Price is ridiculous view is great. Food was sub par the air temp was freezing and all were complaining. You think for the inflated price of food they could afford to have the heat at a comfortable level
Stayed at the Hilton Embassy Suites and chose the IHop because of the heavy crowds eating at the hotel. We were seated right away and the friendly waitress took our orders. Seated within range of the Falls, I was able to get a few nice shots through the window. Food came quickly but was bland and bacon not cooked all-the-way through. Adding salt and pepper did not help too much, but the coffee was delicious. The other reviews that mention the expensive cost of breakfast are correct as it is for the other restaurants we ate at with a whopping 13% tax!
We had the pleasure of dining at IHOP on the 26th floor by the falls, and it was an unforgettable experience. The view alone is worth the visit, but what truly made it special was our fantastic waiter. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the combination of great service and a stunning backdrop made this lunch one for the books. I can’t recommend IHOP at this location enough!
First off, the place is pretty small with limited seating for an attraction area. Secondly, the prices are SUPER RIDICULOUS for breakfast food. My husband and I paid $93 dollars for two just okay tasting omelets and water. The waiter seemed intimidated or shy. He got my order wrong, but had it corrected and offered me a free drink. Which I refused. By the time the correct order arrived, my husband was done eating the little bit that he ate. The food was just okay, but we didn't finish it. We ended up going to Turtle Jack's across the street and pay far less for a tasty dinner. I wouldn't recommend this place unless some changes are made. Pure RIP OFF.
I have never paid a higher price for breakfast in my life. The food is okay, didn't get to look at the falls while we ate and the bill for 2 was 112.00! Insane!
Nice view of the falls. This is a PREMIUM priced IHOP. Food was good, as expected from IHOP. Server was friendly. Price wise, you’ll be paying double or even x3 compared to the normal IHOP branches.
You don't go to this restaurant for the food. You go there for the view. The food just happens to be IHOP. Yes, it is pricey, but then how many times in your life will you get a similar experience? 40 CAD + tip + tax for a standard breakfast meal and coffee seems like a fair price to me. The Skylon tower already charge 18 CAD + tax for just the view. So, I would rather spend that money while eating a petit déjeuner.
Was here at the end of October. Went looking for somewhere to have breakfast on a rainy day - saw the sign for the IHOP outside the Fallsview Tower Hotel while walking down the road and was relieved we wouldn't have to got far and get too wet. Mistake. Big mistake.
The restaurant interior is nothing to brag about - I suppose the only draw it has would be the view of the falls IF you were seated on that side, and if it wasn't raining cats and dogs. The server was ok. The food was average at best. Our eggs were overcooked.
The ridiculous thing was the price. If it hadn't been pouring outside we would have walked out after seeing the prices on the menu. $4+ for a cup of coffee, and $33 for a pancake combo. That's close to 10 dollars more than at an IHOP in Niagara that's on the ground. The bill for breakfast for two was a whopping $77.80.
**Note - when you are eating out in Niagara Falls, check your bill - they may add a 'tourist tax' onto your bill - sometimes listed as NFDF. You can ask for it to be removed.
4 pancakes, 3 bacon, 4 eggs, 2 toast, 2 sausage, 1 French toast, 2 teas, and a chocolate milk for $119 tip in. I have never spent so much on a breakfast in my life. The location is tiny but not crowded and was very cold temperature, having to keep my coat on while eating. Staff were very friendly and the place was clean. Obviously you are paying for a view with these prices because the meal was standard IHOP. If you want a view while you eat then this is an amazing spot. Next time I will invest the $119 into attractions and get Tims.
Guys i dont know what con job happens here. I sent my 2 teenagers for bfast, they also added a omlette for Dad to-go. 135 USD? Seriously? Is this a Sheraton bfast or a con job?
Fantastic view of the Falls. Breakfast was okay, nothing special except for the hair found in my food. Please have your staff wear hair nets. No one wants hair with their overpriced breakfast.
$88 usd for an ihop breakfast. That should be enough said on why it’s getting the rating it’s getting. I understand that you’re paying for the view but we didn’t get any view from where we were seated. Not even a window seat. Food was decent not worth $88 for two adult decent.
