I cannot emphasize this strongly enough! Please do not bring your pets to this hospital. My cat underwent neutering here, and he was administered an overdose of anesthesia. At the age of 7, he was perfectly healthy until the hands of these untrained professionals intervened. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

I was really lucky to find this hospital. They are excellent professionals, honest and the most important: human. My dog was really sick, and now she feels better than ever. I am absolutely grateful.

I brought my Sphynx cat, Raisin, to Humberwood Animal Hospital yesterday to have her fixed and I am extremely happy with the experience as Amora and Yara (Vet Nurses) were amazing and knowledgeable, I loved that they shown so much love to Raisin, specially after the surgery, the doctor who performed the surgery was very professional as the surgery was a success. Their prices are reasonable and affordable. Any pet under their care will be taken care with love as they demonstrated to Raisin, so I am highly recommending checking them out

I had to Euthinize my beloved cat today due to his rapidly decreasing health.

He was diagnosed with kidney failure last week and took a turn for the worse.

The staff here treated me with compassion throughout the entire process, from diagnosis, attempted treatment, and euthinization. I appreciate the support.

My both kitties were spayed last week. No complications, they were very active from the day one. They don’t push additional services on you. Prices are a little cheaper than in other vets.

I feel like this review is long overdue, but this is probably the most unprofessional animal hospital I've been to. I called to make general inquiries and was told they would call me back to follow up, but I was never contacted again. I understand they're busy and have more important matters to attend to, but please don't claim that you'll get back to someone, only to never call them back again. I wasted my time waiting for a reply from this place (even after calling multiple times), when I could have gone elsewhere, which I eventually did. If this is how they handle inquiries before someone brings their pet to be treated, I can only imagine how disorganized they would be when trying to get ahold of them for a serious matter regarding your beloved pets.

I took my puppy to get neutered and the experience was GREAT. The work was amazing, the incision was great and the people were so nice! I totally recommend this place for your dog!

Excellent service and really caring. Its affordable, the staff are knowledgable and honest. I did not feel pressured which has happened at other vets. We got our 2 year old 65lb goldendoodle neutered.

Don’t recommend bringing your dog here for a basic examination

Probably the worst animal hospital you could ever go to. Whatever you do please do no take your pet here as you will regret it. Do not get fooled by the cheap prices. Rather pay extra and go somewhere professional. If you ever come in contact with Dr. Sandhu just take your pet and run away, he makes tons of mistakes and lies to cover it up.

Took our dog ivy to see the doctor she had a cyst on her back once diagnosed the doctor but the surgery date even though they were heavily booked he made room for her he performed the surgery with the assistance of his staff upon picking her up we noticed that he did a fantastic job on suturing and removing that hideous growth on her back she is once again a happy dog causing chaos and destruction in our home but we love her anyways. Thank you for fixing our four-legged Quasimodo

I had such a positive experience getting my cat Anquan neutered here. All of the staff were polite and friendly. The care sheet was explained to me and given in a to go bag with my cats medicines.

Glad there is an affordable place to neuter in the GTA, that is also supplying excellent service. So grateful to have found them!

I have been going to Humberwood Animal Hospital since August last year. My experience was the worst! The receptionists are rude and inconsiderate. The vet was more into my personal life rather than my dog’s health. I felt very uncomfortable. My dog has allergies and he requires Hypoallergenic food. I ordered this food regularly from them but for the first time they wanted proof of his vaccine record. I mentioned that my dog had his vaccines just a few days ago from another vet and I would get his record sent to them. However, they still refused to order food for my dog. They made a huge scene on the phone about it. I think they were more annoyed at the fact that I did his yearly vaccines elsewhere. Humberwood would rather starve a dog just to see a vaccine record. I informed the other vet and they were shocked at Humberwood Animal Hospital’s practices. I do not recommend this vet practice to anyone!

