Sales associate are not helpful at all, I’ve asked to try on shoes at least three times and they were just pushing neo credit cards. I mean what kind of customer service is this. Train your employees better for goodness sakes, especially in this economy.
Do not go there axpecting good costumer service they will make you wait for 20min in the jewellery department then tell you to wait longer while they go and get water which takes another 5 to 10min and then another lady in the same department will yell at you for asking her for help. I will never go back to this location again and would never recommend anyone else to shop at this location
I'm a newcomer in Canada, and this is my first review in Canada. I wanted to rate 4 stars. However, I am reviewing with 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service provided by Mr. Jekobe. This is going to be my first winter, and thank you, Jekobe for helping me with my winter shopping on 30th Oct 2022. The shopping experience @Hudson's Bay was fantastic.
Always love the bay specially for perfumes. Today I bought 1 Million paco rabanne version. Just a little expensive but It’s pretty good tho. You can try it
The reviews that talk about "fraudulent sales" are unfortunately correct. Got an item from the table that said "25% off Cuisinart cookware" only to find out at checkout that "oh, sorry Sir, this is only for cookware sets" (so why did you put other stuff on that table and are misleading people?). The cashier pressed me to sign for a membership card with 15% discount (no thanks). The last time I shopped at Bay was around 2010, and they've made me painfully remember why.
I remember years ago when you walk into The Bay they were able to give samples. How you have to buy perfume to get samples. Now they make sets and put the samples in it instead of giving to us. We buy base on samples . We may not have money same day but after getting samples we go home try and come back. I wonder if the companies knows that? I didn’t go to that bay so the review is for all bay in General
I visited the eyewear department today to purchase glasses. Irina was very helpful and professional. She helped me to get the appropriate frame because the old one was broken. Thank you very much Irina I hope the Bay will hire more pleasant sales persons like you.
Hudson Bay is an okay store. Staff can be pushy and annoying sometimes. Usually it is not easy to find what we are looking for in this store. But the store is quite clean and looks organized

I visited this HBC for the first time on April 5th and it will surely be my last. I experienced the worst customer service I've seen in retail since the pandemic started, and to be honest - it's not a surprised that HBCs are closing everywhere.
When visiting the store earlier this week, I stopped by the jewelry department to look for a gift and I saw an associate there named Barbara. She was on her cell phone the entire time and instead of approaching me to ask me if I needed help, I had to go to her to ask her for help. When I finally spoke to her, she told me she was going to call someone else to come and help me. At first I said okay and patiently waited for someone to come, expecting her to step away from the area for a break or she was going to help another customer.
However, Barbara did neither of these things. She continued to stay in the jewelry section, completely glued to her cell phone and ignored me. This completely baffled me. Instead of helping me while I was in her section and she wasn't busy - she went and called someone else from who knows where.
There was absolutely no customer service, no assistance, no accountability, and for a company that's closing down their stores across Ontario - go figure that both the business and their service goes down the drain.
If you come here, proceed at your own risk - especially if you see Barbara around. You're better off ordering your items online to pick up at any other location.
Always clean and organized. Still finding lots of good deals and new seasonal products coming in already. Customer service was great today helping me find some products that had moved
This Hudson Bay is mediocre. They have very limited stock, and sell out of average sizes very quickly. The men's options are lacking. I find it very difficult to buy things for my husband here. Don't expect anything near to what the HBC at Eaton Centre has. This one at Eglinton Square Mall has aged and you can tell. I also have never found the cosmeticians particularly great. I prefer to by my fragrances and cosmetics at the Shoppers Drug Mart right beside. The girls there are so nice and helpful and also the PC optimum points are a better!
I had a great shopping experience in Bedding section. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Made me feel like coming back (even though I hate shopping really). I bought quite a bit and was even offered help carrying it all to my car:) but I’m too proud to accept and lugged it out myself. The security guard even offered to help too.
My only warning.beware accepting their Neo Financial credit card. I did only to get 20% off. Their service is the worst ever. 2 hrs on hold and finally hung up because no one answers, yet i heard 4 times “we’re just finishing up with a customer. ” B. S! Their statements take a while to show online, you have to go online to find it, no reminders, no mail, no emails. So you’re on your own to remember. Good trick to rack up interest! I cancelled it as a result. They don’t deserve my business.
Absolutely NO ONE ever answers the phone at any department or at customer service at any time. It even hung up on me as the phone rang more than 5 times at customer service one full hour before their stated website closing time. I called between 4: 55-5: 30pm. NO DEPARTMENT would pick up the phone.
I have always enjoyed shopping at the Bay at Yonge and Bloor! I was there a few weeks ago. I bought a beautiful dress, the price was so amazing! Sales people so helpful! There were not ample merchandise like before in the past years. This pandemic has affected so much.

