The oysters and sea squirts are so fresh~
I ordered a boat and the amount was huge.
I ate it yesterday and didn't take a picture, but it tasted like a review.

The food is good. Unfortunately they fry everything including tempura bits and vegetable tempura in the same oil they fry the pork katsu in. So muslim and vegeterian can't eat there unless they don't care. Just wondering why they don't have a seperate fryer for tempura bits and vegetables.

I had a lunch special and was great. My husband has some rolls and they weren't that great. Overall, I would go back. The food was abundant and prices were reasonable.

Enjoyable! Service is super friendly and sushi was fresh and tasty. Convenient parking. We had the salmon lovers tray. Definitely will be back!

Been going to this place for 10 years even back when they were at their previous location. Food had consistently been amazing over the years. Servers are very nice as well. It will always be my favourite go to sushi place!

Love this place. Superb in taste, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality sushi restaurant.

A Japanese restaurant that I come to frequently. The ingredients are fresh and the service is good. I like it very much, very cost-effective ~ I will support it as always

Just recently started going to this spot again. Under new owner and management. Great staff and service. Not that many places to dine in for Sushi spots in North York but this does it. Great affordable proce with quality food. They also serve alcohol so whoever willing to drink and dine for sushi, try it out. Definitely recommend. (Reason for the high priced average is due to amount of alcohol we drank on this day)

The noodles and sashimi served as a service are so good to whet your appetite, and the server was so kind! Tempura and sushi are delicious as expected, and I ate sea squirts from Jeolla-do, which are hard to eat here hahaha

Amazing sushi restaurant! I'm surprised I never stopped by before. Definitely better than all the foods inside the mall, and the prices are great. The Blue Mountain sushi roll (and I'm guessing all signatures) was really big! Way bigger than the average roll you'd find. Kani salad was also very delicious and a big portion, and their gyozas were fresh

Best thing was the service. Our waitress was very nice and they gave us complimentary noodles! Will definitely go back and always choosing it over all the other food places in this area

Love the Energy roll and my daughter loves California Roll. I am treating my niece 10 years birthday. Excellent service. Good food.

Got the love boat to go. Fabulous assortment. Server was kind enough to help pack with some ice as I had a long drive home to Niagara Falls. I used to really like the previous incarnation as Ichiban when l lived nearby but Akane is much better quality and only a little pricier. Still great value. Hope to be back soon.

I had to edit my review. For a restaurant that has "udon and sake" on their sign, their udon was horrendous. The seafood udon for $17 had 2 pieces of mussel and about 3 pieces of random seafood from those frozen mixed seafood bags, so it tasted mushy and old. The soup base was so salty. Other meat udon, had like 3 pieces of meat, that was it. Totally not worth it and will never order again. Ended up feeling sick after eating.

This Sushi restaurant was such a lovely surprise. A welcomed oasis the day my husband and I were far from home, on a wild goose chase.
The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. We got a free noodle appetizer that was super yummy.
They had a very nice selection of vegetarian dishes, which was great for me!
Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, and while on pricey side, we were happy to pay for such a lovely meal.

The food was so delicious! I am vegetarian and they had plenty of vegetarian options that were so yummy. The servers were so kind and gave me complimentary green tea and miso soup. The booth was so gorgeous and the dishes were absolutely beautiful as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The place was a cute Japanese a la carte restaurant tugged alongside the centrepoint mall. We would definitely return back as the services was good and we had complimentary grill salmon's head, noodle soup, & salad. It is hard nowadays that restaurant would cater such treats. The staffs were attentive and accomodating. The manager even went up to us to asked how we liked the food. We had the love boat, the portions was fulfilling, fresh, and good assortments of sushi and sashimi. The restaurant in general was clean and well kept. Great place to have a nice casual dining.

One of the absolute best restaurants I have been to in a while. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. The food is fresh and hot when delivered to the table. Quality ingredients from the sushi right up to the tempura. Udon noodles were delicious, everything was delicious. Five stars all around.

