Horrible, horrible service. We went to celebrate my dads birthday and we did not enjoy any moment of the evening. When we got there, it took 45 minutes to get any order taken. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed and there should have been multiple servers working a large party. The manager was RUDE. I have never met someone who spoke to customers like this. He was blaming us for having too many requests but half of the food came out wrong, everything took an extended amount of time and I could not believe the way he spoke to us. We will never be returning to this restaurant and I hope they improve on their customer service. You should not let your personal feelings and emotions interfere with your professionalism but the manager clearly let that happen.

We’re never gonna be back. Pros: the quality of food is great and the restaurant has a great vibe. Cons: this is probably the most kid-unfriendly place we’ve been to. To the point that they wouldn’t “allow” the kids to draw on the disposable paper on the table. The servers are hit and miss. The initial waitress had so much attitude and almost rolled her eyes at us. She put my glass of water on the opposite side of the table where nobody was sitting. Eventually a new waitress came and she was great. This is a pricey restaurant and they should have better customer service.

I was blown away by the welcoming atmosphere and service we received at our staff Christmas party. It was a wonderful evening with friends, hosted people that care. All the best to the staff. Merry Christmas and happy new year! Hope to see you soon.

Excellent food, amazing customer services and healty environment. It is the most recommended place for authentic Italian Cuisine. 5 stars.

I didn't get a chance to eat. I came with a toddler and needed a booth. They tried to accommodate, but in the end my 3 year old would have run away so I had to go somewhere yet.

I apologize if I might have been abrupt. I apologize to thr hostesses.

We had a lovely evening there with family.
Experienced crew, excellent timing in serving drinks and antipasto orders, followed by main courses!
Food was very well balanced in terms of spices and ingredients (not too fat, not to cheesy, not over seasoned)!
They have a good collection of red and white wines.

The night we ate there was not that busy, I'm not sure how they perform in hectic situations!

Everything was great.

Our family gathered at Il Fornello for a birthday lunch last weekend and as usual the experience was excellent. Great food, comfy atmosphere and awesome service from Laura and team. Thanks kindly!

I want to write that I come from a hospitality background. I visited with my family on family day we were a party of 11. They brought a drinks in 2 rounds all we had was 3 beers, 2 caesars, and 2 cocktails. My father waited over 30 mins for a Caesar. Which is totally unacceptable. Our food also for our side of table last. My father's drinks should have been compt or the manager should have came over and apologized. You guys need to do better for the prices your charging.

Great menu, the osso buco was sublime, and the coffee was excellent. Good service, very friendly.

I went for a dinner party of 10 recently and we dined inside. I went to the Ajax location last Summer and it was Outdoor seating, so it was nice to compare. The food was better than last time. We shared the Goats cheese and walnut salad, the Alfredo spaghetti in a white wine sauce, the spicy sausage pizza but substituted the meat for the plant based sausage instead and Tiramisu for dessert.
The salad was ok, lacked taste and definitely needs a better dressing.
The spaghetti was shockingly disappointing and underwhelming (no seasoning, no garnishing, no flavour and floating in butter/oil).
The pizza was pleasantly surprising but extremely over priced. Somehow there was an up charge for having the plant based substitute for the meat sausage on an already very overpriced pizza) and the Tiramisu was excellent!
Service was very slow and nothing impressive. I'm to sure why, when there's only 50% indoor seating capacity allowed? !
We were told that at the end that there is an automatic 18% minimum gratuity added!
All in all, mixed reviews on the place. It's not really a place to go for value for money. Hopefully they will improve.

Portion is larger, good for groups of 4 or above to share.
Wine selection per category is around 4. Not bad but could have been better.

Very average pasta for a not very average price. For $60, two people should be able to each have a plate of good pasta. The ingredients for me were not very fresh and overall a mediocre meal in terms of taste. Their pizza is quite good though.

I was in resturant on Nov 20 with a group, food was delicious with a nice promotion on price, waitresses were very nice with good attitude even after I was leaving the restaurant checked on me to make sure I am happy. I recommend that resturant to anyone likes delicious food in nice place.

