My 3 year old daughter had a great time learning to skate. I’ve had her on ice before but wasn’t successful in getting her to skate by herself. After three lessons at Dream Academy she is talking steps on the ice all by herself. She can now chase after a pylon and has even tried to go backwards. I did pay for private lessons but I would note the classes were a good size. The instructors are so kind and patient that my daughter looks forward to skating. She loved it so much I’ve signed her up for the fall program. The office is also VERY helpful. I strongly encourage anyone interested in calling to discuss programs. They helped put my daughter in the correct skating class.

BUYER BEWARE, we were CHEATED of $1,200 because of Ice Dream’s pricing policy and lack of transparency.

My wife registered my two children for one-hour on ice lessons over the course of two weeks in July (2023). My daughter was registered for figure skating and my son for “learn to skate”. At the same time, there was also a special discounted promotion for 1/2 day campers. However, when observing the kids’ lessons, we noticed that they were put in the same program as the campers. We paid a premium of over $1,200 for the ice lessons. Now this is another important piece of information - WE WERE NEVER TOLD THAT OUR KIDS WOULD BE PARTICIPATING IN THE SAME PROGRAM AS SKATERS PAYING 1/2 THE AMOUNT WE PAID.

For my daughter, she didn’t receive any figure skating lessons until after my wife complained and started demanding for a refund. Additionally, the adjustment in her program was underwhelming and didn’t happen until the middle of the second week - pretty late in the game to learn and retain techniques.

After several correspondences, we received a refund of $71, falling well short of the hefty premium we paid. After several more correspondences, we’re not expecting anything more.

Normally, when you pay a hefty premium, you’d expect a higher standard of instruction. At the very least, it should’ve been made clear to my wife that she was paying more than what she should’ve or could’ve been paying (she spoke directly with the manager, Neda, during the registration process). How would someone know students and day campers would or could be grouped together without being told? I’ve dealt with many great sales people in the past and the best ones were honest and transparent about their pricing. Honesty instills trust, and trust leads to future business. Ice Dreams lost ours.

My 4 year old daughter attended the half-day summer camp for the first time this week and I must say that I am very happy! She had never been on the ice until this week and I was very worried/concerned on the first day that she would refuse to go on the ice. The coach for her camp, I believe her name was Noy (sorry if I spelled it wrong!), reassured me every day this week that my daughter was making progress. She was very patient telling me how the day went and what they worked on, etc. When I picked her up at the end of camp today, she showed us a video of the progress she made on the ice. After just one week, I was amazed! My daughter was skating on her own! I am super happy with the coach we got and hope to continue her skating lessons in the fall (ideally with the same coach:)

We enrolled with Ice Dreams Camp a few summers ago. My kids liked it so much we will be returning this year. Their skating skills improved so much in such a short amount of time. Thank you to the team.

If you’re in need of skating lessons then Ice Dreams is definitely the place to be! I have been coaching here for close to 8 years and prior to that I was a skater for 5+ years. Ice Dreams has taught me not only how to just skate, but valuable skills that has made me the coach I am able to be today. We aim to keep the skaters moving as long much as possible as we know every minute on the ice is crucial. We incorporate games into learning and many other strategies to keep all skaters engaged. From pre school all the way to adults, we believe that anyone could learn how to skate with the right tools. With different programs, such as learn to skate, figure skating, hockey and more there is something for everyone to learn here. The coaches here are talented, as well as patient, caring, and funny. I love the environment and being part of the ice dreams family.

Great experience working here! Everyone is super kind and it’s a great working environment. The hours are very reasonable as well. As for the kids, they love it here too and they always have a smile on their face. Not to mention, the rapid improvement in each and every one of our skaters within only a few classes! At Ice Dreams, we don’t only teach kids how to skate, but more importantly, we make sure that they enjoy their time here!

Coaching at Ice Dreams is a blast! The environment is very accommodating and the managements is unbelievably supportive, which makes my job as a coach extremely productive. They have a well thought out schedule for camps and programs that allow me to coach students on regular basis and see them progress quickly with their skating.
I enjoy seeing my skaters become confident at skating and have fun.

My son is 3.5 and just started skating last season. We signed him up for the winter camp and in just those 4 days, he’s improved so much.

The instructors are super nice and patient, the administrators are very reasonable and helpful. We are going back for more private lessons and so far it’s going really well for my son.

The facility also has a nice set up with a restaurant on the second floor to have a cup of coffee while watching the kids.

Overall, we’re all having a very positive experience here!

My 6-year old daughter loves skating and Ice Dreams nurtured her interest from the very beginning. She had few skating lessons before joining the Winter break camp. We noticed that the skating camp enhanced her skating skills greatly and boosted her confidence in skating a lot! My daughter told us new moves she learned from the camp everyday. Highly recommended!

I don't know where those 5 star rating come from, but at least on boxing day about 5 of us parents expressed incredible doubts about the existence of such an educational institution!

My child had his first group class on this day and it was an all yonge kids beginners class with a 1: 8 teacher to student ratio, if I had to say one more, and a busy front desk person who occasionally came on the ice with a bad attitude to help out. Yes, in a later phone conversation, the staff of this educational institution said they had to do so because they were too busy to take care of everything. But for nearly $100/hour a session, this kind of service is not acceptable. I don't mind my child falling on the ice, what I do mind is the pointless and unproductive session, the whole session was chaotic. The child stayed on the ground for too long and kept yelling please help me, after observing the instructor had passed the child many times and ignored him, the father had to pull the child up with his hands outside the field (the father's feet were not touching the ice), but that person at the front desk or the "coach" yelled very rudely that was not allowed. At this time and in this situation I think no parent would not yell back, because this kind of abuse really makes the child shadow to ice sports. Then we understood that they realized they had over recruited for enrollment and this rude way of trying to get the parents of certain children to back off and not refund the tuition for this session.

It's a place where the tuition is high but doesn't afford to hire an extra coach. Although it's a private educational institution, you don't feel that they have any interest in teaching kids to skate.
This is an educational institution that simply has no basic ethics of duty.

My daughter and son really enjoyed activities and skating during the winter camp and it’s first time for my kids to ice-skate but kindly and experienced coaches helped my kids to be familiar skating. My kids decided to take another skate program in January. Thanks the team!

My daughter - A - (first time skater at 4 y/o) always look forward to attend her classes here at Ice Dreams Skating Academy. Teachers are super friendly and patient until she is ready to try a new skill she learned at their lessons. This makes such a positive experience for her as she is learning a new skill. She is currently on lesson #5 and super proud to show me what she could do on ice already!

I wish they do have a change room/area inside tho for the colder days but no biggie for us as we usually come prepared for her lessons. I can see how some parents with smaller children and smaller cars can have issues with the lack of change rooms. Perhaps an option would be to go through the main doors and change there and walk to the doors where the lessons take place or have an access from the main doors through the rinks instead of the side/back door?

Anyways, special thanks and shoutout to Teacher Natalie - A is super fond of you and always bring home a story about your lesson and how you are super nice to her! Thank you!
