Nice looking place, wide selection. However, only a few rolls were any good. Service left a lot to be desired. Far too expensive for what is offered. $120 for two people with 2 drinks. Unfortunate.
Presentation was good and service was great. Some of the sashimi had a bit of freezer burn. The hot foods were done well if salty. Nice and spacious location at Empress Walk.
Party of 5 visited yesterday had AYCE dinner. Atmosphere was good, staff was friendly, food quality was very good. Some items on the order took a bit longer to come in butt overall it was very good.
Honestly, it's the best all you can eat sushi restaurant I've ever been to. It's a tad bit pricey, but you get a variety of different foods, and there's very little wait time. The restaurant is spacious and close to the TTC.
Today around 4: 30pm, I went here for a friend's birthday party to celebrate. When we entered the place was beautiful, they had great staff and very delicious food!
However, a few problems occurred near the end of the dinner reservation.
First, they didn't allow us to split the bill or have different bills no matter how we paid, maybe we could have asked before we ordered? However, this was our first time and we thought we could (like other restaurants do!) I felt it was kind of off about this since we all different ways to pay, they said that either we pay with cards separate, or use cash and it will be 1 bill altogether! I felt like this wouldn't always be the best solution under certain circumstances.
Second, I also requested that I could get my change back and was ignored, maybe I could been louder or went up to the waitress after, but they disappeared in the back before I could go and ask for her. For some context; another waitress took the bill than the one who gave us the bill.
We went to the original location in Markham and it was the best AYCE sushi place because they even had lamb chops included. This new location does not have that but the quality and selection is still one of the best. A little higher on the price side but still good value.
When ordering ribs, servers randomly reduce the number of orders on the iPad. This is where the crooks do business. Never go. They forced me to make the last order in an hour without announcing that there was a time limit.
The service was so awful! All servers didn't serve/ignore customers. Even food is good, servers kicking out customers! Don't forget they charge 15% tip Included. For 6 people, they Include about $50 tip for that kind of damn service, it's just rip off, not going back, shame of Asia!
I feel like sashimi was deliberately served last. That sucked because it's an expensive restaurant and we had a better experience with cheaper options.
I highly recommend their bento boxes. They're really good and not promoted enough. There's not as many options as a lot of other restaurants but the overall techniques used is better. One of the most consistent in quality restaurants we have gone to so far.
The sashimi was not fresh and we decided to not finish the food, but the waitress there told us to "eat it all". We told our concern to someone that seemed like the manager there and she said all there sashimi is fresh, but it was dull in colour, slimy and smelled. The first time going there, the torch sushi made me feel sick but gave them a second chance and after the bad service we experienced with the waitress and manager, we are never coming back here again.
Great AYCE place. Very efficient with the robot and service was good. Loved the torched sushi, so delicious! Not a huge fan that the appetizers and desserts are buffet style but still good. You can also validate your parking.
This place is very nice, the food is excellent and surprisingly they have one of the best General Tao chicken I’ve had; which, is not a Japanese food. The service is friendly and excellent as well. They have this cute robot that kids love. I come here often on special occasions.
Is this place as bad as the reviews? No, definitely not, I’ve been to many Japanese buffet and the service I received here were fairly decent. I never had to call for the staffs to clear my table or to put in my order, they also offer to fill up our tea pot.
Maybe I would have appreciated it if they introduced the dishes as they were being served (some of the more popular or unique ones) but that’s just my take. Another thing, I would recommend is for them to stop using dented plates as it ruins the presentation.

This restaurant was one of the top spots in North York, not sure what happened but apparently it isn’t anymore.
All the serving spoons were sticking and not clean, called the staff to replace it with clean one without making deal out of it at all specially that I saw that they are hiring and I assumed they have shortage in the staff but the manager was not happy with my request and he came to our table to teach me that ice cream is sweet and it is absolutely normal for the serving spoons to be sticky!
Amazing staff! Amazing food! Even the Manager, Jason, was working hard and approaching us with his friendly conversation. Susan gave us her warm welcome and service also!
The food is great but usually they take a really long time to bring the sashimi to the table they bring everything that you order very fast except the sashimis and when I pay the bill I gave tips and the server (a young asian pretty lady) complaint saying that I should give more tips I feel that it was very rude from her.
Robots are very confusing to use. Sometimes come with no food. Sometimes food orders just don't come period and you have to keep hassling waiter/kitchen
Not as much variety as other AYCE sushi places, but the maki rolls containing fish seemed fresh. Sometimes food you ordered wouldn't be delivered (but we went on a busy day) ; servers were super friendly though!
Amazing ayce sushi spot My favorite sushi place so far and I've visited a lot of sushi places and I am extremely picky But this one is my favorite. Just discovered this place less than a month ago and I've already been back 4 times. Don't pay attention to the 1 review accounts, probably they're competitors Always fresh and the waitresses are very courteous, attentive and Well mannered. I'm impressed with how well the manager runs this place and how beautiful it looks it even has a cute kitty robot that helps the waitresses takes your food to your table, so cool not sure why they have a 3.7 rating this place is absolutely amazing ️ alot of sushi places in this part of town and I've visited most of them, so take that into consideration This is my favorite
Foods are good. But Customer service is terrible. We have a reservation at 7pm and came first but then a Chinese group came later and have reservation at 7: 30 could get in first when they speak with the receptionist by Chinese. That's unacceptable.
I visited the restaurant before catching a movie at Empress walk cineplex. I was told they do not serve to single person parties. Someone explain how this isn’t greed?
Service was so bad we came to eat on saturday.at 10pm they were about to close but they still let us in, the household said they would give them more time but they didn't do so they didn't give us the iPad to order more.horrible.my children eat too fast because they urge us. When they get home, they get upset.you guys need to return the money and apologize to us
Must go for asian all you can eat - nice food - the soup is amazing and the meat is fresh. They officially close at 10pm but they started packing at 9.30pm so I recommend going atleast couple hours before closing time To Ichiban - guys maybe not start cleaning and wrapping when the guests are still there that’s just rude and bad manners
The food was not the best and not very fresh. The mango salad and mango desserts tasted like it's been there for quite some time. We had a 3 yr old child with us but the waiter didn't ask to confirm the child's age and charged for "child <10yr". Please double check your bill for child fee, especially if your kid is below 5 yrs old. The worst part is that our waiter stood by our table on our first round of orders for a very long time and we didn't know what was taking him so long. When our orders came, we noticed that they served us more rice rolls than we had ordered. The extra rolls were not tasty, mediocre and rice heavy, there was one roll that wasn't even on the iPad. It felt like they wanted to fill us up on rice rolls so we won't order much of the other specialty foods
Very disappointed in the quality and portion of the fish. I dined in and ordered one of the sushi + sashimi lunch specials. The fish was sliced so thinly that the three pieces of salmon would of made up one piece from one of the many other sushi restaurants in the area. The salmon and tuna pieces were translucent and lacked flavour. The miso soup and salad were nice but didn’t make up for the meal. Not worth the money.