Last night I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences I can remember. I was part of a group of twenty-six who reserved well ahead for a six o'clock time. When we arrived the establishment did not appear to be busy at all. Accordingly we expected to be served in a reasonable amount of time. That did not turn out to be the case. A few members of our group received their order an hour later. Many of us were still waiting after eight o'clock. When one our our group expressed his concern to the manager he was simply told he could leave which he did. While we waited for our food we observed several groups who arrived after us and were served main courses desserts and beverages and left before we were even served. My meal arrived at eight forty and some others were even later. Most of us cancelled orders for desert and tea and coffee. Well after nine our dishes were not even cleared from the tables. Initially we received our bills which were replaced by a second bill with a "promo" discount. However, a "tip" of eighteen per cent was still added to our bills. What was most distressing was the lack of concern displayed by staff. I can understand the pressure of staffing shortages. However, limiting the number of patrons to the number which could be accommodated would ease the problem. My meal was quite good but very pricey and not substantial. To complete my evening I had dessert at home after ten o'clock because I was still hungry. I will not be returning to this restaurant in the future. I can find food of equality with better service for less elsewhere. I can not imagine not being concerned about having twenty-six unhappy customers leave a restaurant.but that appears to be the case.

Although the server was fine, The meals we ordered were undercooked and served cold.
We complained, she brought another plate this time heated, but still undercooked. Please, learn how to cook a decent meal before serving this mess to the public.
Worse part.no compensation was offered.we paid full price for two terrible meals. Never again!

Overall, it’s a good place but pricy!
Pizza was pretty delicious and really well prepared.
Pasta was not what I expected.
Salad was acceptable.

It’s better to say that a bottle of water will cost $8 before serving!
If they reduce the price by %20, it wouldn’t be beatable.

Amazing environment same as Europe but food (steak and lamb chops) was really smelly, just tast of garlic

Service was abominably slow and prices were 30% more than posted on the website and not really worth it. Too noisy. If they didn't have enough staff they should not have accepted so many reservations.

It was my first time going to a restaurant with my family after opening up in pandemic. The service was great, food was good and we really enjoyed.

Hostess was really terrific to find us a place outside in the patio.
Mushroom pizza was superb. Pear and Gorganzola salad was excellent as well. Dressing was crisp and light. The apple whisky gin and tonic was a wonderful cocktail.

First time here and loved everything about it. The food the service the atmosphere for a first experience were great.

You can't make a reservation unless you provide your full credit card info. So, if you don't come it can be charged $35 per person.

I love this place! Just love it! Food is delicious! It is NOT greasy and sloppy! It feels like you are eating at your favourite grandma's place. Traditional and delicious italian kitchen. Bravo

I really appreciated how safe the Il Fornello's patio felt with spaced out tables and screen dividers between tables. Staff were are all kind, courteous and respectful. Great food and good portion sizes. My group got a reservation the day before as well. Will come again!

We had a great time at this restoran, delicious fresh food, amazing staff, safe environment. Every table was separated by space devider, so guests was in some kind of cabin, very though throught dining. Strongly recommend this place.

I've always loved Il Fornello, whichever location I've been. In particular, we made a large order at this location and I was helped by Victoria. Thanks for taking care of things and being pleasant to deal with. As always, food was fantastic. Pizza was full of flavour and crispy, exactly how I prefer it. Pasta never disappoints. Arancini balls were maybe the best of all of the great things we ordered. Looking forward to ordering again.

We got a pizza and linguini pollo pesto pasta. Both were pretty good, but the pasta could've had more flavour, service was excellent at the restaurant though

With covid-19 here, the setting was a bit more different and a little less attractive.despite that, the food did not disappoint, the balcony is very toasty and well heated and the service was professional, prompt and nice.

My boyfriend & I had our first OFFICIAL date there (second meeting), now of 2+ years.
We go there every chance we get.
The food is delicious.
The ambiance is nice & romantic.
The servers are very welcoming & polite, we have even gotten to know one of the waiters (GUY).

Phenomenal experience. Everyone there went above and beyond, especially the host Michael when we tried to book a reservation. Everything was absolutely excellent.

A complete rip off and scam.for the amount of money you pay for pizza or a dish of pasta you would expect a regular portion like you would get anywhere else.not this place there is roughly 25 percent less food you are getting for what you would normally get and pay somewhere else. And it's not like this is gourmet quality.but they sure do charge like it is.you can get the exact same quality with a much larger portion just down the street at abruzzo all for the exact same price.if you feel like being ripped off this is the place to go.

Service was very slow. Soup was served cold after waiting a good 25 minutes for apps to show up in the first place. Mains were ok but we were anxious or leave at that point. The waiter was doing all the right things to make up for it by offering free drinks and even a bottle of wine on the house.