They really deserve a zero. Reception is very unprofessional in their communication towards clients. They are not open to the public and client is made to wait outside and asked to “call every 5mins”. If you’re looking for poor treatment, unprofessionalism and to be ignored and placed on hold forever be sure to use this place.

In addition, I should have read the reviews for the place prior to even booking the consult. That alone speaks for itself. Save yourself and your pet potential issues and book elsewhere!

I’ve noticed this place’s response to bad reviews is “we are sorry…”. No. If you were sorry you would change your horrible customer service. There is none. Take a course, do some training, be professional. I’m in the health care field and am appalled by your behaviour.

If you’re sorry don’t be, be embarrassed by your lack of professionalism and give me my money back! ****BUYER BEWARE**** if you care for your pet do not bring them to this discount version (which really is expensive, I’m referring to their business practice) of a real Vet. Hard pass.

Staff are supportive, friendly, and caring. Very affordable. They obviously care very deeply for their animal patients as well as the owners.

This is not a low cost clinic And the doctor never let you get a word and I highly do not recommend this clinic and I would stay away from it if you can!

1st time here. Due to covid restrictions they aren't letting anyone inside, just the pet. The vet did come out and speak with me. He's very nice and addressed all my concerns. Other staff is also very nice and pleasant to speak with.

Took my cat here to get neutered. Great staff. Very kind, informative and helpful. All went well and my cat made a full recovery without issue. I will be continuing to take my cat here for check ups and booster shots. Highly recommend

Got my 8 month old cat Bubba neutered here. Staff were very kind. Answered all my questions pre and post operation. Lowest cost neuter I could find (under $400 for everything) with access to the TTC as I live downtown.

One note, I would order an Amazon cone pre op (or a soft cone from anywhere). My baby didn’t like the plastic cone.

I will bring my future pets here!

Best vet I have taken my dog to. They always call me for reminders. My dog is usually in and out and I love the quick service.

We would highly recommend Humberwood Animal Hospital. Our kittens were in need of being spayed & neutered, Humberwood staff was able to book them on the same day within one week! Every staff member I communicated with was super friendly and conducted phone conversations respectfully and efficiently.
Our kittens came back to us the same day and were both calm and relaxed, they recovered wonderfully.
Also, we found that they provided excellent overall care at the best pricing.

The entire team from techs to doctors were exceptionally kind! Very compassionate professionals! My two pets were treated here within a year of each other and I felt such a strong sense of comfort each time.unfortunately they ultimately passed.

WORST VET EVER. They are extremely unprofessional and unsafe with your pets - beware. I booked in for my puppy to get vaccinations and neutered.but after I picked him up they let me know that they forgot to do the vaccinations. When I let them know I wanted to do them somewhere else as I was no longer comfortable (they printed me off a certificate saying I got the rabies vaccinations even though they never did them and I felt they could be incompetent) they refused to return my money or accommodate me. They yelled at me, hung up the phone when I was trying to discuss a solution and were all around unprofessional. They told me the only option I had was to get the vaccinations done there or lose my money. Please do not take your pet here something horrible could happen to them

This animal hospital was amazing. We were camping and our puppy had an allergic reaction and they saw him right away and they even called the next day to make sure he was feeling better. I highly recommend

Our Puchi is a medium to large size female dog with some anxieties and very reluctant to strangers. We were worried when we brought her to the Humberwood Animal Hospital for vaccination and a surgery. Before the appointment date, the staff talked to us on the phone and guide us what we need to do, which was very helpful. On the day when we dropped her off here, the staff also shared in details (on the phone as we were not allowed to be inside due to the restriction) of what they would do and what we would need to do aftermath. They handled her fine and completed the job to our satisfaction. They are a very experienced team with good customer services. Thank you!

I literally can't imagine a more perfect place with better staff. They are truly a breath of fresh air in the Veterinary industry. I hope other businesses follow their lead.

