I did not feel comfortable shopping alone there even though I was brainstorming ideas for my apartment.

Awful place, especially return department’s staff-Grey
Unwilling to help also rude to every customer who came in.
I strongly recommend that head office should consider if he can handle the position well…

My new fav hobby - love this place.
Sometimes they don't have the stuff I want in stock?

I definitely think a downtown Ikea was long overdue, however the management of this store is horrendous. It's like as if staff are so horribly trained that they are avoiding contact with all customers. Ikea, everyone comes to you, you're gonna have to expect people want to converse and ask for assistance!

Please note that if you order online for pick up, you'll need to go to B1 for that. Nowhere in the store were signs to direct you, may I add. Signage would have been helpful. That or I was super blind.

Once I got to B1 for pickup, however, the dudes in there all but made up for my runaround experience.they were helpful and friendly, thank you!

I love that IKEA opened this super-convenient location on Yonge Street, a block south of the College subway station, very close to the Eaton's center. It does not carry everything that the larger IKEAs do, but I often seem to spot a nice thing to buy when browsing. There's a small food spot (serving IKEA's famous foods) on the main floor to rest and recharge. Thanks IKEA:)

The main problem with this location as opposed to the further out ones (North York and Etobicoke) is the lack of free and/or nearby parking. Makes getting larger things home a little difficult. The Cafe/Restaurant is also fairly small. Otherwise though, the selection is surprisingly excellent considering the size of the location.

Some of the staff are nice but they have to abide stupid rules. For some reason, even if you have around 20 items, all they can do is watch you scan and bag your items all on your own instead of asking another employee to help you at the counter. They prioritized self checkout to reduce costs and have a few employees look at you. A god damn zoo. Worst IKEA I’ve been too out of the several I’ve visited in 4 different countries.

They didnt accept my return of Standing Lamp although items were in place unused, Remove your 365 days return policy kindly if you cannot honor it.

I was racially profiled at your downtown store by your returns staff. I was spoken very loudly to and told to take the items for return to Facebook and “to sell them on Facebook”. This was uncalled for and a verbal abuse in other words. The same staff also said that I got what I paid for and should “just throw the frames in the garbage somewhere”. His colleagues were right there and they would be lying if they say he never said these words and was not rude and obnoxious. To his racial mind, I did not look economically or racially someone he felt he ought to serve and so he acted like a disgruntled clerk in a horrid little convenience store. Clearly IKEA trained this racist guy to feel comfortable demeaning individuals based on what he thinks they look like and exposing to them his trash, personal opinions over the customers decision to purchase poor quality items at the store —— items that were point in fact manufactured by you, IKEA, but which you utilize abusive, belligerent staff to dissuade your customers from returning. I have made complaints both written and by phone and have not heard a word from you. I have also tried to make a complaint to you via social media but you hid my comment instead so no one else sees it. And Why? Why are you ignoring my complaints? Because you obviously support this kind of attitude from your staff, and are a hypocritical and racist corporation that cannot be bothered?

Decent selection and layout considering spacial constraints. Happy to visit the sustainable take back selection and actually found a half price mattress! Was so excited I called my dad to pick me up. Considering the check out was on the second floor I asked the cashier how I could move the mattress to the first floor and she said the cart couldn’t leave the store so I’d basically have to carry it out to the first floor? Um WHAT for context I’m 110lbs and the mattress was easily 2X my weight. Also considering the parking and traffic situation downtown I wanted to have the pick up happen as quickly and smoothly as possible. I had to argue with customer service at the exit for help, asking if a team member could help me carry it, even security? She went on the explain staff safety risks of leaving the store so I explained my own safety risk of moving this freaking mattress by myself. After some back and forth she graciously helped me bring the mattress on the store dolly to the first floor on the elevator and help me get set up by the door. I understand having staff constraints but I’d really like to see a more safe and effective way to move large items out to the first floor for take away. Also considering I would never have such a difficult experience at any other further out IKEA. Thanks for the headache story but I’m sleeping comfortably on my new affordable and sustainably traded mattress:)

I was so excited to check out this location as I live Downtown. It's a smaller version of IKEA, however they have most items you'd except in a smaller store. I located the product I was looking for and headed to the checkout - only to find out they do not accept cash! There are no cashiers & only self checkout machines. I completely wasted my time as I only had cash on me and IKEA should be ashamed that they do not accept LEGAL CANADIAN TENDER.