High-end menu means that this is not your local fast-food restaurant. Excellent quality is worth waiting for. I have been to several different locations, and they all have excellent Italian food. Sit down, relax and enjoy a nice dinner here. Expect to wait for amazing food. Service is professional. From pizza to risotto, it's all great. Bravissimo! E molto bene!

Food is consistently good but our experience varies depending on the server each we visit. The younger servers for the most part have an entitled attitude, one word responses, Barely a thank you after we pay for our meal. Some customer service training would go a long way.

The pizza and the pasta are well-cooked. I also enjoy the atmosphere and will definitely come again.

Bad Service, bad food. Bartender and waiter slow and poor attitude. Will not return ever ever again.

Bruschetta, tomatoes are soggy and bread is dry
Service staff, no smile, no appreciation for customers. Had to ask multiple times for drinks and the bill.

Had a great experience. It was busy but my date and I were promptly seated, service was great, food arrived quickly and was very good.

Absolutely the best dinner experience I have had in such a long time. GREAT FOOD, GREAT AMBIENCE, GREAT SERVICE, AND GREAT PEOPLE! WISH I could eat there everyday.

Beautiful restaurant and delicious food! A bit pricey however the experience is all worth it. Service is above and beyond and the manager, Michael, is an AMAZING person worth getting to know! I had my 18th birthday party here and my guests and I had such a special time!

No taste in their pasta. Zero flavor. If you want to charge $$ for your food at least make it taste good. Sorry.

I don't know if it was because of the day of the week, or if it was because we were the last customers of the night,  or maybe the five pieces of candy left after playing the bill, but what I do know is that the quality of the food the restaurant serves is only half as good as the level of service it provides. That said, Im compelled to tell you what amazing meal we had.the server was fantastico and super chill and made the experience that much more memorable. Bravo!

I ordered items from here specifying no meat, and then called the restaurant right after to ensure this order was received. They said yes yes, and then sent me a pizza full of pepperoni which I of course cannot eat. When speaking with the manager, he barely apologized and did not do anything to rectify it. Really terrible service, as I paid for this food that I now cannot eat.

I hadn't been to this location in a while, and man am I glad I went back! My family went here for my birthday - they took a last minute large party, which was fantastic! The food options are incredible. There is even an entirely gluten friendly menu (my sister is GF, so this was genuinely amazing for an Italian restaurant!). The food was just incredible. The gnocchi was plentiful and really tasty - the flavours were robust and really wonderful. We all enjoyed everything from start to finish. Apps, dinner, dessert - it was all fantastic. Our waitress was so very sweet and attentive and great with the kids at the table too. It's not often you have such a wonderful and well-rounded experience at a restaurant, but this one certainly deserves all the praise. I'm definitely going back.

Great experience! The pizza fresh out of the stone oven was delicious. All the crispy, mouth watering goodness you could ask for. The pasta was good as well, very tasty from the pasta to the rosé sauce. Second time here and would definitely go again.

Great food and location. The menu has many options. The service is good. The prices are a little on the higher end. The parking is free.

I wasnt a customer but an uber eats/ skip the dishes driver doing pickups out of this place. The back of house staff are incredibly rude and will flat out ignore you when you speak to them. When they do speak they are rude and openly waste couriers time. I end up a customer at a lot of the restaurants i pick up from but this one is definitely off the list just on how they treat couriers.

I'm sitting in the restaurant right now. I didn't get water when I sat down. My waitress never gave me her name. Thin Asian lady with short hair. She's got ALOT of attitude. I've been waiting for 40 minutes for my main after I got my very disappointing burrata app. The table has my dirty plates on it still and no one cares. There is staff right behinde me in the service area and they are standing around talking not doing much. Don't know why I'm here anymore. I've been a fine dining cook for 10 years and this honestly resembles Swiss chalet service and food quality. Also when my main arrived and I mean just arrived. There is no cutlery. And my medium rare steak is well done. I don't even want to eat my food if I had a fork to.

My wife and I came here for Family Day around 1pm for the Lunch Prix Fixe Menu. We had Calamari to start.she had her first corse as Cesar Salad and I had the Aranchini all of which came at the same time which was great because we wanted to share. For second corse we both had Margarita Pizzas.because let's be honest who dosent love a great Margarita! Service was great and fast as always.