Had to wait in line for more than 20 minutes to check out, at 4pm on a Wednesday. So, not exactly rush hour! The staff is super slow and they do not seem to care about the costumers' time. Every single register is facing problems serving people, one is having trouble with the payment machine, one is missing some key, and another is having a seemingly lovely chat with a costumer instead of processing their payment.
I had purchased a pair of very light jogging pants from the Bay a week ago and I really love them. Today is Friday and I was near this perticular Bay store and thought I'd go in to see if I could score me the Black version of the same pants. The store was busy and unfortunately I didn't find the black version but found an off grey one instead, Hooray! I went to go cash out and unfortunately there was a long line, however one of the cashiers was a Dinamo and was putting people through with excellent speed. I should have noticed her name so I could honour her here but I did tell her she was awesome and was doing a great job. Moral of the story, shop at this Bay store.
The store manager, Kal, who helped resolve an outstanding issue promptly and to our satisfaction, is absolutely exceptional. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Excellent customer service from his end. We appreciate your help, Kal.
Hudson's Bay is always my favorite store to a shop! Very clean, spacious store with great Covid safety protocols. Lots of new and sale items. Cashiers and staff are friendly. A bit too long and slow line-ups at checkouts.
The store is very large and they have done a good job with abiding the rules for the pandemic. The only problems I have is that I cannot seem to differentiate the employees from the customers, and the clothing sections can get a bit messy, so it can be hard to find a specific shirt or jacket in the size you want. Other than that, it is a good store to shop from.
Cashier lady didn’t confirm the amount of each item before I pay since they were on sale. She said she cannot review and also told me I should pay First then she can see the amount details of what I paid for. After I really paid by my credit card. She actually really made 2 mistakes and did a refund for the wrong amount items. Finally I paid again for the stuffs at the correct price. She doesn’t have enough training for the cashier machine how to operate. Her coworker argued with us said cannot do refund and pay again. Really that cashier lady was annoying for us. I was so angry about this
This is the worst Bay I have ever been in. It is outdated and run down. The sale items were out of season stuff on clearance that looked like they had been sitting in a warehouse for years. I was so disappointed and left without buying anything. The sales staff were excellent though. I did a return of some online items and the clerk upstairs was superb. I wanted to exchange but honestly they did not even carry half the stuff the other stores do. They really need to update this place.
I had good experiences before with them. Last week may 2021 I purchased a dress online one size up which came out very tight on me. Upon contacting they said it is not returnable, when I told them I can not even wear the dress which is 54cad! Sent one decent email to their customer care, no response. Horrible service. I would prefer buying stuff from the real sellers from now on.
Hudsons bay had very poor costumer service no respect to the costumers and I have been waiting 7 months just to get the furniture I order from online, they were just going around the topic and were not answering my question when will my furniture come, this is the first and last time I will ever shop on Hudson Bay, and I do not prefer this shop to anyone in Canada,
There's not really much of variety of men's clothing. The prices are just way to high. Sales don't really come by too often. It's hard to say when they will bring out better inventory.

Not a very organized Hudson's Bay location. Sometimes this location get to run special promotions that are not available in other Hudson's bay locations. The cosmetics counters ae rarely attended by staff. They don't carry much products there anyway. There are rows and rows of clothing that just hanging there without having a specific them in sizes, colors styles, age groups, etc. I use this place only if I wanted to exchange or return something I bought online.
Great store, but after seeing the way the manager Marlene was yelling at the employees to clean rather than help out customers is disgusting. Feel bad for the employees.

And these is where we run to, my husband and I, if we want some finer clothes for the family. Theres always some designer brand that's a steal. Our regular haul are those Designer bath towels which have the luxurious feel, soft to touch and those cozy pillows. Great quality and very good deal when they go up to 50 to 60 % off. I found this London Fog travel luggage or under seat bag with matching tote at 75% off and I'm excited to use it soon.
I ordered dozens of Christmas presents on line from the Bay this Christmas and only had to return one item The customer service rep named Milj was so rude. She acted like I was trying to return a stolen item. I had my Bay MasterCard my statement and order # I’ll never shop here again!
Not all bay stores r created equal.the bay in barrie is a great place.good quality merchandise great selection.bay at eglington square in toronto i do not feel the same way about.

I was getting very frustrated as all the snowsuit sizes for my daughter was either too big in size or sold out! And the prices at "The Bay" inside stc was way too expensive! I was loosing hope and was trying to figure out where else can I buy a snowsuit for her? I even looked online in which I normally don't like purchasing things that way and lost hope. And that's when I thought about going to "The Bay" at eglinton square. As soon as we entered the store I found her size as it was the last one too. The price was great too maybe because, it was 50% off but, I saved $135 exactly the need for me to buy my daugter her birthday gift also in preparation for her attending JK in September. I definitely was a happy satisfied customer. Thank you again to "The Bay" at eglinton square!
Never in my life have I ever been so disgusted by a store. The entire store is in disarray. Displays are trashed, tables are piled high with clothes thrown about. Not a single employee said "Hi" or "How can I help you? ". Having worked retail, I would be absolutely ashamed to work in this store knowing very well the other employees and management don't care about how the customers perceive their merchandise. I regret not taking any pictures to show corporate. I DONT NOW RECOMMEND SHOPPING AT A PLACE WHERE IT IS A HASSLE TO SHOP!
Was looking for a dress but the ladies dresses are disorganized at this location. Disappointed. All other departments in that store are much more organized.
Smaller Bay location attached to a local mall. This location has a good inventory and the same sales and prices as the other larger Bay stores. Easy access to other shops in the mall. Good parking for quick in and out.
Always a regular store experience no matter the location. Formal selection was limited for my daughter. Gave this location 3 stars because there was actually a representative who we could locate nearby and she was courteous and helpful.
Very Poor customer service, wanted to buy a fragrance from here and the employee was very rude, she was wearing a black head scarf and despite asking her nicely for some info, she told me to eff off indirectly. Wouldn't recommend shopping here.
Very poor experience. A simple shopping in the children section took ages to cash out. Staff were around and despite the only cashier asking for help over his radio, no one showed up. The staff refused to open the change room in the are. Likely in rush to close and go home, an hour before closing time. I don't recommend this location, very poor customer service, despite a relatively good selection.