Smaller than the typical Ikea however still a great place! It still had a lot to offer. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions well and were friendly. It is super clean inside.

I thought they would have more space for their popular food service in terms of dine in seating but it’s way to crowded to even get food on a slow day unless you take it to go. Hopefully they are able to expand their dining area and figure that out as well as create more space in terms of some of the isles they have. It’s a good location but I feel they can use the space that they have a lot better.

Can't return hangars because they were opened. So your "365 no hassle returns policy" means nothing? It's $8 hangars.what a joke

Delightful shopping set up, it’s well lit and organized. Several models are available online but not in store. It could be a logistics or supply matter. The good news is that the website is user friendly and gives you store info that is up to date. Eating in the cafeteria is interesting. You can find bite size snack food and try it he Nordic sofa. Free refill machine has unique offerings. I wasn’t too adventurous to try plant based meatballs; I keep coming back and notice new items. I like to visit floor models for the latest rock bottom deals.

I was so happy to see, my favorite IKEA cake /Daim, 400 gr/is available for sale again.
I think the new price from $6.99 to $10.99 is not realistic.
I won't buy it anymore. Its worth to visit any European grocery store and choose something else from their shelves.

Hello and welcome to IKEA a huge store that DON'T ACCEPT MONEY! SERIOUSLY W T F.
Lost couple of hours finding the things I needed and when I went to check out: Sorry we don't accept cash. Ridiculous.

Great to have ikea in downtown, good service of coffee, it would be nice if open at 9: 00 am on weekends and holidays!

Please stop asking me at checkout if I’d like to buy the IKEA reusable bag I brought from home. Assuming I’m stealing your bag is insulting. I’m spending hundreds of dollars. Why would you assume I’m stealing.

Excited about the accessibility of this location. It has all the small kick knacks one may need. No lines in self check out.

Someone was smoking crack next to the entrance. Security said they could do nothing as the sidewalk wasnt their property…

I have never seen Ikea of this size, It is in center of the downtown, so it is spread in limited area. But you will find most of the essential bed, kitchen or other home supplies. The store is well organized but you will not find many full room size replicas here. There is also a small Swedish cafe, where they are serving there most famous meat balls and there $1 hot dogs.

They did not deliver my order worth $2800 and then said they can't give me a refund. "Customer service" refused to help me without a "case number" that I do not have and the head manager Zeus told me to call customer support and sort it out on the phone

How outdated Downtown Toronto Ikea!
This experience made my second in IKEA feel uncomfortable for me.
Last time I tried to pay for a purchase with a US credit card. But Ikea declined. After that, my credit card could not be used anywhere. After calling the credit card issuing bank in the US I was able to use it again. Today I wanted to go to IKEA again and buy something and pay with the same credit card. It was rejected again.why? Is IKEA rejecting US credit cards? After that, I can't use the eCredit card anywhere, and I have to call the issuer again inconveniently.

This IKEA Experience is good considering it’s well within the heart of Toronto Downtown. Bigger furnitures have fewer options on display but can be ordered for delivery. Rest of the stuffs are good.

They don’t serve veggie Hotdog which I liked at IKEA North York centre. Many other items from the Food menu is not available.

Ikea is terrible bad store. Our experience is horrible with ikea. Employees are very inefficient, don’t have enough knowledge about the store products. Products are highly expensive and poor quality. We bought expensive bed from ikea and it’s a real pain in our everyday life. I wish to get back my money from ikea. Poor customer service. ️

The location is amazing! It's made my life much easier. The order of items in the store was a little weird and haphazardly in the beginning, but now after a couple of months, they really made sense out of it.

Love it specifically because of its accessibility.

Location! Location! It’s great to have an IKEA located right in downtown Toronto. Sometimes I just by to go to the coffee shop.
