Hudson's Bay

Just a great visit. Having worked for Hudsons Bay, it was so great to get the wonderful service and products I could not find elswhere. The associate in ladies undergarments was so helpful, informative, and did not leave one customer unattended.

Pathetic example of a store. No handicap parking. Got lucky with a good spot that was open. Then get to doors and no handicap door opener. Struggling to get in with walker and door closing on me. Totally unacceptable. Do not shop here Hudson's Bay doesn't care about people.

Everything was over priced and there was nothing in there that I liked I ended up not buying anything just looking around Everything was picked over due to Christmas

Terrible customer service on a poorly made product. Sizing way off and wouldn’t even offer to exchange even after showing proof the pants were terribly made.

Parking available right off of Bayfield Drive to the front door. Very bright and clean. All displays extremely tidy. Prices well displayed. Bonus to have found a ****watch repairman**** on site who replaced batteries for me. Cosmeticians extremely friendly and offering free samples. A big store with lots of walking. Unfortunately no buggies to hold on to for support or to put your purchases in to walk around the big store. That would be a big help. I found a beautiful cotton long robe that was actually less expensive than one I had bought from here 10 years ago! I had lost my keys and customer service on the phone was more than helpful. They were more concerned than I was. I did find my keys and let them know and they were very thankful that I called them. That is excellent customer service. Although the prices there are higher, the quality and the service are excellent. I would watch for sales to buy what you need from here.

I use to love this store and shopped there regularly, also shopped online as they had good quality items, a lot of designer clothes (yes a bit pricey - but, sales make it worthwhile). I was there yesterday and they seem to have a third-party seller section now. A little disappointed however Jennifer in the bra section was awesome.

I was in the cosmetics area at Clinique the staff was knowledgeable and not pushy. Let me know what the specials were and that was it. I appreciated them finding what I needed.

I found the selection of Ladies Formal/Mother of Bride dresses to be almost non-existant. Very disappointed.

A lot of stuff in here, clothes galore, and everything else too but the prices I thought were very high.

Good store but very bare. Not much staff on the floor and so it was hard to find help. Also, it seemed like there wasnt a big selection of items.

Only 3 starts because it is a small store and not a big variety like in Vaughn or Yorkdale. They do their best to help displays are nice. Higher end products are closer to Toronto

Was my favorite store for clothing. Not sure who the buyer is in head office but not a fan anymore outdated and drap selection. Aisles are easy to walk in now that all the merchandise has stopped being piled up in them. Hope this continues post covid. The best thing about the store is the staff who are very helpful.

After a much needed renovation, the store looks great! Always fantastic, friendly service…that is what makes the difference. Great sales, a wide variety of name brand items but it’s the service that is top notch!

Very Clean store and the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately I got there close to closing time but the staff were still willing to help.

A tad expensive, but love this store. I'm not sure why they haven't considered/ experimented with a grocery section.

The Bay was always had good service. Have been using this store for many years.
But here's what happened.
I ordered a face cream for $ 74.
There are gifts on the website of the photograph, which are given if the order price is more than $ 65.
I specially ordered a face cream at this time because of a gift.
Today I receive a package, but there is no gift in it.
I opened website and I see there is gifts they are still on website.
I called to The Bay but was told that all the gifts were over.
I explain that they are on the site and no one deleted them, but they told me again that there is no gifts.
This is such a deception and I am very sorry that one of my favorite stores has ceased to be one.

Found a dress for my cousin's wedding. All staff was super nice and helpful. Didn't have to wait for any change rooms and all were well sanistized.

Sales staff seemed polite, felt awkward like I was being watched unfortunately by these older men that seemed like "security". There was a wide variety of options to choose from, even though I couldn't find what I went there to look for.

I was just at the counter to buy a watch. The sales person said OK let’s go have a look. We started walking over, another customer motion to her that he had changed his mind and now wanted to look at a watch. So she put me on hold to go help that guy. He stood there hemming and hawing over what he wanted to do. I stood around and waited for a bit I told the resource lady that I know the watch I would like to purchase, And she told me to wait. I’m not sure the qualifications needed to do the sales position at the bay, but typically you don’t drop a customer to help another customer. Obviously I’m gonna go buy the $200 watch elsewhere. Thanks for not much the bay. I don’t appreciate it.

