Humber Bay Eye Care

I’m so surprised with the good reviews! Have been going here for a few years, initially they were very good and friendly, about 3 years ago I was going to buy some glasses there for $385. Happened to check the same frames at another store for $175… Since then their attitude changed completely, both the optometrist and the receptionist, to the point of being nasty. I’m taking my business somewhere else.

Met Dr. Lakhani for the first time yesterday for an eye exam and it was such a pleasant experience! She has excellent bedside manners and she takes the time to listen to your concerns and address them so thoroughly. I learned so much during my visit yesterday and really appreciated that she took the time to explain things in a way that's easy to understand, and even wrote down all her recommendations for me as well as emailed some instructions. Looking forward to my next visit already! The receptionist is also so kind and prompt. Thank you humber bay eye care!

Dr. Lakhani has been my doctor for several years and I always refer her to friends and family. If you are having any difficulty with your eyes and you can't seem to get a satisfactory answer from other doctors then you most definitely should make an appointment to see Dr. Lakhani.

Excellent optometry clinic. A nice clean environment with a good selection of glasses. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr Lakhani is very personable and works with integrity. I felt confident in her care.

AMAZING DOCTOR! She find a problem with my eyes I never knew about and sent me to the specialist. I am waiting to lazier surgery now.

Everything you could want. The exam was comprehensive, the price was fair, the service was excellent. Looking forward to getting lenses and frames from them in the future. Also they will order frames if they do not have the style/brand you want and will get you fitted.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Lakhani and her team. I am 63 and have been to many optometrist over my life time. She is the best, professional, kind and so knowledgeable. She saw me immediately when I was having pain after surgery. She took care of the pain and reassured me which reduced my stress significantly. I will always recommend her to my friends and family.

Friendly and knowledgeable Optometrist and support staff. I have visited twice and both times I have felt welcomed and comfortable. I highly recommend this Optometrist.

The Optometrist is brilliant and the staff will never be pushy over buying products from them only unlike other Optic shops. Which makes sense since we opt in for Optometrist check up and not for entering into marketing funnel. I have no plan to change my Optometrist in the near future

I highly recommend Dr. Lakhani, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole eye exam process a breeze. I haven't been to an optometrist in decades so I was a little bit nervous but everything went really well. She even wrote down some notes for me. Staff was even more amazing and pleasure to work with, will absolutely be going back!

I was very concerned about an eye condition, that I had developed, during Co-Vid 19. Doctor Lakhani, quickly recognized and diagnosed it. She gave me a detailed, effective and easy set of steps to follow. Although my internet research said it could take a month or more to clear up, her medical advice had the issue cleared up in a week. I am so grateful and highly recommend this Doctor!

I have been a client of Humber Bay Eye Care for about 7 years and when I move in February, I have absolutely no intent of finding a new Optometrist.

I called Humber Bay Eye Care as soon as they opened this morning as I had scratched my cornea overnight. As soon as I mentioned that over the phone, they asked me to come in right away and saw me within 5 minutes. Chrissy at the front desk was extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. Dr. Lakhani was thorough and took the time to answer my questions. I highly recommend going there.

Great ladies upfront! Super cheerful and knowledgeable. I didn't realize the importance of good quality eye drops and the staff made me feel like they really held my eye care health as top priority! Now I can see clearly in 20/20 ;)

Dr. Lakhani was knowledgable and passionate however she focused so much on selling me products that it stopped feeling like an optometrist appointment and more like a shopping trip. One of the first things we discussed was what she suggested for me to buy there.before she even gave me my prescription. Very eagar to sell and that turned me off entirely from buying there let alone going back.

Optometrist is friendly and professional, same with the rest of the staff. They have a great variety of designer frames to choose from and I am very happy with the service and products! They even remembered my name and what glasses I ordered when I came in. Will recommend to my friends and family.

Went for an exam first time. Exam was fine went as expected. Price for the exam was good loved the student discount. However was disappointed to come home to find my 2nd pair of glasses damaged after the receptionist fixed a lose screw on the frame. 1. She put in a screw that is way to big for the frame and She either must have tightened it to much as it cracked the eye glass or scratched the glass when putting in a new screw.shame. They also no longer fit right in my face. Very disappointed. Will not be going back sadly.

Dr Lakhani is professional and efficient. I was particularly impressed that she didn't try to sell me new eye glasses because my prescription had changed slightly, especially since they sell them on the same premises.

Dr. Lakhani is hands down the most compassionate, trusting, and professional optometrists I have ever dealt with. Thank you for all of your guidance and help with my stubborn eyes. Kudos to her staff as well - they are always approachable and helpful. If you are considering glasses, contacts, or an eye appointment - have full trust in this establishment.

I've gone to my fair share of Optical/Eye Care retailers in my life so I have a good idea of what services I should expect and when I know I'm provided with great service and expertise. Dr. Shala Lakhani is the Optometrist at Humber Bay Eye Care and she is excellent. She does a thorough check of your eyes and more importantly, she listens to what your preferences are and your lifestyle to help you choose the right customized solution for your eye glasses or contacts.

Every time I go there I am always seen on time or even ahead of time which is so appreciated. Their Customer Staff are amazing! So friendly as soon as you walk in and they always have a smile on their faces.

With respect to their products, they have the latest in new contacts and a very good selection of high end brand glasses for both men and women. For me, what was important was quality lenses, service and follow-up service if I had any issues. Glasses are not just for function. They are great at really helping you choose frames that suit your personality, face shape and your style. What I appreciated is that they will be frank on feedback and they want to make sure you are happy because glasses are an investment.

You are not going to get the cheapest prices here. If you want 2 for 1 etc.then best go to big box shops. For me, if my frames were not fitting right I could always just pop in and they would help for adjustments.

I would say they are like the Apple Store for Eye Glasses and Eye Health Care by providing top notch expert advice, amazing service and top quality products.