Dr. Sandhu did my dog Sadie's spay and recently had to stich up an ulcer after her back surgery that was done at an emergency animal hospital. He was really nice and professional and took the time to speak to me after when I came to pick up my dog. He did amazing work for my dog Sadie and I'm comfortable with him and the staff.

I really appreciate that our new pup was seen the morning after we adopted him - thank you for fitting us in! Their covid measures for seeing pups is well managed - the Vet calls you while checking over your pet. Staff were fantastic and kind.

Not only did we get our dog spayed here but we also consult with the team whenever there is a scenario when our dog may need more medical attention than the usual check ups.

Our dog cut her paw on glass a couple months ago, similar to another reviewer, however we absolutely loved how the clinic handled it! We took her to our local spot (a different vet downtown) first since we thought she might need immediate medical attention. They cleaned it and prescribed her antibiotics and told us she needed stitches the following day. We called Humberwood Animal Hospital for a second opinion. After they saw many photos we took of her paw to determine the severity, Humberwood told us that even if she had stitches they would reopen immediately because she has to walk on it. They recommended that we leave her wound open to heal and get air, clean when needed, cover when going outside, and reduce her walking/time on foot. Instead of the wound healing in 2+ months time, she healed in two weeks!
In our case, stitches were totally useless and the natural method (plus antibiotics and proper hygiene) worked! We saved $900, added care time, and months of recovery - thanks to the Humberwood team!

My wife took our dog there as he wasn't eating anything. They were very unprofessional and did not feel like giving us an update. My wife who is very emotional was waiting for a response from the doctor (not sure if they are even doctors), but they were all just laughing around with no accountability at all. I am just glad my dog was okay, he's a well trained dog or he would've bit them all. Please save yourself some time and money and find a REAL vet. Also their prices have gone up by 50% due to INFLATION - that's right, that's exactly what they said.

I took my cat MILO for spay at HUMBERWOOD. There prices are very reasonable and staff is very knowledgeable and compassionate. MILO go back to normal routine next morning and incision heals very nicely. If you want good service for your pet at reasonable price go to Humberwood

Do not waste ur time here! They have horrible service, the staff member do not know how to communicate with customers…

I went to this clinic with my two dogs Bella and Romeo for annual vaccine. There price is very good as compared to Toronto clinics and you get appointment very quick and staff and doctor is very friendly. I recommend this clinic for your fur babies

We brought our cat here to get neutered about two weeks ago, from the beginning the staff was very friendly on the phone and their price was the cheapest we had found which was a plus. On the day of the surgery Rachel was very friendly and walked my husband through everything that would happen, I was a bit nervous because due to covid we couldn't meet the vet but they made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. After the surgery was done we got a call saying everything went smooth and we were able to get our cat, Rachel explained what to look out for and if we had any questions to email them right away. After the 5 days had past with our cat wearing the cone we weren't sure if he was able to take it off so I called the vet and again Rachel was super informative and friendly on the phone and asked me to send a picture to make sure his wound was healed, she called me back right away and gave me the ok to take off his cone and what to watch out for. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic and will be taking my pets here from now on! Thanks guys for taking such good care of my cat!

They were very helpful, reasonably priced and answered all my first time dog owner questions. Had my puppy back from neutering in under 3 hours.

We’ve taken our baby Astro to Dr. Sandhu & Rachel since we adopted him at 7 weeks and they have always been so kind, caring & accommodating. Even with the Covid-19 restrictions they completed our appt in less than 15 mins and made the process so smooth and easy thanks again guys! Stay safe!

Rachel was so helpful through the whole process of getting my two female kittens spayed. Booking was fast and easy, they were transparent about pricing/ cost breakdown. I had been nervous about the process during COVID but felt reassured by their good communication and care. Even though their belly hair hasn't grown back yet, their scars are nearly invisible. The staff here are so gentle and caring, and I never feel like I’m being pressured to spend a lot of money or get procedures and tests that aren’t necessary. The prices are very affordable and the office is always clean. I’m a big fan of this place.