Effie in the perfume/cologne department helped my husband and I find some fragrances. She was so incredibly helpful and wonderful. If anyone is looking for a new scent she is your lady! Thank you for the great experience.

Absolute thievery by The Bay. Ordered an item, they sent the wrong product. They then charge me $8 to ship it back and THEN the refund comes through minus the $8 and its a GIFT card! Please explain how this is even legal!

Nice collection of clothes. Some them are expensive but the people who can afford it does care about rates. The customer service is too good and will help you to find stuff and also they will help to get rid of confusion.

DO NOT USE THEIR GIFT REGISTRY. When you register somewhere you will often receive gift cards as a gift. The problem with gift cards from The Bay is that they don’t allow you to use more than 2 at a time for an online transaction. So if you want to get your transaction to $100 to get free shipping but you have a bunch of $25 and $50 gift cards you will be stuck using your credit card for part of the purchase and have to buy more items to use up your gift cards. You can go into the store and use more than 2 gift cards but this hasn’t always been an option during the pandemic and not all items are available in store.

The fragrance section is where I shop the most, Effie is the most sweetest person I ever met, she posecess an excellent customer service. Because of that this is my number one place to go shopping.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have no received my refund since January 6th. I have called 3 times and each time they say the will send my refund 10 days later, and still nothing. I have tried their online chat function and the chat was ended on me 3 times. I am throughly frustrated and will never be buying from this company every again.

Customer service has improved considerably since my last visit. Updated stock in line with the season. Updated sanitizers in compliance with Covid-19 prevention.

Welnt to get a lipstick from Mac and the sales associate was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I got what I needed in less than 5 minutes!

Afterwards, I went to purchase a pair of shoes and the sales associate again was so friendly and helpful. She even went to look for a half size for me without me asking, which I thought was very nice. Got the perfect shoes for a great price.

Went to exchange some jeans they had just what I wanted & a really nice lady opened up another cash so I didn't have to wait

My thoughts r not all hudsons bay stores r created equal.hudsons bay in barrie is bright, clean alive with good quality and great selection.the one in eglington sqaure is dark dreary and gives u the feeling of a store going bankrupt.just my opinion

The parking lot had been cleared to a point. There was not enough room between the rows. The car that was entering had to back up into the traffic to allow us to pass them. We went early so not to bad.

They have done of the best deals during their events check online or flyers before going to store

Love the Barrie Hudson's Bay. Big store, styles for everyone, lots of sales, and friendly staff.

One of the worst Hudson Bay stores I’ve visited. I understand it’s a big department store with high traffic but do the employees ever go through and clean up the mess at night? I can never find my size in anything. Product is never cleaned up or sized properly. The store looks like it is going out of business!

Lady in the store told me how to transfer my Hudson Bay points into.air miles. I bought one men's pair of pyjamas and Wonder woman's pair of pyjamas to complete the pairs for under $100 I'm Ralph Lauren with a gift receipt they can exchange or return them

It smelled like strong perfume through the entire store. The bathroom didnt, it was rundown and smelled awful. Couldnt find shoes or a dress, so I left. I wont be back.

The Bay in Barrie is one run down store. The product is fine enough but the business model of merchandise on shelves is old and tired. The Bay like to position itself as a higher end retailer but the store fixtures in this location look old and worn out.

I really want to support a Canadian business, but the realities of retiree pension income force me to bypass the higher quality goods here, even when they are on sale.

After a disastrous online experience trying to order a sofa, Nora came to the rescue. A csr at the Bay location in the North end of Barrie. She went above and beyond trying to make things right. Patient and polite while trying to complete my order. Good on HBC for keeping Nora around for 20 years. Employees like her are hard to come by. On a side note, HBC corporate offered some compensation of 10% off the order and apologized for my online experience. So thank for that. There is something to be said about talking to a human in store that you just don't get shopping on line.

Good selection of housewares and furniture and clothing and make up and shoes and different things.

Whiling I was bra shopping at the bay, I stood there waiting for the sales association at the cash stop talking to the other sales associate about an story rather than put through my sale. As another sale associate was helping another lady, she was able to finish with another customer then help me. I can understand the sales associate was helping another customer however this was not the case.

If you know what to search you will find deals if not well is good branded products although expensive
