This place is awesome. The highest compliment is that my dog gets very excited every time she is back!

They were able to accommodate my puppy for boarding last minute. He enjoyed himself and was well taken care of!

In my recent experience with Hwy7 pet retreat, I was left stunned at the level of service that they provided. Even when special circumstances came out of the blue, they went above and beyond to accommodate and care for my feline friends. I am forever in their gratitude, top quality service, and real love for the animals that we put in their trust. Thank you once again to Pete, Courtney, and to everyone else at Hw7 Pet Retreat. Thank you for your kindness, understanding, and for upholding values that I would have never expected to experience at a pet hotel. I wish the best to all of of you, and I would recommend this service to anyone looking for short, or long term stays for their animal friends.

We are weekly regulars at Hwy 7 pet retreat, The staff and facilities are great. This is a pic of our girl Harley, …every Wednesday morning she waits at the front door to go play and this is every Wednesday evening after a day of play with her pup buds. Happy puppy

Had to go without our pup and we did a daycare day to try before the overnight stay and it was like dropping your child at daycare when they run In to play and don’t notice you’ve left or care…lol
Got an update and pictures on how she’s doing while away which also helped ease our worries.

We were hesitant to send our pup to a boarding facility after a bad experience at a previous place. Our dog was very anxious about being left but the staff at Hwy 7 are phenomenal. They are so patient and kind with her and send us photos and updates while we are away, which puts our mind at ease. She used to refuse to get out of the car upon our arrival and now excitedly jumps out and runs to the front door!

My Dog Annie just loves being there. She is treated very well and has lots of friends. Staff is very considerate and friendly

We have used Hwy7 Pet Retreat for many years now, for both boarding and daycare. They are fantastic and taking care of our fur babies, and keeping us updated on their activities and behaviours when we are away. They have been very flexible and helpful in the event we ran into delays for pickup, and their staff are very caring and always find positive things to say when we do arrive to take them home.

We recently had an issue with one of our pups who became ill the last night of his stay and needed treatment. The owner made sure to follow up a number of times to check on him and offer any assistance they could. Truly a fantastic facility with caring and loving owners and employees.

They are the best! Pete, Courteney and everyone in their staff are great - super responsive and caring. Whenever we have our dogs boarded with them, we receive updates with pictures throughout their stay. Our dogs absolutely love going to Hwy7.

I have brining my husky here and she is always excited when she knows where we are going and always happy when coming back as well. They always take care of her well. And keeps me updated as well.

My girl Maggie loves going to Hwy 7 Pet Retreat. As soon as we pull into the parking lot, she knows where she is and gets excited. When I pick her up, I know she's had a great day when she is quiet the whole ride home. The staff are wonderful and I am very comfortable leaving her in their capable hands.

We have trusted Hwy 7 Pet Retreat with our 8yr old Shepard mix several times, some long weekends, up to two weeks. Our pup is very sensitive and it’s hard to leave him. Each time we get back from our trip and pick up our pup, he’s relaxed, clean, and well fed and hydrated. It is such a great comfort to know Peter and the staff are there with our pup. I highly recommend Hwy 7 Pet Retreat. The entire experience is professional and organized and the staff clearly love our pup.

We boarded our cat at Hwy7 Pet Retreat over Christmas 2022 and it was a great experience. Chester Kattoo is a shy, slow starter and the staff confirmed with 2 emails and pictures that once he got comfortable he enjoyed in the playtime. The emails were awesome! When we picked him up I could tell he was a happy camper. Definitely will be back and definitely recommend.

Wonderful kennel for our beagle for a spot of staycation when we are away. We love getting email updates of his progress and playtime.

I wouldn’t recommend these people to anyone. They discriminate on certain kinds of dogs. Both our dogs are loving caring dogs but because they are American bulldogs we aren’t allowed to bring them here. Surprised we still live in a world where people discriminate on certain dog breeds. We were also going to be paying extra $ so that way they could both be together and around no other dogs so we didn’t have to deal with any issues if there could have been. Again, would strongly advise against these people. A dogs temper is in the way they’re brought up not the dog itself. Pathetic.

Best kennel ever! Husky got walks and yard time daily. Staff were amazing esp Couteney, Paulete, owner Peter. Adjusted for our emergency for her pick up. Her bath was done on gold level and she looks amazing! Courtney sent us pics about every 3 days to know she was great. Ate and drank and got plenty love on. I would highly recommend this kennel! For your pet too! Reasonable rates. Upstairs groomer Terri is great too.

Our cats go to Hwy7 Pet Retreat every year. We go on vacation and they go to the cat spa. Pippin and Cricket are homebody’s. They prefer their meals at home and sun tanning in their favourite chair. But the resort photos sent to me show very happy kitties. They pretend to be socially shy at home but are social butterflies at the resort.
The resort has very accommodating hours. That work around any schedule.
The staff and ownership of the resort are top notch. We are lucky to have such a great group supporting the pets of and around Carleton Place.
You are sent pictures and notes from your furry family members letting you know they are enjoying the resort. It’s cute.