Our pet Coco (bichon) received her spay surgery in this clinic few months ago. She went back to her normal self in less than 24 hours like she never had the surgery. She was good with her plastic cone for one week. In her second week, she started playing with her cone and trying to get out of it. She got out few times so I had to tighten the cone. After few months, I can’t even find the scar on her belly. The doctor did a very good job! I highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately had to bring my best friend to put to sleep today.

The receptionist and veterinarian are very kind, professional, and reliable. Since getting my female bison poo spayed at the hospital, I continue to take my dog to this hospital. They did a great job in making my dog and I feel comfortable and informed throughout the procedure. They have also micro-chipped her, and continue to give her annual shots. Even when I had my one doctor's appointment close by, followed by my dog's appointment at the hospital, they went above and beyond to ensure I was on time by having everything ready in advance. I have been to another clinic, and in comparison, I highly recommend this clinic.

From the first phone call-Rachel took care of everything. I was seeking a better price than the outrageous quotes I was getting from my local vet for Spay Neuter services.

Rachel booked a time for my Standard Poodle's Neutering on the spot, and even took care of calling my local vet to send over his vaccination history.

I showed up early-no problem. I met the Vet / Dr.and he made me feel very confident about the procedure. Everything went well! The price was almost HALF the quote of local downtown Toronto vets and the service was excellent.

My dog wouldn'T wear the plastic cone (he's insanely hyperactive and bucked and thrashed like a rodeo bronco-even on a leash in his crate- and managed to remove the (tight) plastic cone 4 times so I emailed the clinic for feedback. Rachel called me back immediately to advise and put aside a Kong blow up cone for me to pick up the next day.

Next day-took a bit of convincing to have them do a store exchange for the blow up cone (as Ernie had all but made the plastic cone unusable for resale) but they finally did the exchange and all was great.

NOTE for future visits: If your dog is likely to be difficult with a plastic cone, save yourself the trouble and just buy the Kong blowup cone on your first trip. More than worth the extra 8$.

I was extremely nervous about neutering our 1 year old cockapoo but Humberwood did everything to make sure we felt comfortable. The procedure was seamless, they kept us updated throughout the day and even let us hang out with him until he was ready to go home. I couldnt thank them enough! Our little guys incision healed so well and they are beyond fair for pricing. Our vet wanted triple the cost, which made me so mad, that I've decided to start bringing our dogs to Humberwood going forward. Thank you again Humberwood team!

Only gave it 1 star just so I can write the review personally not even 1 they gave me a price for neutering my puppy and when the surgery was finished they came up with a totally different price saying that that was the original price really un happy cause they charged me $150 more then what was talked about

This is my second time with Dr. Sandhu as a surgeon and is amazing. My second kitty is a boy (name is Wolfie) and we had to neuter him. All I have to say that my baby boy was up and running like crazy from the moment we bring him back after surgery.crazy.good. Dr Sandhu did a spectacular job aesthetically and my kitty is happy and playful as always. I am very happy that I chose this Dr.he is a true professional and his personal stuff the same. They definitely respected my requirements they are professionals, not pushy and best of all both my kitties are happy healthy and no problems. Thank you.

I had a friend that got his puppy spayed here so I decided to take my dog in. I have a boxer and any sort of anaesthesia is always a concern due to their short nozzle so needless to say I was very worried when I first went in.

Dr Sandhu answered all of my questions and was extremely attentive and thorough with the pre-surgery bloodwork. He even ordered additional testing to ensure Kygo would be in the best shape possible for surgery. The neutering went great, the incision spot was tiny and Kygo healed very quickly with no problems.

The facility is clean and the staff are very nice and care a lot about the animals. If you’re looking for a cost effective animal hospital you can trust, I strongly recommend Humberwood Animal Hospital!

Reasonable prices and top quality care. The staff were kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Our puppy’s spay surgery went so well. She’s healing great and her incision and stitches were done so well that she will likely barely have a scar.
