Idlewyld Inn & Spa

Great location and nice property. We visited the restaurant with a party of 12. Keep in mind we required a reservation to make this happen as the restaurant is not overly large (as I found out when we arrived, hence why I needed to talk to the hotel manager.). We had an entire room for our group which was good, and there was ample space. Service was excellent and we were not rushed. Food was excellent with no complaints from our group. Looking forward to visiting again.

Chef Trevor and the team was incredible. The food was unbelievably delicious. Thank you for a special night to end 2023.

Staff is beyond helpful. Rooms all have character befitting the period of the house. Breakfast buffet was an unexpected bonus. Some mixed experiences with dinner.

Awesome place! Our favorite place for a short getaway in London or to celebrate. We love fine dining at the restaurant. Meals are always fabulous. Love the quaint rooms and the historic character of the inn. Nice full buffet hot breakfast included with your stay. Booked the Romantic Package - the chocolate dipped strawberries and Prosecco were fabulous. Great night away!

One of my favorite restaurants in London, Ontario. Came with friends for Sunday brunch today, good food and nice environment as usual. Had to wait for 20 minutes before we got our coffee, I do have higher expectation for this classy place. Our waitress did try hard later on when the busy time was over. Not sure if the manager was available when she was struggling with the credit card machine. Hoping for improvement when I return.

Went here for a few days for my 25th birthday with my boyfriend and it was the worst experience we've ever had. Restaurant service was awful, food wasn't good and we were treated awful compared to those seated around us. The inn itself is extremely old, loud, creaky and not clean. Our doorknob was broken as we tried to get into our room everyday and anyone walking in the halls would wake us up throughout the night as you could hear everything through the walls. We booked a couples massage and they only offer a relaxation massage, so we both walked out of there still feeling stiff and sore. Would not return or suggest this place to anyone.

I was in for an event, not an overnight.
I would consider staying the weekend.
The food was a buffet. The staff was fantastic.

Dined here for our anniversary and they were very accommodating of our allergies! My partner is allergic to dairy and I am allergic to gluten and they were super helpful with figuring out what menu items we could eat and substituting items that we couldn't out of the meals we wanted! Every item we had was delicious and the room we were in had a wonderful atmosphere.

Katherine is a wonderful waitress and made the whole evening better!

Dinner out and a selection made from the London Lucious menu. Katherine was our server and she gets five stars plus for professional and personable service. The meal was "lick our plates" delicious, our compliments to the kitchen staff and Chef. You need time to enjoy a meal here and the wait is worth the results. We will be back to dine again.

Date night at the Idlewyld was fantastic!

Our server, Allie, was friendly, knowledgeable, and always knew when to come to our table.

We started with a Caesar salad and their juicy bacon-wrapped scallops with a poached pear.
Our main dishes were beef tenderloin and seafood linguine.

The presentation was beautiful, and the food did not disappoint.

The linguine was a sumptuous al-dente, & the chef prepared the scallops and steak perfectly.

They have a large selection of wine, spirits, and specialty cocktails to pair with anything on their menu.

Even the most discerning palates will be pleased with a visit to the Idlewyld.

We will definitely return! We did not stay here, as we live in the area, but we will certainly consider it for a stay-at-home vacation.

I am a Londoner and wanted to get away for the weekend. Due to not wanting to travel in winter weather and family dynamics, I decided to stay local and still treat myself in our scenic city. Additionally, it is very important to me to support local businesses.

Quite the little secret in London! Was able to spend one night here and it was lovely. My room had the Jacuzzi which I obviously used, and jumping into a robe and slippers after was relaxing. I missed dinner, however was able to catch their breakfast buffet; scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and croissants (other pastries and breads as well) - my favourite! After checking out the next morning, we decided to come back for lunch. This has been the best seafood linguini I EVER had. It had the satisfying balance of sauce, pasta, seafood and vegetables. I think next time I stay, I will have to get two seafood linguini’s to go! The staff were extremely pleasant, the room was comfortable and the food was superb. What more can you want?

Beautiful old inn with all the amenities for a lovely stay. Large, clean and well appointed rooms. Dining room (s) are charming and refined. Received exceptional service from ladies in the dining room for both lunch, cocktails and breakfast service. Above and beyond care and attention really made our stay (group of 4 women) warm, welcomed and special.
Extra details for our Birthday girl made the experience unforgettable. Jacquie and Michelle are treasures. Thank you!

Definitely one of the nicest places in London to go out for dinner. I can’t speak about the spa or Inn portion of the business as I haven’t tried it. But the restaurant was amazing. The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone going out for a special night and will definitely be back myself! Thanks for a great dinner.

I can not say enough about what a wonderful time our group of twelve had this past week. The staff and our wait staff were beyond exceptional. Our private dining room was both beautifully appointed and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our meals were 5 star for presentation and taste, the comments were so positive. I strongly recommend for those looking for a special pampered experience in London, Idlewyld is the place to go. Thank-you to the staff for creating a lovely memory, it could not have been better.

I received one of the best facials I have ever had. The care that went into selecting the products that fit best with my face was amazing. I felt very relaxed! I would highly recommend getting spa treatments here!

I love this place! I have been here a handful of times. It’s perfect for an intimate couple getaway, a girlfriend getaway, and I’ve even escaped here on my own for a couple of days. The spa is lovely and the food is delicious!

Went for my birthday dinner last night, never been to the Inn before was so looking forward to it.

Restaurant was nice but tables are so close to each other.

Food:
Ordered Caesar Salad ate it but not sure what the dressing was, tasted of vinegar was awful

Rack of Lamb for main course it was so over seasoned with mustard that was all I could taste, very over powering and to be honest the meal was a birthday disappointment I won't fo back.

Was here for lunch. Very good. Nice place to eat and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed.

We celebrated my Mom's 100 year birthday at Idlewyld Inn and we could not be more happier with the room size, staff service, and the food beyond my expectation! Presentation, temperature, just perfect! Thank you for making my Mom's 100 year celebration very beautiful!
