The food was pretty good (especially the meatballs). The quality of the food was mostly good other than the fries being stale. The service needs major improvement as the employees were tossing the food to you and responding with an rude tone of voice. The atmosphere very much made up for the service. It was a beautiful restaurant with nice design and view. Overall I would give the ikea restaurant an 6/10.
IKEA.you can't give Ikea a negative review because you have to do all the work anyways In the last visit the frozen yogurt was only in vanilla and other flavors were out of stock. I wish there were more support staff around to help. I will say the prices have gone up for furniture. Cinaide you have to build everything, I would want my time to be considered in the price model.
It has become customary for us to stopover for lunch when shop here. Me thinks family want to come here more lunch than shop. It is busy during lunch but they have lots of tables and staff refresh them quickly.
Had Vegan Plant Balls, with fries and green peas - the plant balls are so good and go perfectly with any mixed veggies or peas. The family also had plant balls with mashed potatoes and gravy. They also indulged in Broccoli Rounds and they are delicious and sadly they not vegan. The side soup was plant based and vegan was OK. The other side was Mac n Cheese was perfect.
Do visit and try their plant based options - they are absolutely the best.
Good food, but failed service! Used kiosk to save time, could not add any selection. On 2 different machines. Neither could manager, when I found one (no one responded to my service call). Once he forced a transaction, I paid, but it didn't say what to do, where to go. Someone completely failed to understand the self serve kiosk procedure and setup. Not impressed.
It's healthy at a reasonable price. The delicious foods are served in an adequate portion. After shopping and watching the market, visiting the restaurant is definitely worthwhile. You can get whatever you want very fast.
First time visiting, as expected very busy! They can really pump people through. We grabbed a cart that you can put multiple trays on to carry your food. The kids did not really care for the max and cheese. Swedish meatballs were good, and the fish and chips was okay. Our favourite thing was the cinnamon bun! The drinks were ok as well, had ikea brand coke and sparkling water.
Convenient in house restaurant that you can stop by after your IKEA stroll to buy some home check list items. Their Swedish meatballs are definitely the best deal. Don’t expect anything fancy or great however you Will definitely get your money’s worth. During rush hours, their might be some heavy deals until you are able to get some food from the counter to finding a empty table to be seated to eat. Personally, IKEA should definitely consider opening up more distribution units in southern Ontario.
I had the traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, hash browns and garlic toast and a coffee. Food was delicious and nicely served but the eggs were a bit cold. I would suggest warming up your plates to prevent making the food cold. Other than that, I do love the breakfast.
