies enjoy the rest of the day. We felt very confident with the help we received as we walked away.

If The Bay was competitively priced I would shop here all the time. Most the time the products are good 20 to 40% more. The bay trys to bring in customers by knocking down the price on sales but it's hard for busy people like me to keep track on sales so we don't end up shopping there.

Tbh.website not that great, keep getting links for items on sale but when you go to the site or physical location.they don't have any sizes in stick or can't find the said item. Not impressed.

The Bay has not changed in a long, long time. It carries good quality wares that are frequently way overpriced, but has solid sales when it's worth purchasing many things from here. Buying clothes from here is a massive pain, as things are sorted by designer rather than by purpose. But, again, there's some good quality items to be had, with patience.

Ever since the last lockdown was over I’d been meaning to get out and get some things I needed. I didn’t know there was another one coming, but lucky for me I made it over to Hudson’s Bay in Conestoga Mall the day before this new one started! I don’t usually post comments, but thinking back I felt I’d had an exceptionally great visit that day and why not mention it. I can say everyone who assisted me was very pleasant and helpful … I especially remember Sheila because she had helped me on my previous visit and couldn’t have done more to help me get what I needed. Also, a lovely young woman who was manning the outside entrance that afternoon helped get all my shopping out to the car … I don’t usually have that many bags!

Had a really difficult time trying to communicate with agents from the bay for my refund. It has been over a month, issue is still not resolved yet. Very disappointed.

Update: 6 months now, the bay still did not resolve my issue. Ended up communicating with my bank and reverse the payment.

Ordered lots of furniture (couch loveseat mattress boxsprings night stands head and foot board) on December 22 2020. Deliveries were scheduled as 4 different deliveries over 4 months for us to receive all items. Just received call today that the last shipment (couch and loveseat) that were to be here on Wednesday are now delayed for over 6 more weeks! To prepare for delivery we had all our furniture moved to the bsmt. HBC has had our money for the LR furniture for over 4 months and we have nothing to show except an empty room. They accepted a man's return of an open used cologne for $101.79 without the receipt right in front of me, while they don't accept returns without receipts anymore (effective today), and refused to accept my return off my wedding registry (aka proof of purchase) brand new with tags, without the receipt. Thanks Sheila and the other manager! Glad you appreciate my business!

I went here to look for some shoes. First, it took about 10 minutes to find someone to help me. Second, by the time I finally found someone to help me, they were less then enthusiastic, and seemed overall irritated and unwilling to help. The man finally brought over the shoes I wanted to try on, he never came back to ask how they fit. It wasn't even busy in the store. When he saw me taking them off, and getting ready to leave, he finally came over. I told him they were too big and he didn't offer to bring me a size down, he just packed them up and left. It was poor customer service. He didn't say "have a nice day" or anything; I was really unimpressed.

Even though they are going to close permanently, this iconic store is still worthy to visit and enjoy the discount shopping. Big selection of home necessities, shoes, clothing and other great deals.

I went to see some good fashion cloths, and was surprised to find Super Dry products. Expensive enough though, however very little variety to choose from. I would have liked to find more of those.
Also the other brands were not in a little bit of short supply, according to my tastes.
Did not understand why they discontinued the selling of Point Zero products.

Terrible. Problems upon problems.

I created a wedding registry online and went to this store to add items to the registry with my fiancee only to be told they couldn't find our registry. So, we reluctantly created a new one in the store with the sales associate. She was having system issues so we had to go to the self-serve computer in store to create a new one (which was exactly the same as the one online). It took 30 minutes just to get that set up. Next, we went around trying to scan things for our registry and were having issues with the scanner. So we went to a different sales associate who was completely rude and condescending. It was a terrible experience and we left two hours later feeling completely drained and annoyed. Luckily we saved our registry number so we could access it later and add things online.

We went to go find our registry online today, only to find that the registry cannot be found with their search tool. We also were unable to access it by logging in. At this point, we called HBC customer service line to get help. I hate thinking at this point we have spent hours of our time only to have to redo everything. When we finally get ahold of someone at HBC on the phone we are told that the registry is not activated and we would need to go to the store to activate it. You would think that the person we were assisted by when we went to the store would have

Not only this, but the person on the phone was completely incompetent. I actually felt sort of bad for him because he clearly was not trained well, or he was new.

There are some serious issues that need to be addressed with this company, otherwise I really don't see it surviving the modern age when there are so many other modern companies who are willing to do it better. Rude staff. Incompetent staff. Old technology that needs to be remodelled. Get with the modern day The Bay! You just lost a customer who could have brought you hundreds if not thousands of dollars of revenue.

I really wanted to give my guests the ability to shop in-store, but I really couldn't be bothered to waste any more of my life on trying to give a company money.

Surprisingly still going as a reputable company, even though there's little special about it that sets it apart from any other retailer. And seeing those ridiculous prices for Made in China quality, sets it 1 star. I'm a huge consumer in many products, namely clothing. But without any effort or hesitation, I have never purchased a single item from the Hudson's Bay company.

Clearance stuff is mixed in with regular. Sometimes a single item of the exact same objects will be on sale and the rest full price. IF you have the time to hunt you can get really good deals on items.

Went in for children's clothing. The area was a disaster and clothing was all mixed up. Very little selection. Promotions not well marked, and because everything was all mixed up very difficult to distinguish what was on promotion and for what price. No one in the section, and sizes very limited. Not a great choice for children's clothing at all.

Their shipping service is very very bad! I ordered two items, but they could not able to send those to the correct place. Once they told me, they lost all items, second time, they did not give any specific reason. They even did not let me know whats happening even though they always took our phone number. They use our phone number only for promotion which is really frustrating.

Very massy kids section. Its hard to find proper size for kids age. Very less organized and had bad experience with shipping too.
We shipped a dress from store to Montreal and did not receive within a month. Still they did not get it.even we asked for refund they said it will take more than a month. Which is unexpected!

No sales people to help out when in the fitting room, the carpet was very dirty and NOT nice to stand on, I was glad to leave the F/room. But I do like HudsonBay but not quite as good as it once was which is sad.

My recent experience at the Lancome counter was an extremely negative experience. Lisa, the older woman at this counter, was very dismissive and disrespectful when I made any inquiry. I have been a regular customer at this store but will never return to the Lancome counter if Lisa is working. Doesn't know how to apply makeup on herself as her makeup looks like a complete mess!

Personal have no idea, store chaos and manager has his shop not under control.
I looked for an item in internet and found that they have 4 in the store, in appliance department.
I asked the personal for the item, and he looked with me there where I was looking for it and the easy answer was, we do not have it.
I said, you have 4 cant you find it.took few minutes still has no idea how to search. I showed him on my phone, then he got the item online and went for search. After 10 min cam and said we do not have it.anyhow, it took me and hour through three people working there to figure out, still no chance.
I was waiting and waiting until I could not handle it and asked to talk to there manager, nothing, no one showed up. I did not got an apology.

Absolutely ridiculous, respect-less, this is not Canadian way of dealing with people.

Never any staff to assist with sizes, stuff thrown everywhere. Still running the worst sales watch for a price ending in 0.99 or no three packs on special.when there is a large savings there is one of the item available.sales associates are rude, unhelpful and according to the general manager of three locations they are on commission. I find that hard to believe.