We received a $20 voucher for preferring two adult entrees from Embassy. Needless to say this voucher covers almost nothing when each entree without anything to drink costs $40 each! We left the place without ordering. Went to local restaurant, ordered a nice full breakfast without breaking bank. What a trap this place is.
HORRIFIC. Mind blowing failure. What could go wrong DID. $127 for two adults and a toddler. Worst breakfast AND service we’ve EVER had. Save yourself the pain. Go elsewhere.
Very expensive! $100.00 for breakfast for two adults. Food and coffee were mediocre. Staff not very friendly. We were there in early November 2022, and will not eat at IHOP again.
We regret that we had seen the reviews on Google before visiting this restaurant. We were staying in the embassy suits and received a $20 coupon which mentioned nothing for the conditions.
It was only update that time when the server came to us and said we need to order specific amount of portion which cost way more than $100 to use the $20 coupon. This was ridiculous.
And the tea was made from whole outdated tea bags.
Over all this is over priced scam restaurant be alert you would find a better place to have a breakfast inside the city, even after taking a Uber.
This restaurant is disgusting and insanely expensive. Each meal was around $35. I ordered over easy eggs with bacon and sausage, we ended up with uncooked eggs, the egg white was liquid. When we ordered the eggs Benedict the meal was cold when we sent it back it came back nuked the texture was rubbery and felt like plastic. The pancakes were pretty good though. The waiter was rude and seemed unhappy to be there. The only good part was the view.
The food was average but the prices were doubled. The breakfast sampler was $31.99 In fact there were very little meals that were under $30. Along with a $5 coffee. Our bill was $200 for 4 people. I suppose we were paying for the view but the restaurant was very hot and we did not have a window seat. Of course the restaurant gouged us but so did the government. HST plus and 18% city tourism tax. Will definitely not be going there again!
The food was fine, though the portions could be bigger given the prices, and the view was really nice, but I can't possibly give this place more than a 1-star rating when I paid $100 for two people to have a simple breakfast. Definitely won't be back.
Overpriced, Overpriced, Overpriced. You simply pay 3 times more for the view. Food is ok nothing special. Most of the breakfast places serve the same food. View is awesome but still 90 cad for 2 simple breakfast meal is too much. Don’t fall in the trap of lhop 20cad discount coupon. This is just a way to take you to their place.
Maybe because it was my first time here I was completely shocked that 3 plates of pancakes and 2 orange juice cost me more than my family supper the night before. $145 is just ridiculous for pancakes and juice View was great tho, food was delicious but definitely not worth the money
I wouldn't call it false marketing but definitely a sly way of overcharging customers by omitting necessary information. We were staying at the suites of Hilton and as a welcome package we got bunch of coupons to dine around the city. I called the iHop restaurant asking about the coupon and how do we place order with them. The coupon states free delivery+ the 20$ off sounded like a great deal. Prices on their website were around 22$ for eggs. So I order 2 dishes to be eligible for the coupon. Got it delivered (coz hey free delivery) I assumed I'll give a good tip for being kind enough to deliver this. I go to the lobby to collect my order and was charged 90$! I asked them why the change in price the delivery guy said the prices for food delivery of each dish is different. It was 35$ for eggs. I don't mind you charging for delivery but this was very sly.you don't give a heads-up or a menu over the phone and to get food delivered the only way is to place order through phone. Food is alright. With inflation, prices on website for touristy restaurant seemed okay but this was not a good way to overcharge your customer. Feels deceived.
Like many reviews say - yes, this location is overpriced. However, this is with all IHOP locations in Niagara. The prices don’t really make sense, coffees and drinks are particularly expensive. This is more of an issue with the chain and not this specific location.
If you’re going to go to IHOP in Niagara, this is a really solid location. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The service was quick. The view was great. I don’t have any complaints, generally, about my experience.
The eggs, meat are nothing special. I really liked the potato, as it was really buttery. The pancakes and those types of items are also very good!