These folks were very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful to us. It was our first kennel experience for our pup and she came away with great vibes and was super pooped.

The facility is clean and well managed, and the staff was awesome to deal with. They answered all of our questions and listened to our instructions for our dog. We will be back for sure, thank you!

The peace of mind Highway 7 Pet Retreat provides me when I travel bar none! The personalized/special attention dolled out to the pets is simply great! I know that Milly-Roc is extremely happy there and thoroughly enjoys his stay. We will keep coming back to the best pet boarding//retreat in town!

We bring our dog here whenever we visit family in Carleton Place. Our dog loves it here, be always pulls to explore and run inside. We love that they send you pictures of your dog! The staff are super friendly and the price is great!

I definitely recommend this kennel. Our dog Benny has had a couple sleepovers and daycare days here. The owners and staff were kind enough to send us some pics of Benny making some new friends in the yard. Everyone there are alway very polite, friendly and professional. Most importantly, we can tell that Benny really likes the staff when we come to pick him up.that says everything right there!
Thanks again Pete, Paulette and all staff who helped to make all Benny's stays there happy and enjoyable.

Amazing Staff! Like dropping off my children for the first time at Kindergarten was definitely emotional for me. My Logan is my Rock of Gibraltar in my world. When I picked him up I can see he had a wonderful time because of the Staff. Thank you for looking after my Logan and making it a wonderful time for him! You guys/girls Rock! See you all again soon. Silver my granddog came back from Hwy7 Pet Retreat after a day visit and grooming and she looked so good! Even she looked pleased and.more comfortable! Great job to the Hwy7 Pet Retreat and the groomer!

Clean facility and very friendly. We never have to worry about leaving our four legged family member. Courteney sent us updates with pictures, which we appreciate very much!

Hwy7 have taken great care of all of our dogs. They come back tired from the play and happy. Love that there is a grooming option too. We particularly enjoy getting an update or two when we are gone for longer stays.

We have been taking Rocky and Sebastian here for many years. Pete and his team always take exceptional care of them and always go above and beyond for their guests. Rocky always comes home tired and ready to sleep for days! They have a very nice facility and even send updates with pictures to you throughout your pet’s stay! I have nothing but positive feedback for this amazing team and I look forward to coming back for many more years.

Amazing customer service. Insanely friendly staff. Dealt with a girl named Sarah and she would always send me lovely emails updating me about my dog. Peter is probably the nicest guy you ever meet. They are a very honest and respectable company. Would definitely recommend.

We brought our 2 cats on short notice and they were well taken care of. Though happy to be home, they were in good spirits when we came back.

Always a good sign when our girl doesn't snub us for 3 days after coming home.

We have been taking our 6 year old pointer to highway 7 pet retreat since he was a puppy. Despite our dog's anxiety and high energy, Peter and his staff have always been incredibly accommodating and professional during all his stays. We cannot recommend this place enough.

We just moved from Toronto to Ottawa the past couple months. As stressful as that can be I am so happy with the care that our puppy Shadow has been given by Hwy 7 Pet Resort.
I really love their email updates and attached photos.
And to pick him up being so happy and clean was such a treat.
We will continue to use Hwy 7 Pet Resort for all our pet sitting needs.

We went camping and our dog got injured by another dog. We couldn't seperate them so we had to look for a place for our dog. Hwy7 took our dog short notice and cleqned her wounds. They also send us pictures of our dog the following day.

We bring our Samoyed here every Wednesday. He gets excited as soon as we get in the parking lot and is always happy when we pick him up. For our first daycare visit the staff provided us a mid-day update with some pictures and comments on how he was doing, which we really appreciated. It gives our pup some well needed space to socialize and get his energy out in the middle of the work when we are a little busier. The staff are always friendly and answer our questions we have about his stay. Any items we bring with him are always returned in excellent condition. The prices here are very reasonable as well. I recommend this place to anyone I meet looking for a safe trustworthy place to bring their pets.

Thank you Hwy7 Pet Retreat for taking such great care of our two cats while we were away. They made great efforts to get our diabetic cat to eat when she was being fussy, even contacting the vet for advice. They also had no issues keeping the cats an extra night on short notice. Highly recommend this facility.

My two anxious and grouchy cats have stayed at Hwy 7 twice now and both times I've been overwhelmed by the amount of care the staff have taken not only to care for Kaydance and George but for myself as well. I get very anxious leaving them as I know they don't do well being away from home. The staff provided e-mail updates with pictures to let me know they were doing well and despite being a little cranky the first day they did seem to slowly warm up to the staff which was amazing and completely unexpected based on their temperament. You can tell the staff truly cares about looking after each and every pet. I would not hesitate to board them here again. Thank you especially to Matt, Courtney, and Julia for letting me call and check up on my fur babies.