Friendly warm and welcoming staff greeting you right when you enter through the door. Menu offers a wide variety to choose from and well priced. We had the salmon teriyaki bento box and an unagi don. Both were excellent and the sushi that came with it (plus the sashima salad that was given on the house) was fresh and high quality. Both the waiter and waitress were constantly roaming to ensure everyone was ok and it was a full house tonight. Aside of the great food, the staff were all smiles and their kindness and attention contributed to the amazing dine in atmosphere at this cozy spot.

Nosy, noisy, unprofessional, inconsiderate to a diner just because I’m alone, young and a woman. It was empty when I went. The two young servers (a male and female) were talking about me in Korean the entire duration of my meal while watching me. Deeply unsettling.

My meal which I paid 55$ for and tipped. Please learn some manners and professionalism.

And ps. Yes, I am Korean, since you were wondering the entire time. Smh. Food was decent, calamari not so much, hard and too deeply fried. Grilled squid is not Ikayaki. I won’t be coming back.

We ordered Medium (sushi and roll) party tray and got five pieces less. (We counted)
Among those order, only eight pieces were sushi and entire set were filled with low graded maki (simple roll)

Quality of the sushi and rolls were really great, and could have enjoyed all the time in here with these really friendly, kind, and also good-looking servers: Minju and Ian. I' ll definitely come back to this restaurant.

The service was excellent. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The fried salmon fish head was delicious as well as the rest if our dinner which included chicken teriyaki and a love boat. Our server was named Min and Ian. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Nice, quaint, little sushi restaurant. The variety of food and drinks are good and the staff were attentive and friendly. We had one of the sushi and sashimi boats which was great. Will definitely be back and try some of the other offerings on the menu.

Very friendly and quick service here. Prices are reasonable. Servers were great.
They gave us edamame and soup on the house which was amazing. All the food tasted fresh and delicious.

The manager is rude and she should learn how to talk to people. If your food is bad and using filthy dishes to serve then she should close the door and not make people sick.

What I like about this sushi restaurant, they have a ramp for wheelchair. I took my patient for lunch here. The food was delicious. Great service. I go here regularly.

Great experience, their salmon poke bowl was a good portion and only 13 dollars. They also gave me and my friend a california roll for free! I also like the green tea they serve. Overall, food was good and service was great.

A quite funny dinner game night with their delicious take-out food, but no winner tonight. Cuz I found the hair on top of the sashimi package’s wasabi & my wife found one on the shrimp tempura’s package, so we tied the game. Maybe I can earn some bonus points, because I’m the guy spent on toilet the whole night.

Ordered my hot pot of sake and Love Boat as usual.

Service from Chloe, the cute gentleman server was great. I remember him from the old location. They were very kind. Chef also came to say hi.

The Love Boat was fresh and nicely displayed.
The hot soup noodle with tempura bits on the house was a nice touch.
We also got a grilled salmon head and it was done to perfection.

Overall I'll always be a fan and return.

I've been a fan of Akane for years and have visited all their locations.

The owner is absolutely lovely and welcoming.
The service is always great.

The food quality never fails.

Love Boat - Small $52:
It has a variety of sashimi, sushi and nigiri.
My take out order came with miso soup and salad. Uni has been. Out of season for a while but I got to have it in this platter. There are also fried taro chips in the platter too.
The fishes were fresh and delicious.

Overall I can't wait to have the dine in experience again at Akane.

Great food! Amazing service! Definitely an experience to come back for! Their beef teriyaki was so good we forgot to take a photo of it! It'll be served on a hot plate with a decent portion of rice! Portions were great! Miso soup tasted fantastic! They served us with their house tea and it was perfect for the cold weather!

I have been coming here for many years, today was my first time going after the store changed to Akane sushi. I am happy to report everything is still amazing! Our lovely server Chloe gave us great suggestions for the new menu and was very kind and quick, 10/10 customer service. The appetizers were noodle soup which we loved, overall everything tasted wonderful and fresh, i would highly recommend to try the dynamite roll, the fried onion pieces on top added so much flavour. (They also have take out and delivery options)

I usually write a review only if it is positive since I believe it helps small businesses but I have been ordering for the second time and it is the second time that we get sushi that aren't fresh. Disappointed.

Very good service, very tasty. Even the veggie rolls were very good. Their spicy is very spicy! The miso soup was good, karaage too.
